Dieses Chalet verfügt über 3 geräumige Wohnbereiche, die jeweils mit einem Großbild-TV und einem DVD-Player ausgestattet sind. Sie können die Kinder auf einer Ebene aufstellen und sich auf eine andere zurückziehen. Jedes der 5 Schlafzimmer blickt auf den Wald und bietet einen unglaublichen Blick auf die lokale Tierwelt.

In der unteren Etage befinden sich eine Tischtennisplatte und eine Airhockey-Tischplatte sowie ein Wohnzimmer mit einem Gaskamin, einem 42-Zoll-Plasma-TV, einem Blu-Ray-Player und einem Ausziehsofa. Es verfügt über 2 Schlafzimmer, jedes mit einer Queensize-Memory-Foam-Matratze. Und natürlich ein komplettes Badezimmer.

Die Hauptebene verfügt über ein Wohnzimmer mit einem Gaskamin, einem 50-Zoll-Plasma-TV und einem Blu-ray-Player mit kostenlosem Netflix-Empfang sowie über die On-Demand-Ausleihe von Premium-Filmen über VuDu. Das Sofa und der Liebessitz lassen sich beide zurücklehnen und sind so bequem, dass Sie vielleicht genau dort schlafen möchten. Auf der Hauptebene befinden sich auch das Esszimmer, die Küche, ein Vollbad, eine Waschküche mit Waschmaschine und Trockner, das Hauptschlafzimmer und ein separater Make-up-Waschtisch.

Fabulous family weekend

This home was the perfect choice for our family ski weekend. We were a group of 12 comprised of adults, teens and children and the house had more than enough space for us. It was very clean and well stocked with clean linens. The layout is great for a large group and we especially liked being able to all sit around the large dining table for family meals. The house is minutes from the ski area which made for easy back and forth. I highly recommend this vacation home.

Place set the standard for cleanliness! Well inventoried for a large group. Very responsive property manager. Beautiful area for relaxation. The deer will take a carrot from hand! Two gas grills help cooking for a large group!

Family reunion

Six siblings and spouses gather each year and finding a place with lots of beds and bathrooms is our challenge. This place had just what we needed- beds, bathrooms, huge dining room table, well equipped kitchen with plenty of dishes. Three gathering areas on three floors, and two gathering areas outside. It was just what we needed. Minor issue with the front door code and locking, but the manager was very responsive and helpful.

Family Vacay

Rocky Road Chalet was perfect for our extended family vacation. We were 6 adults and 2 children with more than enough room to spread out. Especially loved the huge dining room table that allowed for family meals all together. With the upstairs lift and downstairs game room, there was plenty of space to enjoy. All rooms were spacious and well appointed. My two suggestions would be to place both picnic tables on one deck so large groups could eat outside together and definitely a bigger refrigerator would have been very helpful. We had a wonderful time at both beach and pool and will be back again in the future!

Very well equipped and fun space

We were supposed to be six adults with three children but one of the grandkids got sick so they didn’t make it. Even if they had been with us the house would have been a fun and roomy accommodation. Ping pong and air hockey are always enjoyable. Kitchen was well equipped! Very comfortable. It was a 43 minute drive and too far away from our wedding site in Milford but I should have asked more questions.

Weekend Retreat

The house is new and in immaculate condition. Everything in the description is accurate and pictures don't do it justice. We had a semi large group of friends stay over and were all pleased by the amount of amenities that both the house and the community had to offer. The property was clean, neat and provided us with ample opportunity to enjoy our stay. The only possible downside is the drive from NYC as you have to take local roads for part of the trip. But, in my opinion, it was worth it. Would like to come back again some time.

We had two families together for a ski weekend. We had a great time. The house was perfect. Exactly like the description and the pictures. We had 11 adults and 2 children and we had plenty of room. We brought some of our own games but there is a closet FULL of games. We had a great time. Thank you for providing Deer food. Peaceful and quiet

Our family of 8 adults and 9 children (ages 11-9 months) were very comfortable in this lovely house in the woods. The children had a great time playing on the rocks in the yard. The children loved seeing the deer in the yard and named all of them. We enjoyed both the pool and the lake. Nearby Fort Delaware was a great place to visit. We also had some great hikes at the Minisink Battlefield, the towpath and bridge area, and the Zane Grey property in Lackawaxen. Lots of good hiking nearby. Our only complaint is that the people at the office where we got our passes were not very friendly or welcoming.

Holiday getaway

Ten of us came from NJ and MD and had a fabulous time. We do not ski so the warmer temps didn't disappoint! It was cold enough for some to go tubing and others to hike beautiful trails.The home is incredibly clean. Kudos to that staff! Overstocked kitchen is an understatement. You will want for nothing. Just bring your food!The beds were all comfy and there was a plethora of blankets and pillows. While the space suited our family perfectly, we would have had an issue had my other two family members would have come (but sadly had to cancel). It's not easy sleeping everyone without using a pullout which none of us really wanted. So for us, it was perfect for 0ur crew.Cindy was great in responding and we thank her for that. If there was any downside, the septic alarm would go off almost every time someone showers. That should not happen. Hopefully the owner will fix for the next guests.All in all, for us it was a 10!! Thank you!

Fantastic house with lots of games

I will list of out all the positives we thought was good, - We were given code to enter the house in advance. So no need to wait for key or anything. - The day we traveled (in February), it was snowy and crazy cold/chilly outside, but when we entered the house first time it was PRE WARM. The heater was ON and we were extremely delighted that we don't have to wait in he house in jackets to be warm. - The house was neat and clean with beautiful hangings and decorative pieces. - The best part of house was the loft on top floor & game room in the bottom. Really glad we chose this house. - We were 13 adults + 3 children (2 toddler and 1 infant). Everyone had great time, kids enjoyed and adults enjoyed too. - There were 4-5 TVs in almost each room/floor. Main floor TV had chromecast as well. - The only thing that was missing from instructions was - Wifi password, but i just called owner and he gave password of Wifi over the phone. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and surely will consider again to stay here sometime in summer.

Amazing Family Christmas Vacation!

We had a wonderful time at the Rocky Road House! It was extremely clean and super spacious for our family of 14 (8 adults ranging from 76 to 18, and 6 kids from 17 to 9). The game room and the downstairs living room was where the younger kids spent most of their time, and the adults had the large main living room. The loft was huge and was a great place for the teenage girls to sleep and have their own space. There was plenty of comfortable beds for everyone. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed; pots, pans, bowls, dishes, utensils, soap, etc. The dining table was large enough for all. The plus for the kids (and adults) were the deer coming up to our deck for food, which provided at the house. At one point we counted 18 deer patiently waiting to eat. Big Bear for skiing and tubing was about 5+ minutes away, with a restaurant and a small food court. It was very convenient if someone wanted to come back to the house and go skiing later. We had a glitch on not using the electronic lock correctly, but Cindi answered right away and we were able to get into the house. There is a small marketplace at Big Bear for essentials; milk, bread, eggs, cold cuts, etc, some groceries. The supermarket is about 25 minutes away , a pleasant drive in the mountains. It was a wonderful family vacation, and would highly recommend staying at the Rocky Road House. The owner and Cindi has seen to all the details that a family would need to have a comfortable and terrific time!

AMAZING V_CAY

Rocky Road was a wonderful house to stay in for our family vacation. We were a family of 11 including children ages 5-18. The house was so clean, spacious and had so much living space. It was perfect in every way. The downstairs had a huge ping pong table, air hockey, 2 bedrooms and a pull out sofa as well, and a full bath. The main level had the kitchen island with seating for 4 and a huge dining room table that seats 14 people, and a big living room with lots of seating as well. A bedroom and a bathroom, with a laundry room next to it. The deck was newly built, with a grill and picnic table right off the dining room. Upstairs was the loft area. With a huge room, several couches, a futon to sleep and a video game system in the loft and the bedroom. It also has a foosball game in the loft and in the living room. The loft also has 2 bedrooms with a bathroom. The front yard has a big porch with chairs and a picnic table. A fire pit is in the front year and the deer will visit every day. The house has a closet full of children's board games. The amenities in the community are wonderful!!! The 2 pools are very big and one has water slides and a diving board. Mini golf is also near the pool area. The lake has paddle boats and kayaks, a playground is near the pool and also at the lake. Basketball, tennis courts and paddle ball courts are also available. For all these amenities you can buy passes on a daily basis. These amenities were wonderful and we all enjoyed it so very much!!! All this was located within a 5 minute drive from the house. I highly recommend this house!!! It was WONDERFUL and our grandchildren and children had a great time!!!!

Wonderful Family Vacation

This was our first time renting a vacation house and it was wonderful! The house is just as pictured-so clean, lots of separate sleeping and socializing spaces inside, and a great front porch and back deck. The daily visits from the local deer were an added bonus. A short drive to the pool and the lake. We especially loved spending time at the lake for swimming, fishing and kayaking. The pool area was spotless and extra fun with the slides and new pool area. We highly recommend this house and community.
