Cozy cottage

Best part of the house is the spacious kitchen where the adults spent most of the time. Kids love the bunk room. The house was cozy with tasteful decos.

Wonderful

This property is very clean and tastefully decorated. Plenty of plates cups and cooking utensils etc in the kitchen. You can't see from the photos but the open fire place is double sided and you can see it in the lounge room. The tv is probably a little big for the room but none the less spectacular. I have never seen Jane Bunns head that big before. Close to the main street in Healesville with supermarkets and gourmet food shops. No traffic noise very quiet. Well worth it

We expected more...

The house does provide a comfortable country feel however some items were not in working order during our visit and basic items such as a dish cloth was not provided in the kitchen. The 4th bedroom bunk and sofa bed set up is less than ideal for 4 people. We expected more for this price.

Friends winter getaway

We planned a winter getaway for 5 girls in the Yarra Valley wine region. Accommodation is in a nice quiet street a short walk to the Main Street and cafes. House was nice overall. Very cosy with a lovely fireplace and relaxing sofas (loads of cushions!). Lots of amenities - owner kindly provided milk, eggs and bread which was nice! We did have a few issues which unfortunately brought down the rating. There was a bad stale tank water/sewage smell from the laundry which permeated to the kitchen and pantry all weekend. Owner suggested to run the washing machine but it didn’t help. No internet so had to hotspot off our phones including to use the tv. O contacted the owner who said had changed provider but not alerted us to this or provided details. This is not a 4 bedroom house- 3 lovely bedrooms (1 gorgeous en suite) but the ‘4th’ has no door just a shutter screen to move in place and is really only suitable for children with small bunks and sofa bed. Lastly, owner sent an odd message the night before we arrived to ensure we had no additional guests as he would be checking the outdoor security cameras to confirm numbers- not very welcoming or trusting as I’m sure the majority of guests do the right thing. Overall it was a nice place to stay but more suitable for families than a friends getaway.

Not quite sure what the guests did re the smellbin the bathroom. There has been no issues with the laundry bathroom since their stay. WIfi provider is Foxtel and is working well.

Malley House

This property puts quantity ahead of quality. Not as amazing as it appears in the listing. Showers not clean, tired furnishings, etc. Heating was not adequate for Healesville in the winter; it took a long time for us to get warm. Best features of the this house are the enormous television and the large number of beds available.

Beautiful clean house with all necessary things in place.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants an Acco in Healsville to stay here! I will definitely comeback.

Lovely property close to town

Beautiful property walking distance to cafes, parks, wineries, bars, coles and restaurants. Would love to go back next time we are in the Yarra Valley.

Excellent - would stay again!

Paul was a wonderful host so attentive and the house was immaculate. Paul ensured we had all the breakfast essentials and the house equipped with everything to make our stay comfortable. Great location and very comfortable! Would stay again!

As big as it is impressive!!

Paul and Rita’s home was simply a great stay. Spacious, comfortable and luxurious. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Location should also be noted as great, close to everything. Despite some issues (caused on our end) with the booking, Paul was overly accommodating and readily available to assist.

Exceeded expectations

We had a great stay and were surprised at the extra lengths the owners had gone to including bread, milk and eggs already provided. It’s a great property in a good location and is very comfortable. We’d recommend highly.
