Stunning Modern Rustic Lake Retreat PRVT BOAT SLIP
Caribou Cabin is nestled on 2 beautiful acres of green grassy mountainside looking down on one of the best views of Lake Glenville. This perfect location offers stunning sunrise and morning views, when the smoky, heavy fog slowly rolls across the water; until sunset, when the bright oranges and pinks reflect off the lake's surface.
A short 5-minute jaunt down the grassy hillside takes you quickly to your own dock slip, where you can swim, kayak or keep your boat safely tied up to be enjoyed day after day. Two kayaks will be waiting exclusively for you during your stay! This 2500 sq ft sanctuary has been recently remodeled with all new floors, cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, double fireplace, windows, doors, light fixtures, exterior decking/stairs, paint and furnishings! You will enjoy a cozy modern rustic aesthetic surrounded by the cool, freshly oxygenated air of the mountains...a truly healthy vacation. Enjoy rain showers and stay dry on the large covered deck. By night, enjoy the sunset and light a fire in the fire pit, roast marshmallows or enjoy a glass of wine on the expansive back deck. Then retire inside to the fireplace and all of the cozy, cuddly spaces Caribou Cabin has to offer.
Caribou Cabin's main level features the open living room with vaulted ceiling, dining area, open kitchen, spacious laundry room, sizable master bedroom with plush king sized bed, private master bath and walk-in closet, large 2nd bedroom with comfy queen bed, large 2nd full bath and the extensive deck which will seat a large family for meals. The downstairs suite features a large studio type apartment with sitting area, Franklin stove, small kitchen, comfy queen size bed, small built in baby crib, full bathroom with an oversized soaking tub/shower, and finally, an outdoor, weather-protected seating area with its own private door and private outdoor stairway which can be used exclusively for lower suite guests. Both levels are accessible to each other from an interior stairway as well. The entire house sleeps 6 people comfortably, with an additional bed for a baby or small child. A queen sized inflatable mattress is also available when needed for up to 2 more people.

We are always available to talk with guests. Guests check themselves in, no owner contact necessary. Owners will only interact if guests would like. We love to interact but only if the guest desires that.
You will be a short drive from town and endless outdoor excursions waiting to be explored by you and your family! Directions to many of the local waterfalls (my favorite), zip lining adventures, tubing, fishing, hiking, etc., will be provided to you, as our guests, along with many other options. We only recommend the best of the best for you to experience. And if you are interested in exploring local towns, trying out the local eateries and shopping, antiquing, or enjoying our Friday night Groovin' on the Green outdoor concerts in Cashiers, this area has it all and won't disappoint.
Our family has been summering on Lake Glenville since the early 1960s and, as a 3rd generation vacation rental manager, I can offer tons of local knowledge along with this fantastic mountainside retreat so that you and your loved ones can get the most out of your vacation!
****PLEASE NOTE**** During the peak months of June, July and August, we will be taking minimum weekly rentals, as opposed to 4, 5, and 6 night rentals. Multiple nightly rental inquires during these 3 peak months, that are less than 1 week in length will be considered if the calendar allows.
Also, if you are interested in a lakefront vacation home on Lake Glenville on 5 secluded acres with 500' of shoreline and a private dock, we also own Moore Mountain Inn, Homeaway Listing 4149368. We also own Mom's Place, Homeaway Listing 162191, for a cute, affordable lakeview cabin with a spectacular view.
There is a one time $75 dog guest fee, per dog, which I will send you a separate request for after you book. I’m sorry but cats are not allowed due to peoples allergies.
