Thank you for your review. I'm so sorry about the smell. It definitely was not coming from the water. However, our plumber found a warped seal that was occasionally letting sewer gases escape under the kitchen sink. We are hopeful that he was able to remedy the problem.

Hi Tim, I am very sorry to hear about your experience with mold at our home. You will note that this has never been mentioned in any other review that we have received over the years. I definitely plan to check it out when I go over to the property tomorrow as I cannot imagine how the mold would have gotten there. I"m very sorry that you weren't comfortable eating there and would like to refund you $200 of your payment to help defray the costs you incurred for having to eat out.

Lance, I'm really sorry the air conditioning did not work during your stay. We were not aware of it as it had not been turned on for this season yet. Unfortunately we were not able to get a repairman in over the weekend, but he came yesterday morning and got it fixed. We will check out the ceiling fan this week as well since we did not know it wasn't functioning. Once again, I'm sorry for this inconvenience. I'm thankful the weather wasn't unbearably hot during your stay. Thanks for the 5 star review in spite of these issues. We hope you'll come again next year!

Thank you for your "4 star" review of our VRBO home. I'm sorry if you were offended by the "hunting lodge" feel of the home. We do mention "hunting-themed" in our property description as we realize that not everyone appreciates seeing mounted animals in a home, and we certainly don't want to mislead anyone to think otherwise. This home is actually used as a hunting lodge during the winter months, thus the hunting theme. We trust you found the beds and home comfortable and clean otherwise! Sorry about your not being able to lock the door when you left, it should just lock itself upon closing, but somehow the lock must have been turned (perhaps in an attempt to lock it?)
