Über dieses Objekt

Situated on the edge of Zone 1, close to two tube stations and with frequent buses to Waterloo, Westminster and beyond, it is the perfect base for a vacation exploring London. Both tube stations are a 10-minute walk away, or take the bus and be at Tate Britain, Big Ben, or Westminster Abbey in 10-15 minutes!

The house is situated in a safe, quiet, residential street and with space to spread out and relax (a scarce commodity in most London holiday apartments) it is perfect for families, couples, or larger groups. On quiet nights you can even hear Big Ben strike and the River Thames is just a short walk away. The new American Embassy is being built nearby, very close to the impressive MI6 building.

Please note that this is a traditional British semi-detatched house, not an apartment. You occupy the whole house, so no noisy neighbours above, or below!

There is both a large supermarket

and a smaller express supermarket 5-minutes away, plus cafés, delis and restaurants, all within easy reach. There is also a gym nearby to work off the the calories.

The property has just been totally refurbished and is supplied with everything you'll need to make your stay stress free and comfortable and cut down on your luggage. There is a small, but fully loaded kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and fridge/freezer. Upstairs, are two large bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed and remote controlled ceiling fans, a smaller bedroom with full sized bunk bed and a family bathroom with bath tub and power shower. Downstairs there is a shower room, a lounge with double sofa bed, ceiling fan and flat screen TV and a dining room (seats 8) leading out to a patio garden. A baby cot and fold out child's bed can also be supplied on request. The house is centrally heated and double

glazed. Linens, towels, bathrobes and 2 hair driers are supplied. The house sleeps 8 to 10 (8 in beds/sofabed, plus we can provide an extra fold out bed and cot)

For relaxing at night, a selection of DVDs, CDs and Xbox 360 games are available (please ask, as we like to offer age appropriate films and games), as well as books and games. Free Wi-Fi is available. Also supplied are two pay-as-you-go phones which you can top-up and use during your stay. Some basic food stuffs to get you started are included, such as tea, coffee (instant, decaff and filter), milk, bread, eggs, butter, cooking oil, olive oil and condiments. If you would like us to have your own shopping ready for you when you arrive we can arrange that for a small fee of £10, or you can order it online and have it delivered and we will put perishables in the fridge. If you have any special requirements, please let us know and

we will do our best.

Check in is 3 p.m. Check out is 10 a.m.

If you are arriving early, we can look after your luggage until check in time, so you can fit in some sightseeing. We try to be as flexible as possible with arrival and departure times.

There is a total no smoking policy in the house, but guests may smoke in the garden.

Daily parking permits can be arranged, the cost is £5 per day.

Jeff and Bev’s house is adequately equiped with all the stuffs you need at a proper house, and the house enjoys an advantageous geographical position, enabling us to get to the must-to-go places in London conveniently. What's more, Jeff and Bev provided us with free use of oyster cards and said goodbye to us in person, making us feel like a family. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Exactly what we needed

This is a gem of a property. Previous reviewers have summed it up. We were a family of five: mom, dad, two grown kids and grandmom. The three bedrooms provided space for us all - our kids were happy to share the third room with bunk beds, although one could have camped in the living room. The little patio out back and french doors add light, air and a fine place for a relaxing drink in fair weather.

The house is clean, the decor is fun and Bev and Jeff have really done a great job modernizing the house in terms of bathrooms and appliances. They are amazing hosts providing local knowledge, starter food in the fridge, and oyster cards for your stay. Also - they've got about every guide book imaginable, so consider saving the weight if you were planning to bring yours along. The house is EXTREMELY convenient to city attractions, groceries and any number of restaurants. The bus stop is out front and takes you to Westminster Abby or London Eye in minutes. Great pubs near by (the Priory Arms is amazing). The neighborhood is safe. My husband and son are runners and ran each morning traversing various bridges over the Thames. The neighborhood does have a bit of grit - it is not the scrubbed, obviously monied ambience of Chelsea/Knightsbridge. This made us appreciate the neighborhood all the more - it really provides a view of wonderful, diverse, working, living London. And i repeat: Jeff and Bev are terrific hosts! We'd return to stay here in a heart beat.

Home Away from Home

Jeff and Bev were the most thoughtful owners! When we arrived, they gave us a detailed explanation about everything in the house. The fridge was already stocked with breakfast items for the next day.The house was clean and cozy. It was really a home away from home. We are a family of 9 and felt very comfortable in the house. Would definitely stay here again!!

The perfect place

In addition to being beautiful and clean, this house has all the comforts, one could wish for, when on vacation. The pictures you see are reality. The house is tastefully decorated. The kitchen is fully equipped. The beds are very comfortable. There is only positive to say. It is located in a neighborhood just a little bit away from the "fuzz and buzz" tourist. Public transit is very easy and efficient. We enjoyed having the big Sainsbury's five minutes away from home. The owners are friendly, attentive and discreet. As they live right next door, they are easy to reach if needed. Would definitely return.

Perfect!

We only just arrived back home in Sweden and are thinking back on the days in London. Jeff and Bev are perfect hosts, they fulfilled all our needs and helped us making this holiday perfect for the whole family. We are a family of six, four children between 10 and 16, and this house was absolutely marvellous! The house is very nice decorated and we just loved all the English details like cushions and pot holders. There were DVDs to watch or Xbox to play after a long day of sightseeing. All details like schampo, conditioner, oyster cards, bathrobes and the food that Jeff and Bev provided us with are only a few things. They have really thought of everything!

Thank you so much again, I hope that we will have the opportunity to come back.
