Spacious, with Difficult Communication & Poor Maintenance

We had three generations of family and the house accommodated us quite well. Shopping for everything is close and the neighborhood is up-scale and quiet. Lots of nice outside features, e.g., bar-b-q, fish pond, fire pit, deck, etc., although they are somewhat neglected. Plenty of outside driveway parking. We enjoyed the air hockey and ping pong table. Communication with owner and VRBO seemed to be only in the middle of the night. Are they overseas? Very untrusting, all communication through VRBO website, no phone contact or entry info provided. Very guarded and arm's length process. Local rep showed up and gave us some info and the keys. Fortunately, I had found the address on Google Street View. Don't expect a courtesy early check-in. It had been empty for several days, but they charged $250 for a six-hour-early check-in. House is quite nice with large rooms. Kitchen was fairly well equipped. Obviously, this used to be a well-cared-for house with nice features. Many furnishings are what I call VRBO-disposable, e.g., cheap table lamps with low-watt bulbs, tube bar stools unstable with screws missing, iron platform beds with low-quality bedding, sparse bedroom furnishings, etc. Maybe thievery leaves no choice, too bad.

Great location....lots of room

This house was perfect for our needs. There was plenty of room so we weren't on top of each other. The kids especially enjoyed the ping pong and air hockey! We were lucky enough to have great weather for late November so we could enjoy the huge deck and backyard. The location was great. Conveniently located for shopping, food, coffee and an easy commute to Port Chester fir our events at tge Capitol Theatre. I would highly recommend staying here!!!

Nice Property, Needed Some TLC

Great location, convenient to downtown Stamford, shoreline, roads/transportation to NYC. House has good bones, structurally sound, living areas upstairs in reasonable shape. A long-term rental had just ended and, upon arrival, the house was not fully equipped. The property manager responded very quickly to address this issue; the property is now equipped for short-term rental. There are some additional non-critical repairs and cleaning needed - due to the prior tenant - the owner seemed committed to making these improvements. Four roomy bedrooms, three equipped with TVs and streaming, as is the living room. Spacious kitchen with slider to large deck, nice back yard and grounds. Was a good spot for our family vacation.
