Great view with access to private back water beach! Serene surrounds great for stress relief, house was well furnished and well kept. No kitchen staples were provide but convenience store close by is open late so not much of a hassle. A memorable holiday!!

Amazing Views

Wow…what a fabulous outlook across Lake Victoria! A destination to ‘stop and smell the roses’ which is great for relaxation.

Great spot, views are better than the photos suggest.

Kitchen is big enough to cook up a feast, place has good feel to it especially in the living room. The views of the lake is very impressive too. Highly recommend!

What a view....

Perfect location with the most spectacular view. Slightly disappointed that we had to supply our own linen and towels at the pricepoint but otherwise, the house was exactly what we needed for a great week away.

The house and view was amazing. Very spacious and fairly good location. Only issue was we were only provided with minimal toilet paper and would be good if the property included hand towels and bath mats.

We enjoyed our stay overall—the location is incredible and the views are stunning. The top floor is beautiful, though it could use some maintenance.The deck has amazing views but needs major repairs. The outdoor recliners are quite old, and the umbrella was broken. Downstairs is spacious, but the bedding wasn’t very comfortable, and having to bring our own linen at this price was unexpected.There is direct access to the lake, but the path is extremely steep—only very fit people would manage the walk down and especially back up.We also experienced a power outage, which meant no electricity or water for around seven hours since the pump relies on power. For a house of this size, a backup generator is essential. It took 1.5 hours to get a response from the host, the phone number listed was disconnected, and we were told there was no generator or local support. A clear emergency plan and a reachable local contact are needed.The property has amazing potential, and with some maintenance and better emergency support, it could be an exceptional stay.

Excellent property

Great property in an absolutely fantastic location. The house was exactly as advertised, clean and easy to find. One of the most beautiful out looks you will experience. The bath rooms (3) were beautiful and clean and beds were very comfortable. Checking in was a breeze lots of crockery, cutlery and things for the little people. Great games room with lots of activities. A long drive for us just for a weekend, 3 or more days would have been perfect. Thank you for presenting you house so beautifully. No quiet enjoyment

The property is up for sale. People think that its ok to intrude on others solitude, so they can checkout the property up for sale. Even worse, was the indifference and rudeness of the intruders when told its not ok to come on property. We never got the sunset that was pictured. The intruders stole the only one sunset, the clouds didn't take. The house was dirty. Remants of a previous party and cobwebs. Looks like they clean after occupation and not before. The gas log fire does not work. The dishwasher does not take the large dinner plates provided by the host. The some doors do not open or close without effort. Umbrellas were broken. Retaining walls outside were crumbling. Plenty of parking and after bringing our own linen, the beds were comfy.

As explained this was due to a lack of communication and both the "Intruders" and myself have sincerely apologised for this. I am sorry that the platters dont all fit in the Dishwasher - sometimes this happens. This house is always cleaned after each stay. Thanks for your feedback. Great view - mod clarity needed on no linen on listing

Property was great. Didn’t notice that no linen was provided until it was too late and checked in. Had to buy linen due to this. Listing needs to be changed so it’s clear on the description (not in a seperate tab).

Stunning Views

Di has been an exceptional host, communication is extremely easy with prompt replies. My family and I had a wonderful stay, property was clean, comfy beds and the most amazing view of the lake and sunsets! A fabulous top living area with quiet retreats for children below. Beautiful Ninety mile beach a very short drive away which is a must visit!

We have owned Lakeview Retreat for nearly 17 years. We built the current house to replace the old cottage that was, unfortunately, beyond saving.
Although it is listed as a new Property, it was available with Vrbo/Stayz for some years but our Manager has recently moved on.
We have had many great Reviews from our tenants.
