Das Cottage auf Shurley

Das Hotel liegt im Herzen von Rock Hill. Wir befinden uns in der Nähe der Winthrop University, der Innenstadt von Rock Hill, des Rock Hill Sports Complex, des Giordana Velodrome, der Manchester Meadows, 16 km von Fort Mill und 32 km von Charlotte entfernt. Unser Ferienhaus verfügt über 1 Queensize-Bett, 1 Bad nach Hause mit zusätzlichem Platz für eine Queensize-Luftmatratze. Great place.

Great place for our stays in rock hill. We come to visit our kids and granddaughter and we are very pleased with the location. Everything was clean and furniture was newish. It is close to the hospital and grocery stores.

Nice gem in Rock Hill

Everything was exactly as described (we like that) and our dogs loved it. Close to downtown but not too close. We have a habit of rating our stays based on the quality of the shower pressure and hot water. This one will not disappoint. Thanks for a great stay.

Great Cottage in a great location

We were in town for a 4 day event at the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center. My son and I stayed at the cottage and it was everything we wanted/needed. It was extremely clean and the furniture was comfortable. Its location was perfect for the event (5 min away) and had several restaurants/grocery stores within a short drive. We stayed at a rental instead of a hotel to allow us to cook /eat in and everything we needed to do that was provided. We could not have picked a bette place to stay for what we wanted.

The rating said exceptional but that is a stretch. It wasn't great but it was comfortable and clean. The outside property is not appealing at all we were to wash dishes but no dishwasher, which we could work with but also no dish clothes to wash them with. We went to a Dollar General and bought them. On a positive note, we had friends we were visiting that was in a wheelchair. He was able to get into the property to visit with a 0 entrance into the house. That was the best part.

For granddaughters wedding

We book this lovely little cottage for 4 nights while we were there for our granddaughters wedding. It was perfect for just the two of us. I had to do some baking while I was there and the kitchen was perfect for that. The house was well stocked with amenities and it was clean and comfy. I had to use the washer and dryer a few times and it was so handy to have it there. We loved our stay!

Nice Cottage

This little cottage exactly fit our needs. All of the little extras were greatly appreciated from the coffee filters to the little sweets left out for us. Owners paid alot of attention to the small details which made our week stay very enjoyable. I loved the lights under the cabinets in the kitchen! The addition of a small dresser in the bedroom would complete the house. Thanks!

Beautiful, Needs Cleaning

Pro: Beautiful on first look: Decorated nicely, surfaces and furniture were clean, nice laundry machines, quiet neighborhood, no roaches, bathroom stocked with soap, shampoo & conditioner, some shelf stable food and snacks perfect for arriving after long travel, "check in" was super simple and managers made themselves available by text if needed in the automatic arrival message Con: Attention to detail: AC units were all visibly moldy inside, place smelled faintly like pee/ammonia, floors felt slimy, tiny dead bugs in the cotton balls in the bathroom, no can opener for the canned food left for guests Summary: Great setup and location, with deeper cleaning the place is an easy 4 or 4.5/5

Great place to stay!

My girlfriend and recently stayed at the Cottage. It is was great place. It is a lot bigger than the make it seem. It is a great location in Rock Hill. There are ton of places eat and shop right around it. The check in process was simple. The owners were great to deal with and were very pleasant. Great stay all around!

Sabbatical

Rented the property to stay in while daughter attended Winthrop’s band clinic. Property was located in a nearby neighborhood, literally walking distance away. Anything from food to shopping was minutes away whether walking or a few minutes drive. Never meet the owners but could feel their presence throughout the entire stay via text messages from the start of the stay until checkout.

Accurate Description, But Not as Expected

I was looking for the a place to stay for a personal writing retreat, and this sounded like a great fit. It is supplied with all the amenities listed, and the owners were very responsive. I really appreciated how kind and available they were with my questions/concerns! However, future renters should be aware that there is no central heating and air conditioning. The A/C is via window units and the heat is provided with a gas wall furnace in the dining area and a space heater in the bedroom. Messing with having to relight the furnace and adjust the space heater frequently, and the noise of the space heater coming on and shutting down through the night, was an unwelcome disturbance through my trip. Also, I agree with others who have mentioned a small dresser, or even table, to set things down on in the bedroom would be nice. Overall, it was still a preferable stay to a budget hotel. The property was clean, updated, beautifully decorated, private, and well located, so I have no complaints there. I guess I've learned to ask about what kind of heat and A/C I should expect for future stays at other properties. As the owners do have other properties in the area, I will be happy to recommend them and stay at them myself in the future.

Great Location

This is the owners second property I've stayed at in the last 2 months and it's as nice as the first one, clean and welcoming. Everything you need for a short or long stay is here, their properties are clean, comfortable and very relaxing, the garden across the street is a great place to walk and wander. Tom and Sara have been great hosts and I will certainly recommend any of their properties to freinds and family.
