Everything was as listed. Very accommodating and the caretakers were very helpful. They made our stay possible. Nice relaxing place to be when saying goodbye to a loved one, and enjoying the company of the family members attending.

Country Stay

If you are looking for a place to stay while you are in Lebanon this is a nice place. The lighting in the house could be better. There are ceiling fans in all the rooms which is a plus but impossible to turn on either the fan or just the lights unless you are super tall. They could use longer chains. Overall the house was good for our group.

It would be great if Google Maps could update to recognize that the property pin is closer to the road than indicated. Google will take you right past the property to a mobile home instead. The property owner helped me turn back the right way. House and property are great and peaceful - would love to see light switches labeled and TV instrux added. But we figured it out!

Great for a family of 6

Our family of 6 loved staying here when we came in from out of state for a funeral. The house had everything we needed for a 3 day stay, very spacious and comfortable. A much better option for us over 2 hotel rooms, and cost a bit less. The front porch was great and my kids loved walking over to the horses and feeding them apples off the tree. Nice quiet location on gravel/dirt road. We didn’t see a way to get to the fishing pond though we hadn’t planned on fishing. There were other renters downstairs one night and we never heard them. The kitchen was so big, with the ample seating, we were able to host dinner one evening for our 6 plus 9 family members. Kids (6-14) didn’t complain about the beds’ comfort, ours was firm but we appreciated it. Would love to stay here again next time we come to Lebanon!

Property review

The shower heads in both baths need some work. In the spare the water didn’t divert to the shower head as supposed to so tub filled up and took time to drain. Ran out of hot water, for higher # that can stay there it’s nice to have enough hot water. There were red hoop earrings on the ground in a spare bed when we arrived not sure how well the cleaning crew cleans between guests when you pay extra to ensure it’s done after your stay they need to monitor that better. Just a few things that need some attention.

Good location for a group

Large property with a lot of land was good for a larger group. The fireplace did not work. There was no clear way to get to the private fishing pond. Kitchen was well equipped with everything needed. Property was very clean. Bedding was nice. Towels could have been bigger. We enjoyed our stay!

Nice roomy place; hard beds and cheap towels

The overall space was great! My family had plenty of room to spread out. The beds are like bricks, all of them! The towels are like sand paper and tiny. The wasps have a nest on the porch but the caretakers put spray out. The kitchen was equipped for the most part. There was no foil and the can opener is worthless, so there are a few items one would need if they were doing more cooking. Other than the hard beds and bad towels, they stay was enjoyable.

Pros: House was tidy. The front porch was amazing and the view was very pleasant. Great morning coffee or evening drink spot. Very affordable. Kitchen is stocked with essentials to get you through the weekend. (If you have young kids you might want to bring plastic cups and plates, this rental only provided glass. Cons: The beds!!!! Master bed was a hard innerspring bed, I could feel the springs and couldn’t sleep well so I was up late and up early. Very tired after the trip. The 2nd room bed was just as bad. The 3rd bedroom had bunks. The bottom bunk futon mattress was so thin we put it on the floor so the kid didn’t have to feel bars all night. The top bed only had sheets, no blanket. Listing said beds for 8. But they did not provide bedding for 8. There is a couch and futon in the living room to use as beds, but no sheets, blankets, or pillows. The towels!!! The cheapest motel towels! Think of white mini towels used in motels that almost hurt to use. The listing said they provide shampoo. And they did, 2 ounces of shampoo for the whole house no matter how long you are staying. There is a bottom unit in the house. A family with 3 young kids rented it the same weekend as us. They were very nice people, nothing against them. The rental used to be 1 house. They closed the stairwell with a door, and an open vent above the door. We could hear them and they could hear us as if we were in the same house. Not private at all. We got to hear a toddler cry a lot. Coffee, powder creamer, and sugar are large canisters that everyone has used. Poor communication!!! The day of my checkin the owner messaged me. Just the day of checkin. I had a grounds keeper number to contact but they were unavailability and never messaged back when I needed wasp spray for the wasp nest on the porch. Luckily my kids are older and stayed away from the wasps. Had to be at least 10 of them buzzing around the porch.

Remote but close to town!

Our family loved this property! Plenty of space, close to town, close to Bennett Springs/Niangua River floats, and has a private pond with hungry bluegill, bass, and catfish. The property was just a few minutes out of town but felt much more remote. A perfect combo. We were able to meet both the owner and caretaker. Both were very attentive and helpful. We will definitely stay again!!!
