There is nothing more peaceful than the sound of birdsong gently floating on the breeze, interrupted by nothing. No noisy neighbours, no barking dogs, no sirens, no rowdy youngsters, just serenity all around. The amazing caves at Tantanoola and around the area are wonderful to explore, as is the spectacular Umpherston Sinkhole. The famous Blue Lake in Mount Gambier is amazing and be sure not to miss the Coonawarra wine region as well. There is as much, or as little, to do as you would like.
