cosy and cute self contained hut

Our cosy and cute self contained hut is peacefully tucked away amongst farmland and is just a 15min walk to the beach. A highlight of our property is unwinding in the outdoor bath underneath the stars!

Our hut is an ideal location for a stopover on the stunning Southern Scenic Route.

The space - This is a romantic cosy private hide away.

Clean & tidy self contained Hut on a large 1/4 acre section with native planted gardens.

Studio Layout. Queen bed, lounge, kitchenette. The hut size is 8m x 3m

Shower & toilet are accessed via the deck

The deck is a great space for sunbathing, meditation, yoga & outdoor dinning.

Outdoor Bath - relax & unwind in the outdoor bath under the stars = bliss (there is hot water running to the bath).

A great Hut near the coast, private and peaceful, nice but casual & a little bit special.

Kitchen basics. Mini oven, hotplate, fridge, kettle & toaster.

Bedding and towels are provided.

A selection of herbal teas and plunger coffee are included as well as milk and a variety of spreads, sauces, oils and condiments.

Whilst our cosy wee hut only has a queen size bed, we are happy for you to use your own small tent outside on the lawn if you are travelling with children. Or there is space at the foot of the bed for a port-a-cot if you are travelling with a little one.

Please note: the section is not fully fenced (in regards to dogs and small children). There is an area behind the toilet where the neighbours fence is just 1 electric fence across; not a full fence.

Take in the rural views and serenity... no wifi!

Well-behaved pets are most welcome to come with you to the Southern Scenic Stargazer. They are however not to be inside.

Also dogs are not to be left unsupervised on the property. Our property is almost fully fenced (there is a small section behind the bathroom that has only 1 electric fence across so a small dog could get under but then can't go far). There is a large shed on the property where your pet will be cosy at night time. Please do notify us when booking that you are bringing pets with. Any evidence of pets being inside will incur a $150 cleaning fee.

ATTN Te Araroa trail walkers: we have a laundry on site which you are welcome to use. The large shed on our property is also the perfect space to hang and dry your hiking gear, jackets, tents etc. Plus we have the outdoor bath which is just what your sore muscles will need after all that tramping!

Other things to note:
Robes (to keep you cosy as you walk out to the loo in the night). The bed has a high quality memory foam mattress. We have also just installed a heat pump so the Hut is super cosy. And a gas califont system means the shower is amazing!
