The 10-capacity, newly renovated cottage sits slightly elevated from the lakefront. And the view alone is enough to make you forget all your troubles, not to mention the colourful, almost-hypnotic sunsets.

The cottage dubbed "The Beaches" was built in 1850 as a log fishing cabin.
Come enjoy the rustic romance, true and original to this 170 year old beauty.

One sunny morning here and you’ll never want to leave.

His wife and co-owner, Tanya is considered by all to be the “hostess with the mostest” and corners are never cut when it comes to her impeccable taste for design elements and her knack for ensuring her guests (at home and otherwise!) experience the most comfortable visits / stays.

Everything you need.

Stayed for a long weekend with my family. We have stayed at many VRBO rentals. This was hands down the most well stocked kitchen we have encountered. Every utensil or spice was there. The owner really takes pride in the place. She provided everything we needed and was really great to work with. The place was exceptionally clean and we felt like guests in a nice cottage and not renters eating off paper plates. Except for the rain, we really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful property, unique character, amazing host

We loved our time at this beautifully restored property. Cliffside view of the many moods of the lake was wonderful. Tanya is an outstanding host. Absolutely nothing was missing and the coffee bar was a hit! Thank you for some wonderful family time

I am stylist and owner of Wabi Sabi Hair + Body in downtown London. My husband and I happened upon this prime piece of history (and real estate!) just by fluke, but it was love at first sight. Being innately passionate of home design, I saw an immense potential in the Lakeside Retreat.

My Husband Chris is a general contractor and has three trades in the construction industry. being the jack of all trades, this project of love mixed with elbow grease was the perfect project for us!

We cannot wait to host you and make you feel welcome and at home!

The benefits of this particular cottage aside from the incredible views of Lake Huron, is the lakefront location (it is the last house on a dead-end street). It is very safe for littles and pets, and there's a park down the road for the kiddies. The layout of the cottage makes it ideal for two families, and at the same time a perfect romantic getaway for 2.
