The biggest plus point is the location. It makes all else bearable. While the property owner was helpful, the lack of forward thinking made for a poor experience. When we checked in, I had no idea which room in the house with 9 other occupants our loft was. After trying all doors but trying to stay quiet, we gave up and contacted the owner. He then explained which door it was. He should have foreseen this difficulty. The loft was very cramped. If you open the door, step inside, u have to move away from the door to close it. The goal seems to be to maximize the number of rentals ie the number of rooms. Then comes the more dangerous aspect. As u climb up the narrow steps, there is a loose step. For older people, it's definitely not advisable to choose this home. The bedding was worn, as was the small couch. Old toiletries were left behind from past tenants. The plus point was the shower had good water supply. The washer dryer was located in the basement, down some narrow steps, and when it rains, the floor can get wet and very slippery. I think it won't cost much or require effort to improve the experience. A better job cleaning up (which is charged anyway) and some cleaning supplies like a broom to maintain the apartment while we lived there would help. Some new sheets, and a better couch too. In any case, the owner was helpful when we needed to extend a week. After that my wife moved to a hotel in Katong which has daily service and was cleaner and cheaper.
