We throughly enjoyed this house, the location was amazing. Beautiful view of the ocean, sun rise and sunset. layout of the house really worked for the 15 of us, room to be together and room for quiet, when needed. Kitchen was nicely stocked with cooking pots and pans, dishes, glassware, utensils and a variety of spices.The host is very responsive. Highly recommend for larger groups.

This was our second stay at The Pioneer on York Beach, and our family had another wonderful week. This property provides two large spaces for our family to be together for group activities and adequate bedrooms for all of us. The game room has been a great space after long days on the beach and the occasional rainy day. The location allows us to take in a variety of activities within walking distance to Short Sands and downtown York Beach. There are nightly concerts in Ellis Park Thursday-Sunday. This year they held the annual Nubble Lighthouse Swim race while we were there, and we were able to watch the finish of the race on Short Sands. Another great family beach week in the books.

This gem is one of a kind. The location literally is the best, situated across from Short Sands. And I do mean directly across and super close to a beach access ramp. Sitting on the deck, I can see my family on the beach. The house has a fantastic number of bedrooms accommodating my family with a wide age range of “kids” (4, 14, and 24) who do not want to share rooms. This was our second year here and we can’t wait to come back next year.

What an amazing property! We had several families spanning 4 generations at this beautiful ocean-front property for an annual reunion week-long vacation trip. This house was perfect, with plenty of amenities and a floor plan designed with guests in mind. Location is unbeatable, and the home had plenty of parking with a game room bonus garage! Wonderful hosts were responsive and easy to deal with the entire process. Already missing sunrise coffee on the porch! Till next year…

Beautiful home. Can’t say enough about the location and cleanliness of this house. We went off season early May so can’t say it was busy but love the beach views and open large first floor for hanging out and having meals with friends. Pretty much everything you need is there.

Our family rented this home to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday, and it was everything we hoped for! We had family come from VA, FL, NV, and AZ. It was everyone's first time in Maine, and we felt like we were in a Hallmark movie. The house was very clean and in a perfect location. The local shops were charming. We loved the ocean views from the patio, and walking along the beach! Communication with the host was easy and responsive. I would definitely rent from them again. Highly recommend!!!

I really cannot say enough great things about this booking! The house is incredible! Immaculate. Stocked with absolutely everything you would need. And looks exactly like the picturesbeautiful large kitchen and dining table, and comfortable, cozy living room as well as a convenient laundry area on the first floor. Beds were all comfortable, and bathrooms were conveniently located. We also enjoyed a lot of friendly competition in the game room.As for the location, it just can't be beat! Overlooking the beach, just a stone's throw away, it provided a quick and easy access to the sand, sun, and blue water as well as to all the shops and restaurants in town. Fireworks overhead greeted us Sunday night, and music from the pavilion provided an enjoyable background to the amazing sunset. Probably our favorite "hangouts" were the porch and the Adirondack chairs on the front lawn. Both provided a scenic view and a week's worth of sun-bathing, card games, conversation, and laughter! All of which we hope to enjoy again next year!
