Ville de Quebec getaway

This was a funky & comfortable little suite in a vibrant part of town - lots of nearby restaurants & cafes and an enjoyable walk to Old Quebec. Excellent communication by hosts. Reasonable parking nearby. Easy to access, but also feels very secure. Thank you, we would recommend this suite very highly!

Great apartment in a somewhat edgy area

Bed is super comfy and kitchen stocked with pots etc. A few things could use some cosmetic repairs but functioned well. It is a fair walk into the old city. Sadly there were a number of folks hanging around outside, sleeping in doorways, and making rude comments.

Love Old Town

We had a great stay. The loft was perfect for the 2 of us. Francois was a great host and even though we did not meet him he always responded to our questions very quickly. It was in a great area with lots of great eating places and an easy 15 minute walk to the water where there is so much to do. Would go back in a heartbeat. Very confusing check in.

Check in was awful, we were locked out and had to wait for a new code. Not clear on parking spot and got a $30.00 ticket. Was told it was a easy walk to Old Town and it definitely wasn’t a way walk. Lots of homeless people and the area was dirty. Plus the linens were dirty!!!!

No air conditioning and no free parking as stated in email

It was 53 degrees Fahrenheit outside and temperature inside apartment would not go bellow 78 degrees. A/C did not work properly. Unit not well stocked and TV could not be turned off and remote did not work. Would not stay here at all. Obviously owner knew of A/C issue because had large fan in unit. Il y a beaucoup d’itinĂ©rants dans le coin ce qui fait qu’on a pas beaucoup dormi car ils crient la nuit dans la rue juste sous notre fenĂȘtre !!! Ma fille est sortie s’acheter un cafĂ© un matin et un itinĂ©rant l’a suivi et a essayĂ© d’entrer lorsqu’elle est entrĂ©e avec son code d’accĂšs ( Une chance qu’elle a fait vite car il a essayĂ© la porte quelques secondes aprĂšs) . Il y a mĂȘme eu des cris d’engueulades sur notre Ă©tage ( a l’intĂ©rieur) Ă  3h du matin hier soir !! Le divan lit n’était pas trĂšs confortable et la lumiĂšre du miroir Ă  maquillage ne fonctionnait pas

Outre le fait qu'il faut bien lire les instructions attentivement pour bien rentrer facilement dans son logement, la place était parfaite et idéal pour un couple. On se sentait en sécurité et je recommande comme une place de choix pour ceux visitant Québec. Toutefois noté que si vous voulez visiter le vieux-Québec, c'est 30 minutes de marche solide, avec de grosses pentes à faire donc soyez en forme ou n'ayez pas des genoux faibles.

Beautiful Quebec City

The property is exactly as listed in the description. It was very comfortable and in a nice location with coffee shops and restaurants everywhere within walking distance. Old Quebec was also within walking distance which is really convenient and nice. Unfortunately the city decided to cut the electricity off while we were there. We were notified of this 3 days before our stay. Turns out the electricity part wasn't so bad as it was off 8pm-5am, however, subsequently for some reason our water was turned off. Because of this we couldn't leave the loft and start our day until close to noon. The property manager was very attentive to the situation which we appreciate, but it was a huge inconvenience. The parking tag was also nice to have as it gave us the opportunity to park the car 5 min away from the loft and we were able to easily access our car to travel to farther away places. Overall it was a great stay!

Trendy Location

The property is located along a very busy and trendy street. There are lots of restaurants and bars in this area. There is a supermarket located at the end of Rue Saint Joseph (along the property). If you plan to walk to Old Québec area, please be prepared for a steep incline of around 200 feet according to Google Maps. The walk is only 1.3 miles to the Fairmont Le Chùteau Frontenac (one way). If you are unable to walk this distance, there are public buses and Uber. Lyft is not available in this area. Also, please keep in mind that construction is ongoing everywhere in Québec City. There are detours, closed streets, and rush hour traffic. These made it a somewhat stressful for us since we drove. The included open parking and instructions were great and a must; though, the parking area needs to be re-paved as there are a lot of potholes. The room was clean, adequate in size, and all amenities were working; except, 2 light bulbs that were not functioning. The air-conditioning worked well. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were ok but could use a replacement. Some of the pillows were hard. Lastly, due to the construction and a bar/restaurant next to the property, it could be noisy especially on a Friday and Saturday night. If you are a light sleeper, please bring ear plugs, a sound machine, or earphones.

Good stay for a good price

This is a really good home base if you are looking for something nice for a reasonable price. There were lots of great restaurants nearby and a grocery store within a few minutes walk which was very convenient. There was plenty of room for two of us, but there were some very minor issues (bathroom door was tight and would not close all the way, missing parking pass and there was no furniture on the rooftop as shown in the listing even though we were there in July/August). The owner addressed the missing parking pass right away and the other items were minor inconveniences. It was a bit far to walk back and forth to Old Quebec and the taxi service left something to be desired which made it a bit frustrating. While we were there the road in front of the building was pedestrian only which also added to a bit of difficulty getting a taxi. Overall we would stay here again and perhaps rent a car next time. If you are ok with being a bit farther from the main tourist attractions then this is a great spot to be in!
