This cottage has just finished its renovation and now features all new furniture and a relaxed beach house style. Your stay here will ensure your time at the lake with family or friends is an Aussie experience without the need for the 15 hr flying time!

Enjoy the kayaks or the stand up paddle board and head straight out to the dock and onto the water.



The Space:

Situated in the Miller’s Bay canals just off West Lake in the quiet village of Wahpeton.

This home in a peaceful part of the lakes district offers a private dock where your boat and jet ski can be kept for the duration of your stay. Enjoy plenty of water fun at popular West Lake or travel by boat across the lake for dinner and entertainment at Arnold’s Park area. The Barefoot bar and parks marina is about a 15 min boat ride away or a 17 min drive. Perhaps you would prefer to just enjoy the ambiance of a fire on the lawns on a cooler night and a bbq on the grill. This is a family home for creating lasting memories in.

The property itself offers a spacious split level home including 3 bedrooms, master with King bed bed and a gorgeous view of the water. The second bedroom offers a queen bed and half bath ensuite while bedroom 3 also has a queen bed. The main bathroom with bath tub and shower over the bath is situated between the two Queen bedrooms.

The large eat in kitchen has all one could need when cooking up a storm and a Nespresso coffee machine for a relaxed morning coffee on the outside patio.

There is parking available on the driveway for two cars and also for one car inside the garage.

This property is ideal for couples or families with older children.

We are Australian and therefore we hope you’ll enjoy the little Aussie touches throughout the cottage including a bottle of local South Australian wine, vegemite for you to try on toast with butter and your morning coffee or Tim tam biscuits for the sweet tooth.

If staying in winter then perhaps try your hand at some ice fishing or ice skating on the lake. Fast wifi means you can also enjoy working from your home away from home or catch up on wherever you left off watching on Netflix.

Bed linen and towels are provided for all beds.

Feel free to bring your boat. There is no boat hoist but you can tie your boat to the dock as the water remains lovely and calm in the canals.

Kayaking is perfectly fine to do from the shoreline.

All bed linen and towels are included but please bring your own beach towels.



**IMPORTANT** This property has no fencing between the house and the water so young children must be watched closely at all times. The house is not set up for children under the age of 6. We suggest that this is not a suitable house for those with very young children.

**Strictly NO smoking or vaping anywhere at the property and NO parties. Immediate eviction and fines for anybody breaching these rules.

Must be 25 years of age to book.

Please also note that while we provide a smart tv and wifi, streaming services except for Netflix are not included so bring your own login details.

A 25% deposit is required upon booking confirmation, which includes a non-refundable $30 payment processing fee. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your stay. Additionally, a pre-check-in form must be completed before arrival, which includes submitting a valid ID, a selfie, and agreeing to our terms and conditions. Pricing reflects standard occupancy and associated household use. Accurate guest numbers must be confirmed prior to arrival to ensure the home is prepared and serviced accordingly.



Guest Access:

There is a locked box at the property and the code will be given on the morning of arrival.

Parking for two cars is available on the driveway and one car in the garage.

The Neighborhood:

Located on Kansas Ave, Wahpeton in the Miller’s Bay canals by West Lake.

You’ll enjoy the bike/walking trails, direct lake access and being able to walk the national park area and lakeside trails. You will find maps and more information about places to eat and things to do in the area inside the cottage in the local Okoboji magazine.

We charge an additional $40 per person per night above 4 guests. Please be honest with numbers.
