Slatyfork Homestead is a charming 5 bed/3 bath farmhouse, originally built in 1913, located in Slatyfork Farms. Just a short drive to Snowshoe Mountain and the Greenbrier River Trail, you can experience the tranquility of nature while still being close to all the fun and adventure.



Set on an expansive 2-acre property, guests can enjoy the peaceful outdoors with a secluded pond, wide-open yard space, and two inviting porches perfect for morning coffee or winding down in the evening.



Inside, the main level features a spacious foyer, a cozy living area complete with a fireplace, a dining space that comfortably seats 10 guests, a well-stocked kitchen, laundry room, plus one bedroom and a full bathroom.



Upstairs, you’ll find four additional bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a master suite. Each bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, and one also includes a twin bed for added flexibility.



This farmhouse is full of character, from creaky floorboards to the occasional tiny visitor. In the warmer months, you may notice ladybugs, flies, or other harmless insects wandering through. They’re just part of the country home experience, a small reminder of the nature all around, while we keep the house clean and comfortable for your stay.

Just minutes from the Highland Scenic Highway, Slatyfork Homestead is the perfect home base for exploring all that Pocahontas County has to offer.

*Please note there is a private apartment on the back of the house that is inaccessible to guests. The private apartment does not have access to the main house. 

**Please Note: Snowshoe Mountain Resort temporarily closes from mid-October to Thanksgiving every year for transition from mountain bike season to ski season. It is a beautiful area to explore and plenty of outdoor adventures anytime of the year, but please know amenities will be limited. Please contact us with any questions.



A Few Notes to Mention

Snowshoe Mountain Resort is known as the Island in the Sky, providing top-rated amenities and entertainment at an elevation of 4848 feet in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Due to its location, there is no cell service within an hour from Snowshoe, and WIFI in the Village may be unreliable. Please be sure to have directions and contact numbers prior to traveling.

At Elevation Vacation Rentals we know how important connectivity is – even while vacationing – which is why we offer free WIFI at all our properties.

Ten days prior to your arrival you will have access to our online Guest Portal. The Guest Portal is your hub for important (and helpful!) information regarding your stay. One day prior to your arrival, you will receive an email with the door code, Wi-Fi, and home location information.
