Could be a gem, but needs polish!
Good location for our weekend family wedding visit. Central Long Island location with easy access to major highways, good neighborhood. Convenient parking in semi cul-de-sac out front. Combination of brand new motorized Lounge type sofa and loveseat, brand new luxury type electric fireplace seemingly not usable. Had to plug in the sofa ourselves and move it away from the wall to recline. Did not really need fireplace but it did not seem to have power on. No instructions on how to operate anything including TVs no longer on cable. Had to figure everything out ourselves with limited time. For example there is a remote that operates a multi feature electric bed, but did not seem to operate any bed. The upstairs shower is great, and has jetted tub not mentioned in the listing; the downstairs shower is tricky because of faucet that does not cut off even when the shower is operating. If water is turned on full just to take shower the bathroom floor will flood. Nice tasteful decorations, with a modern touch in a typical mid-century Long Island House. On first look everything appears clean enough but, everything is coated with a good layer of dust, with trash from previous guests under the beds including water bottles and some clothing items. This unit is the larger part of the house that has been divided into two units. Handicap access only through back door ramp. Ample closets lots of nice hangers. Overall this looks like a work in progress and if the host completes the job this house has lots of potential. As it is, it is good but not great.

Quiet house in cul de sac
This house was a great place to stay while visiting family. We slept 8 people comfortably, with a nice sized dining room, kitchen and TV room in the back with super comfy lounge chairs. Loved it!

Unfortunately this experience left me with alot to be desired!
The rear stormed door was broken. The downstairs shower leaked, so, we had to clean up a puddle of water after each shower. Emailed the host, and never heard back from him! We will NEVER rent this property again!

Property manager not good with problems/people
The property was fine, though it would have been nice to have outdoor furniture and an extra bath towel or two would have been great. We arrived at midnight to find another family was in the rental. They had been given the keyless code to get in and thought they were in the right place, but their rental was in the back of the house. We got no answer when the property manager was called and finally we spoke to someone at Evolve. Only then did the manager call us. Instead of apologizing for the mistake and help problem solve, he argued that the other family could not have possibly have been given the code that they used to get in. Fortunately the other family was very kind and understanding and we worked things out ourselves which is more than I can say for the manager. I told him I expected some financial compensation and he agreed to one free night. The next day I had to call to ask for the bedroom and bathroom that had been used needed to be cleaned. Fortunately not everyone in our party had arrived so we did not need the use of that room on arrival, but it would have been a problem if we had, since we had no access to clean sheets or towel. The rooms did get cleaned the next day. We were all tired and frustrated, but I would recommend this property manager consider another career! Fortunatley everyone we dealt with in Evolve was professional and very helpful

Would not recommend
My family had travelled from the Midwest & Canada for a bridal shower in Garden City. Pros: 1. The house is spacious and recently updated. It comfortably sleeps 4 couples. 2. Pierre responded to our emails pretty quickly. 3. It’s hard to find a place to stay in this neighborhood, so we appreciate the location. 4. We also appreciated that we were able to bring your dog for an additional fee. Cons: 1. The place was filthy. My infant was crawling around the living room for a half an hour before he was covered in black dirt. There was pubic hair in the bathroom as if the bathrooms had not been cleaned at all. There was dirt and dust all along the staircase. The dishwasher is full and had not been emptied from the previous renters. One of the rooms had stained sheets. 2. The owner of the property has divided the house into 2 units so that there can be 2 rentals on 1 property, presumably to maximize profits. This means that both units share several walls with one another. This was a major point of frustration during our stay. 3. We complied with the No smoking policy, however the neighbors did not. The entire place smelled like cigarette smoke and marijuana from the neighbors next-door. They were smoking pot and coughing all night long, making it difficult for anyone to get a good nights sleep. Again we had an infant with us breathing in secondhand smoke all weekend. 4. Additionally, the neighbors had multiple dogs that were barking throughout the night. They were not cleaning up the dog poop that was left all over the lawn. 5. There were 7 of us staying there. The listing says that the house is set up to host 10 people however there was not glassware, dishes, etc for the 7 of us. There were only 5 towels in a house that’s supposed host 10. 6. While the first floor bathroom is beautiful in newly remodeled, the seal on the shower does not work so every time you shower the Floor is covered in water. The shower head was not functional and the owner had rigged the hand held shower with a coat hanger. Immediately upon arrival we messaged Pierre that the unit had not been cleaned properly and complained about the smell of smoke and marijuana. He sent someone the next day to clean. The woman was very nice. However it was a little bit frustrating that she denied that the unit was dirty even after we showed her the filth on the floor. She cleaned a little bit but not very much. Overall needs lots of improvement, but would not return.
