Picton Suite
My boyfriend and I stayed in the Picton suite at the beginning of October. Firstly, the check-in instructions in the email had directed us to the suite at the top of the stairs, but our suite was actually on the main floor.
On our first nights stay, there were noticeable cobwebs in the bedroom/kitchen, and there was hair on the shower walls from whoever had previously stayed. It was quite apparent that the suite had not been cleaned properly prior to our arrival (maybe why there was no cleaning fee when we booked it). There were also other small things we noticed - kitchen wasn't stocked well (only one wine glass, salt/pepper shakers were dirty), one curtain in the living room window but two curtains on the rest, the bathtub was creaky with not much headspace, no sprinklers/fire extinguisher.
We texted the contact provided and heard nothing back for hours so we called the property management company and were informed that the person currently away.
I explained my concerns about the cleanliness of the suite and they tried to tell me that the cobwebs could happen in a span of hours (that seems pretty unlikely to me, even considering it's in the country) but offered to clean up the cobwebs and the shower. They provided all the items I requested for the kitchen and cleaned up the cobwebs and the hair in the shower but it didn't look like they did a full clean.
It looks nice at first glance but unfortunately we would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
