Well appointed, cozy place to stay. The host is super responsive and helpful with all questions. The two bedrooms upstairs are beautiful and have super cozy mattresses, which is a huge factor in our ratings. The kitchen had all the appliances and supplies we needed to cook for our group. The towels were nice and the three bathrooms were appreciated. We used the sauna several times and it is wonderful!! The downstairs is perfect for a group of small kids, but would not recommend for additional adults. The fold out couch is exactly what you would expect for comfort (not great) and the bunk beds have weight limits that our college-age children exceeded, so the number of beds actually available for our party fell short. Nice place, not luxury, but beautiful location and affordable for the space you get.

The layout of the cabin is very nice and for the most part was very clean. The only downside we had was the volume of steps leading down to the lake; definitely not for the weak at heart. Would stay here again.

The cabin was exactly as pictured. Clean, ready to go. As a heads up, you do share the stairs down to the docks with the twin cabin that is next to you. Not a big deal for us at all. We were able to pull our boat up to the dock (launch is on Gunlock lake and you have a little, shallow, channel you'll need to go through to get to Shishebogama), which was super nice..

An incredible gem in the North Woods! We spent two picture perfect days on the lakes. The host, Mike, truely has thought of and provided everything needed for a fantastic stay with all the comforts of home. This time it was just my wife and I but we are really looking forward to bringing our family back for an extended stay in the future! We highly recommend this property ! Thinks again Mike!!

Beautiful lake cabin spot. We just wanted to get away for the weekend and it was awesome. Able to run into town quick as well! Great accommodations and Michael was phenomenal to communicate with. Will go back!

4 day stay at cottage

Kitchen with island and living room are open and spacious and plenty of room for everyone ! Bathtub off of master bedroom was slick and no handle bars to hang on for getting in and out of tub. Outside behind the open pit fireplace is steep down to the lake and has no steps and very slick when it rains or wet ! Enjoyed the stay very much and will come back to this place !!!

Another Fantastic Cross Country Ski Weekend

The house was perfect for two families of four on our annual ski trip. Minocqua Winter Park was an easy 10 minute drive. The house had communal space for everyone and separate spaces for the kids and grownups to have their own time. The sauna was great after long ski days and the foosball table got some use. We would happily stay here again.

Overall, our weekend up north was wonderful! Our group stayed at Back Bay Cabins for a bachelorette weekend. The only hiccup was that the check in time that I received through Vrbo was one hour before the actual check in, so I had to kill some time when I got to Minocqua. Peaceful and lovely

Excellent property just outside Minocqua. Quiet, spacious and we enjoyed using the kayaks. 2 min from a nice bar & grill, 10 min from town. Property was very clean and had everything we needed. Would stay again without hesitation.

On the lake

We were very happy with our rental. It was exactly as photos online. Very clean and a great place to stay. Only minus was walking down to the lake for people over 70. However, it was rainy and not an issue. Fun!

Quiet lakeside retreat

Nice space. With 4 adults having 3 br and 3 baths let everyone have some privacy. Beautiful views of the lake from the house. Good parking. Wish we'd had more time to enjoy it more.

Recently acquired property as of 1/7/20. Just finished a 6 month complete remodel to both properties that sit side by side. Everything in each cabin is brand new. Every ammenity you could think of comes inside. Beautiful views, quiet setting, clear fresh water lake with great fishing....plenty to do on a great relaxing vacation! Open year round. Great for snowmobiling, ice fishing, skiing, hunting etc.
