Coastal Retreat with Private Heated Pool – 4BR/3BA

I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. I would like to respond to your issues. The beach access is behind the house to the adjacent street, which has an immediate beach access. Maybe 500 feet total. The house is very clean and sand is always a battle at the beach. You had our cleaner come back out to sweep the porch and I have a pic showing there was very little sand in the dustpan for the entire porch. Three things I can't control that you mentioned. Double red flags and murky water, mother nature. Internet down, that was the internet provider. The sump pump alarm was a city line issue that was corrected. You can take all the showers you want now.

Jim, I do care that everyone has a great vacation at our place. The defensiveness was you were calling me two days after you had stayed an entire week and wanted a refund on the stay before you would leave a review. We reviewed all of your issues over the phone and you agreed that all items were addressed promptly on the same day you called my property manager. That was one day into your seven day stay. The only exception is the master shower drain. It was not clogged, it was draining slowly due to beach sand. It was the 4th of July weekend, so the earliest I could get someone there was two days after the 4th of July. We try our best to keep everyone happy. As I stated on our call, we can't refund bookings just to avoid the threat of a bad review. We will do everything possible to address any issues as quickly as we can. Best wishes regardless. Ashley, We are sorry you were not happy with your stay. Anyone looking at this review should look at previous reviews to assess the credibility of this review. I want to note that you put together a small list of complaints within 15 minutes of your arrival. Within an hour, I had my maintenance and cleaning crew on site, ready to address your concerns. You refused to let them proceed with any support. Replying to your concerns. There are no exposed nails or rotting deck boards on the porch. The porch rugs could have been vacuumed for sand, but that is about it. The damaged interior doors you mentioned are two scuff marks from luggage. We could have gladly buffed those marks out. The kitchen cabinets and backsplash are as shown in the listing pics. You showed me two ¼ inch white spots on the couches that we could have removed with a sponge. There is no mold in the shower, nor did you send any proof of that. The laundry is in a downstairs closet and does have a 2” gap, but that closet is not connected to the rest of the house. I don’t understand the issue. You were also upset about the mother-in-law suite being a separate entrance even though it is listed that way. It is not mis-represented. You didn’t receive a refund from VRBO because they did not feel your pics were justification to break a contract and refund the booking. I agree with their assessment.
