We're famous for our welcoming nature, great Creole cuisine, and Mardi Gras (of course). At 1500 Canal, you'll get plenty of all three. Meet like-minded souls in the rooftop pool over the sunset, or break a sweat in the fitness center. Each modern apartment includes a Chromecast for streaming, in-suite laundry, and a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Don't feel like cooking? Mambo's is around the corner serving flavorful Cajun seafood. Or walk to the French Quarter for Jackson Square and the buzz of Bourbon Street. Let your good times roll at 1500 Canal.

Lackluster Experience

This stay was one of my least favorite VRBO stays that’s I’ve ever been apart of. First and foremost, I booked a 2 bedroom with a pullout for 6 guests on VRBO and the listing changed to a 1 bedroom apt with a max of sleeping 4 people. Thank goodness I checked the listing ahead of time and was able to sort things out after an hour and a half wait on the phone. How are listings not locked in? Once we got to the stay, the air conditioning hardly worked and the rooms were incredibly hot. The pullout had no blankets or bedding and we were told it would take up to 24 hours to get some. The toilet button was broken and consistently flushing on its own. The back bedroom smelt like sewage the entire time. The dishwasher wouldn’t run, the toaster had coils sticking out of it and the microwave plate didn’t fit in the microwave and wouldn’t turn. Lastly, the pool was teenie tiny, there was one lounge chair and we had to wait a half hour after open for someone to come unlock the pool door. Super unfortunate and misleading experience with our stay.

Perfect place

Huge. Clean everything worked. Well stocked. Helpful people. Quiet. Central location. We each had our own room and bath. Large living room and full kitchen at a great price

Literly blocks from parade route. Parking lot was cheep & safe behind our place. We walked to everything. Always felt safe & everything was clean & tidy.

Surprise!

This was a surprise four day/three night trip to celebrate two birthdays. The Sonder is located on Canal Street with good access to the streetcars. It is not a French Quarter type accommodation, if that is what you are looking for, but you will get a very large unit at a reasonable price. Your savings will pay for using Uber if needed. We had two bedrooms, each with a king bed, and two bathrooms. There was a living room with a sofa bed and also a kitchen. We did not have linens for the sofa bed but they were quickly provided when we called. During our visit, the lobby bar was only open on Friday night and closed early (9pm). If you want one more cocktail, don’t plan on having it there. Enjoy NOLA!!
