Thank you so much for your lovely review Nash. It's so good when 'Bohemian Beach Bliss' is appreciated for it's different style of interior decorating to most other accommodation. I think it is as described in it's title. You and your friends were a delight to chat with and you left the place so clean and tidy- thank you -much appreciated! I do hope you come again!

Yes unfortunately the booking did not appear on my web site, however thankyou for your review. Once again I urge people to read the blurb and look at the accommodation's photos before booking so they won't be disappointed that this is not a modern, ikea furnished, cliche holiday space. A place with beige, white and blue curtains and cushions, posters stating the obvious eg "look and see the sea", with plastic or fake marble bench tops and minimal amount of towls. Such places often have strict non negotiable late arrival and early departure times and a sterile, boring atmosphere, few extra amenities and basically feel cramped and cheap even though they are more expensive. As stated in the introduction blurb my places were buit in the 60's and retain features and furniture etc from this time period as well as the 70s and 80s. It is scrupuously clean, safe and very comfortable. It is as described by the words "bohemian" and "retro" which appear in the titles of the two separate places which independently are on one large property. So PLEASE do not book if you don't want something different, fun, magical and nostagic. A contemporary expensive up market hotel would probably better suited to your requirements.

This person is obviously very ignorant when it comes to visual arts . There is no blasfemous art in this apartment. When I asked to see the "used needle" that he said he found (within 2 minutes of arriving) he said that he had thrown it away but couldn't tell me where! If true this would be a dangerous and criminal act on his part. They helped themselves to more towels etc from a locked private cupboard when they had been supplied with more than enough. The booking was for 1 night with 2 guests. I counted five peple and they stayed for three nights. They left the place filthy. A very bad experience for myself and my cleaner.

I think you may have booked another place as Bohemian Beach Bliss was booked for 6 months June to December 22 so it was not possible for you to book accommodation there. I'm sorry It must have been a bad experience for you.

It makes me very sad when a person uses invalid reasons to cancel their booked accommodation because they have changed their plans well after their arrival time, and then expect a full refund. I will respond to what I believe are invalid reasons for wanting a refund, which was also after their booked arrival date. This is the 1st time in 5 years of hosting in my accommodation business with variety of organisations that I decided not to give a refund. In response to the guests complaints: 1. The property was clean. The accommodation was professionally cleaned the day of the guests arrival using stringent, international post-covid standards of cleanliness and hygiene. 2. The house is safe. The upstairs verandah which is off the main bedroom has a safe, secure balcony fence. There is no accessible public balcony that leads onto the roof nor is there an unfenced balcony. There is a sliding window which is always locked except when when the solar panels and guttering leading to downstairs tanks are cleaned 3 to 4 times a year. The grounds person advised me these were locked and on checking he was correct. 3. There is no musty smell. The property is situated 5 houses from the beach so when the 2 main front doors and front windows are opened (which they were on this guest's arrival) a sea breeze flows through all rooms. There is also an air-conditioner that cools and warms the whole house if required. 4. There is no rubbish in any of the kitchen cupboards. One cupboard labelled "Supplies", has supplies of new packaged sponges, dish washing brushes, soaps, tooth brushes etc for supplying the kitchen and bathroom between guests. There is also another hall cupboard containing clean, folded linen and towels. 5. After the guest complained the pool was dirty I scooped out less than 50 leaves that had fallen that day. Adelaide autums can be windy and the pool is surrounded by garden. The pool has a creepy crawley (automatic pool cleaner) which is on constantly. 6. I never found a screw on any of the three beds and concluded that perhaps the guest was being fecetious. 6. I responded immediately to all concerns. I happened to be on the property when the guest was doing her "inspection" and so was able to respond to every question and request immediately. I was back at the property taking out the bins ready for early morning council pickup when just by chance I saw the guest taking a suitcase to her car which was parked out of normal view. The guest saw me however looked away so I approached and asked if everything was OK. She said there was no dryer and the pool was dirty. I responded saying I had taken out the leaves from the pool that had given concern and there was a dryer on the property ( I had already told her this). The guest then drove off with her family. A few days later I received an email asking for a refund. I invited other accommodation hosts from the area over for assistance in making a fair response to this guest's complaints and demand for refund. The unanimous decision was "definitely no refund". This decision was made after they inspected the house and also was inline with accommodation policy on refunds with several organisations. To assist in this unfortunate experience not occurring I urge all future guest to read the refund guidelines and if unsure about staying at a property to check the accommodation beforehand if possible. I'm very open to showing people around my two places before their booking and if that's not an option I can take them on a tour via messenger or what's ap. Facetime video.
