Insane
The condo itself is beautiful. Experience. Awful. We checked in (luckily I figured out the condo number as it was never provided and the owner would not answer her phone and text messages took hours to get a response to) and the previous guest’s property, vehicle, and cat were still in the condo. We weren’t able to check in until a week after check in date and the condo still wasn’t cleaned. The previous guest showed up eventually to get his stuff. Owner of condo said she would leave the check out date open ended for us due to my grandmother going through cancer treatment and we didn’t know her last appointment date yet. Well the owner told us the night before she had double booked the condo and said we had to get out. She was able to push the new guests day out by one day so luckily we had time to pack and get my supremely sick grandmother, and thank god my parents showed up that night and they were able to help me. Even though we were told the new guest would be a day later, he still showed up and walked into the condo with no notice and us still in there and demanded to know what time we were leaving. The owner did reimburse a small portion of the amount we paid due to losing the first week we paid for, however this was the absolute worst experience for both my grandmother and myself. There was no accountability on the owner of the condos part or on vrbos part. I was just stuck with some dudes property and his cat and then we were shoved out with no notice. Absolutely insane. There are no words for how we were treated before, during, and after. I tried to keep the owner of the condo updated throughout this miserable experience but she just didn’t seem to care at all how this affected her guests. We also checked in with dirty linen, cat fur, pee on the floor, poop in the tub. Just seriously awful. Property is stunning. Experience for the amount I paid was not worth it. I had to clean the place before we could go to bed.
