This newly renovated house features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas, one for the adults and a kid’s zone, dining area and breakfast bar, a modern kitchen with Bosch appliances, spacious well-equipped laundry and a double carport. The main bedroom features an ensuite and there are three Smart TVs with access to Netflix to satisfy all guests. Sit on the expansive timber deck each afternoon to enjoy the stunning lake views, a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the water.

Beautiful property immaculately presented, super clean and had everything imaginable for a great stay. Ken, our host was terrific, coming and sorting a minor issue for us and providing some local knowledge. Brilliant view and location. Wonderful stay.

Great stay on the lake
Our family loved staying in this amazing house overlooking the lake. The house has lots of separate areas so the kids could have their own spot to play. The deck is a great spot to spend the afternoon watching the native wildlife. Plenty of space in all rooms made our stay very easy.

Absolutely brilliant getaway
Beautiful property overlooking Wallis Lake - "aaah the serenity..." Gorgeous view, extremely comfortable house, everything we needed was there. After long days on the beach competing, so great to come back to this place and simply chill. Highly recommend

Disappointing, neighbour noise, unclean
We booked a long deserved 4 night stay at this property to have a much needed family break away.
Our experience of this property lead us to leave before our final night booking.
These are just some of the items noted.
There was hair in the beds, on the Kitchen benchtops, en-suite shower and even in the coffee canister on the bench.
The property owners organised garden contractors for 7am on our first morning. The neighbours both sides used sanders and various power tools from early morning to evening yet the property had signs inside to ask stayz customers not have the deck lights on past 930pm.
The room our daughter slept in had a bunk bed, with a ceiling fan that was less than half a meter from her mattress - a major risk!
The outlook had very dirty glass sliding doors looking out to the “key feature” - the lake. There were ants all through the en-suite which got in to all our toiletries.
I have travelled globally and stayed in numerous hotels, motels and all types of accommodation and felt that the lack of cleanliness, safety, cost per night and general linen / bedding was absolutely appalling.
The property also advertised having kayaks however there were no kayaks only large old canoes which were too heavy for an average person to even move.
We contacted the owners regarding the neighbours power tool noise and had to leave as it was so unpleasant, yet the owners kept our entire booking cost without hesitation or any consideration to our concerns.
There are loads of other places where the owners take care, consider the guest experience and make the guests want to say yes I really enjoyed my stay.
This place is unclean, noisy and overpriced - don’t book and instead go for another stayz property.

- When we met you outside the property during your stay we checked that you were comfortable and happy with the house which you confirmed. We do concede that on occasion things may be overlooked or not to standard but certainly not how you have described. The 5 star reviews on Stayz endorse this and I have pasted below verifiable reviews we received from another platform immediately prior to and after your stay which are truthfully reflective of our guests experience.

This is a lovely house with an amazing view for sunsets in the evening. Quiet, relaxing and has a well equipped

- The garden contractors were not organised by us but work independently to maintain adjacent properties. On the day in question I saw them arrive at 8.15am, not 7.00am as you stated and they completed their work by around 10.00am at the latest. Following your complaint I checked with neighbours and guests staying beside and opposite the house and none of them confirmed the veracity of your comments with regard to times or use of power tools.
- The fan on the ceiling was disabled last year and therefore was not functioning and posed no danger; the top bunk bed was not made up for use as confirmed when you booked.
- The sign on the glass sliding door is not to spoil our guests enjoyment but requests them to be mindful of noise and lights affecting neighbours houses as the location is so quiet.
- There are ants and insects around the property because it is in a bush setting and it is possible these were in the house. However, we have received no previous or subsequent complaints regarding this issue and the house is regularly treated for pests. There were no sign of ants on your departure.
- The kayaks are heavy but this also ensures their stability and safety for inexperienced users. Similar craft are available at all our properties and we have never received any complaints or feedback with regards to moving them. My children grew up using exactly the same craft without difficulty.
Travis at no time did you raise any of the above concerns apart from the issue of noise on the day you departed. As mentioned, other guests and neighbours have endorsed they did not hear the noise issues you have described.
Why you left a day early is unclear but it certainly was not due to unclean conditions, safety or noise factors. Your threat of submitting a withering review unless you were refunded a night's stay was also noted on your day of departure.
We take the satisfaction of our guests seriously but your review is unfair and untruthful. If there was any essence to your complaint we would have certainly and without question discussed and arranged compensation at the time.
