Fabulous tucked away spot with all the amenities for a perfect lakeside escape. Visited with our adult children, young grandchildren and pup. Everyone had a fabulous time and we cannot wait to return.

Perfectly situated to be the escape we were hoping for. The kitchen is well equipped and open concept to the dining and living area. This was a buying trip for a private liquor store and after multiple stops touring and tasting each day it was the perfect spot to return to.

This place is so special!! Very private, beautiful view and it was easy to bike from the cottage to all winery! The place is very clean, spacious and thr hosts are very quick at answering questions. We truly had the most memorable stay and shared so many laughs!! Would highly recommend, I still can't put into words on how beautiful the cottage and the view were!!

Wonderful Vacation

Hoots Hideout did not disappoint us. The property is beautiful. The house is very roomy. There is always something to do. Canoeing, paddle boards and enjoying the sunsets from the hot tub on the beach. Would highly recommend this place. Many thanks to Hoots.

Hooting Happiness!

Perfect launch point for our group of 6 to cycle, run and chill. Great access to KVR trail, road-cycling routes and wineries. Loved the quiet end-of-road water-front location. Loved the fully equipped digs and recreational water-options, including hot-tub. And appreciated the quick check-in greeting by Geoff.

Great stay, enjoyed the hot tub, paddle boards and property. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and well decorated. A couple things to note, there are cameras on the property (it does not state this in the listing, which legally they are supposed to). I also got a tick on myself at the property (which is just apart of the area).

Piece of Paradise

We had a wonderful stay here! Our family and adult kids all enjoyed our time in this spacious and well laid out home on the water. We enjoyed water activities, swimming off the dock, boating and paddle boarding. Had coffee on the deck every morning and local wine with a wonderful dinner every night. We enjoyed using the well stocked kitchen. Every detail is well thought out. The location is perfect for wine tours and biking with some great restaurants nearby also. We all agreed that we loved staying here and would like to one back again in the future. Thank you to the Hoots team for creating and sharing this special place.

Weekend fall getaway

We were three adults (husband, wife, and adult child). Overall, very nice. Felt like it had been recently renovated and was an easy relaxing place. Kitchen very well appointed, with everything the home chef could want (eg the knives were sharp!). A variety of bedroom options with varying mattress hardness, bathrooms clean, functional. The staff were very responsive to our few needs. Unfortunately the weather was on the wet and stormy side, but inside was cozy. Proximity to the KVR a bonus. Enjoyed a couple of long hikes on the trail. Two suggestions: bathrobes would be a nice touch, given that it was a little chilly; shower floors potentially slippery (metal) although beautiful - but perhaps some way of lightly roughing up the floor surface.

Perfect get away

There was no disappointment with the property as it lived up to the pictures. Thoughtful placement of things such as patio umbrellas and a fire pit made the spaces more useable and more comfortable. From a well equipped kitchen to towels in all the rooms we did not find ourselves wanting for anything. The location and views are excellent.
