First of all I suggest that what you post is actually the truth. There is no mention of the house being 2 minutes from the lake. Secondly, you stayed at the property for three days, never contacted me about any of the issues you mentioned but decided to do that after your departure when none of this could be rebutted anymore. I always send house rules that include the request to contact me immediately if there are issues regarding cleanliness or anything broken or missing. We would try to solve those issues right away. Thirdly, there are no roaches nor bugs in the property and our beds are stripped every time guests leave and washed. I guarantee that and no hair could be in the beds. We are out in the country and I cannot deny that a mouse might have gotten in. We check for that regularly also. Had we known about it we would have done all we could to take care of that issue. Possibly even move you. You are publishing wrongful information about our property and I therefore can only advise other hosts to determine if they really want to go through the same we just went through by renting to you.

Hi John, I am sorry you are unhappy with your stay. As per our house rules, we request that our guests contact us right away if something is not in order or not as expected. You did not report any of this. We would have sent someone to at least take care of the locks. Coffee filters were provided, you might have overlooked them. Unfortunately, I cannot do anything regarding your taste in furniture. If you had contacted me, I might have been able to provide a different cabin to you. There are no leash laws in our area and we unfortunately cannot control any dogs that might roam in the area. Again, if you had contacted us, we would have been able to chase them away or possibly even found the owners. I am sorry you were not happy with the cabin. With communication we might have been able to turn your stay into a more satisfactory one.

I can't agree with the accuracy of this review. First off, we never received a call. I received one message asking how to get in. VRBO was having some glitches and for whatever reason did not send out the message I had sent with the welcome information. It just sat in my outbox. As soon as I received your message I checked my outbox and resent it. Although, it may have been raining the entire front porch is covered. You're not standing in rain. Also, I highly doubt you found a wrapped sanitary napkin and candy on the floor. If you had why did you not report it? In the house rules we state that if anything is out of order or if there is an issue you immediately report it so we can fix the issue. I know our cleaning girl moves all the furniture to clean underneath it. Aside from the "What is the door code to get in?" Message I did not receive one message from you. I am sorry you had such a terrible time at the cabin, but had you voiced your complaints during your stayI could have had someone out to look at the issues.

Hi, I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. However one of the issues you mentioned is not correct. Nowhere do we list that the cabin is 2 minutes from the lake. Furthermore I request from everyone that stays at the property to contact me right away if something is not acceptable, e.g. cleanliness, items broken or supplies missing. I did not hear from you at all during your stay and therefore did not have the opportunity to clarify or send someone out regarding the porch. I do apologize for the inonvenience but most of this could have been avoided had you contacted me as I request in my welcome letter.
