The Space:
Welcome to Yellow Door! This cozy two-bedroom, one-bath cottage is perfect for groups from 1 to 4 and Fido, too!

You'll enter Yellow Door from the adorable front porch, complete with a wood-burning chimenea and a charming swing, which overlook the friendly and safe neighborhood -- a perfect perch for your morning coffee or evening drink.

Step into the spacious living area. You will immediately be drawn to the stone fireplace -- with an easy-to-use gas burner, this promises to be one of your favorite spots in the house! Grab a book or a game and play a record from our collection to really start your vacation off right. If you are in the mood for something more low-key, cozy up on the couch and watch your favorite movie or show on the RokuTV (Disney+, Hulu, Netflix, Paramount+, and Fubo included). Don't forget the popcorn, hot chocolate, and bubbles from the kitchen!

The living area opens up to the dining nook, a perfect place for an intimate meal or a wonderful base to enjoy a game of Bananagrams or a puzzle. Be sure to pick your favorite page in the guest book and color a picture.

The living room provides access to both bedrooms -- one one each side. At the front of the house, the first bedroom is spacious and light-filled. You'll sleep like a baby on the super comfortable queen-sized memory foam bed, and you'll love our assortment of pillows -- we have something for everyone! If you're bringing a pup, there's even a special bed for them. With two closets and a luggage rack, there's plenty of room to unpack your belongings, no matter how long you are staying.

At the other end of the living area, louvered french doors open up to the stylish and cozy second bedroom. This bedroom also features our favorite queen-sized memory foam mattress and pillows for every type of sleeper. Snuggle up and watch your favorite shows from bed. A curtained entryway from this bedroom provides easy access to the kitchen for your mid-night snack or drink -- please note, there is no door between this bedroom and the kitchen, just a curtain, but with the first bedroom on the opposite side of the house, this bedroom still feels pretty private.

At the rear of the house, overlooking the spacious, fenced backyard, you'll find the fully-stocked kitchen. Whether you are a quick and easy breakfast type or you want to cook a full holiday meal, we have what you need. Bakeware, pots and pans, bowls, gadgets, utensils --- whatever your chef's heart desires. If you are in the mood for a snack, help yourself to our assortment of popcorn, oatmeal, or hot chocolate. Coffee or tea? We've got you! Enjoy the perfect French press with our locally-roasted whole bean coffee. If tea is more your jam, help yourself to our selection of caffeinated and herbal teas.

Step outside the kitchen and take in the beautiful, fully-fenced backyard. If you're bringing your pup, they'll have lots of room to roam, play fetch, or just nap in the sun while you relax around the built-in fire pit or have a nice meal under the lit pergola.

Back in the house, you won't want to miss the spa-like bathroom. We have carefully sourced a wide selection of small-batch, organic soaps, lotions, facial products, and candles for you to enjoy while you are with us. Enjoy a candle-lit soak in the tub with some bath salts or treat yourself to a mini-facial. Whatever you desire, we hope you'll feel refreshed.

Finally, if you need to do laundry while you are with us, help yourself to the in-house washer and dryer. We provide detergent, so no need to worry about bringing your own.

Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the house. Please help yourself to anything you might need. We are available via messenger or phone if you have any issues or need anything during your stay.

The Neighborhood:
Crestwood offers a wonderful balance of neighborhood feel with near-downtown convenience. One of the first suburbs of Birmingham, Crestwood has a lovely mix of homes, parks, sidewalks, and neighborhood shopping areas -- be sure to check out Crestwood Park, which is great for dogs and kids, and the Crestwood Shopping Center, which has some of our favorite stores, including Thank You Books and Urban Suburban, as well as a great coffee shop and small grocery. The neighborhood is adjacent to Avondale, with its fun mix of breweries, restaurants, event spaces, and coffee shops. And, its an easy drive to downtown -- within 10 minutes, you can be just about anywhere downtown.

Getting Around:
If you will have a car, the house has access to both on- and off-street parking. For those visiting without access to a car, uber/lyft are super convenient, and it is easy to bike from our house to parks, food, and entertainment in Avondale.

From the house, you can get to the airport in fewer than 10 minutes and most places downtown in 10-15 minutes. If you are passing through town, the house is easily accessed by 20/59.
