Great location

The house is in a great location it also has great family hang out spots. Loved how eaay it was to walk to beach. Down side the house was not very stocked with basic suppplies so it required trips to publix for things like salt.

Spring Break Getaway

Enjoyed the easy walk to the beach. Like the small, little community that the house is in and having access to a pool. The listing accurately described the house and there was plenty of room for our group.

Perfect Beach Spot

The easiest place to stay! Check-in and Check-out were seamless. The location to the beach is truly a short 3 minute walk and the pool is even closer. The house does show some wear and tear but nothing significant. We would stay here again.

Nice Place

Sunny D was a great place to stay for a reasonably priced beach vacation. It is a short walk to the beach. Pool is a community pool and also a short walk. We would stay here again for sure. Areas that have room for improvement - the beach wagon needs new wheels or needs replaced. Could use an extra beach umbrella or two.

Everything we wanted and needed for a family vacay

Big, lovely, well appointed, house two blocks from the beach with shopping and restaurants nearby. The layout was so cool and worked great for our family with the kids and grandkids in the main house and the grandparents in the carriage house which was perfect for grabbing a quiet nap or getting ready in our own private suite.

Me and my girls enjoyed the house for the weekend. We noticed that there was a drip in the shower and sand in some of the sheets but other than that, it was cleanly and we were able to check in early and set up for the other guests and we loved the location. The house was perfect and spacious for us all!

We had a small family gathering so we had rented two houses, this one and another one Right on the beach. so we didn’t spend a whole lot of time in this house,but the time that we were there, nothing was needed. This house comes with everything you’ll ever need to make the most out of your vacation. Very satisfied, thank you!

great family vacation week in a very homey Sunny D!

loved Sunny D. A few little bumps upon arriving but the problems solved immediately! Plenty of room, enough linen and towels. It was conducive for our families with children ranging from 5 thru 23. The neighborhood was so clean and quiet for families. It was a very warm week but the house was adequately air conditioned. would I rent this house again? at the drop of a hat!!

Great location

The location is incredible and the house is pretty nice with great space and updates. However, the home did have a unique smell and we had some issues at check-in with lack of toilet paper and trash bags. The welcome book and check-in info is a bit too much information so just make sure you set aside enough time to read through everything. I also feel that this house doesn’t come very well equipped. I would expect a rental home to have salt, pepper, cooking spray, coffee filters, small non perishable essentials that guests would need to utilize the kitchen. We also killed about a dozen roaches throughout our stay. I did appreciate the beach amenities that were available to use in the garage - those came in handy! I had high expectations for a nice beach house but if you don’t care about the small details then overall this place is an amazing location and great for a quick beach weekend!

Nice place, but not very clean

We did not report the bugs during our stay because we didn't want to have to deal with people and bug spray people while on vacation. But, while cooking one evening, my husband had a baby roach crawling on his shirt. There were several dead larger roaches located during our stay. The cleaning crew didn't do a good job sweeping up or cleaning over all. I would not necessarily avoid it, but I would wash all dishes and cookware before use and would also wash sheets before use or bring .y own next time.

Nice house, but needs a little TLC

We had a wonderful week at Sunny D! It's located close to the beach and in a nice clean community. The house itself was clean, but needs a little love. The wicker chairs in the living room were broken (the support bracing underneath the cushions was completely busted), there were broken wooden blinds in the living room, and there is an old washer (or dryer, not sure) sitting on the back porch. The kitchen cabinets had labels of where items should be stored (tupperware, glasses, etc), but nothing was in the right place. It was an adventure to prepare meals! We had children with us and the door knobs lock easily, but there was not a key available to get them unlocked! Lastly, the loft "bedroom" (twin bed with trundle) is TINY with only a small hanging bar and barely any room to have luggage up there. Just a few criticisms, but overall we enjoyed our time there!

Great Location, Good size, Few Amenities, and Needs a Deep Cleaning

My family of 10 stayed at this property for our family vacation. I would rate this property a 3 due to the cleanliness and lack of amenities. The location was great, very close to the beach. There is a neighborhood pool, but it is very tiny. Most homes in the neighborhood have pools. The size was good, but the amenities were few. We did not have enough towels for our party of 10. There was some dirty linens on the beds. The sofa in the primary bedroom was gross. Brown stains and debris on the sofa and under cushion. Ceiling fans were dirty and had not been cleaned. The sofas on the main floor was also very dirty and had crumbs and debris that had not been cleaned up. All sofas in the home need cleaning. The primary bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. We did not have a good nights sleep during our stay. There was not enough toilet paper and we had to buy toilet paper and hand soap on the first day. There was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms. The toilet paper in the home was not full rolls and did not have any supplies. The owner should consider the number and days that guests will be staying to ensure the basics amenities are adequate. There were beach chairs that came in handy, but there were no bikes or toys or games for teens. The wagon that could transport the chairs to the beach was broken and could not be used. This home does not offer a golf cart option. The owner acknowledged the cleanliness issues. I would not stay at this property again.

BEST place in Destin. 5 stars. Will be back!!

Speechless…what an amazing property. Arguably the best vacation rental I’ve stayed at. Absolutely perfect. Had to leave our home due to Hurricane Ian and enjoy a few days elsewhere. Being a last minute reservation, I figured that all of the better homes were already booked, but I was wrong. Sunny D exceeded our expectations. Large home that is tastefully decorated, updated, and is obviously well-cared for. Bathrooms all appear to be newly remodeled and without expense spared. Everything was found to be immaculate and clean. Very close proximity to the beach and any store or type of restaurant we wanted meant no need to drive anywhere. Though, for the couple times where we ventured out and didn’t feel like walking, the bicycle’s were great to have. A bike ride down the beach taking in the views of the beach, sunset, and enjoying the fresh air made for a wonderful evening after stopping at a local restaurant for a delicious seafood dinner. Only time we drove was to and from the airport. Our guest contact, Justin, was an absolute pleasure and very responsive. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your lovely home. Very nice house and close to the beach

We were a family of 7 adults and 1 2 yr old, and there's a lot of room. It felt like it could easily fit double the amount of people comfortably. Parking in the driveway could fit 3 cars. Beach was walking distance. Grocery was a few minutes drive. Wifi was very fast. There were some kind of flies in the kitchen when we got there but they stayed there in that area and also they were gone after just 1 day. No big deal. The kitchen was fully furnished though the knives need some sharpening. The grill was tankless gas, but only had 1/3 burner working. Some lights and ceiling fans weren't working but there were enough lights to illuminate everything and the central A/C unit was powerful enough to cool down the entire house quickly. This house has a tankless water heater so running out of hot water wasn't an issue at all. The shower outside is a nice touch. Overall, will book this house again.

Just right!

We enjoyed our stay at Sunny D! The house was just the right size for our family of 8 with a couple of beds to spare. The walk to the beach is no more than 5 minutes, and the community pool was great. The neighborhood is quiet with lovely homes. The home comes with 6 beach chairs and 2 wagons to transport them. There’s no umbrella and renting one with 2 chairs is $50/day regardless of weather conditions. Consider bringing your own. We would stay at Sunny D again!

Exceeded Expectations

Our time in Destin exceeded all expectations and having a beautiful home like this was the main reason why. The owners shared their beautiful home with us and you can feel the love. There are plenty of beds to sleep in, places to read a good book, wonderful kitchen to cook in and all within a very short walk to the beach.
