- Unsere Unterkunft im Landhausstil am Fluss mit einem Hauch von Kolonialafrika ist immer sauber und komfortabel, mit einer Mischung aus Altem und Neuem eingerichtet und schafft ein wohnliches Gefühl. Sie ist ideal für Besucher, die den Lebensstil am Fluss schätzen, ohne die Menschenmassen zu beunruhigen!
- Zielgruppe sind Gäste, die die malerische Natur und die Unterkunft selbst schätzen.

Location, grounds, owners and cabin also pet friendly all made for a relaxing wonderful stay.

The location was like being in the country but you were only minutes from Nambour. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The grounds were well kept and the accommodation delightful. We were also able to take to take our fur baby who also had a great time running free. A wonderful relaxing stay

Incredible secluded getaway

We had such a beautiful time at Riverbend Lodge! Deb was so welcoming, and the property was absolutely beautiful. Our spaniels absolutely loved running around the 4 acre property, and loved swimming in the river. It was an absolutely delightful stay in a perfect location. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Great Short break

Loved the location of this Cabin. Even though it’s on a busy road, there is little to no street noise due to the fact it’s in a fully fenced property. The hosts even had the air conditioning going for us as we were arriving on a super hot day. The enclosed courtyard was great for our dogs and I wish the weather had been cooler so that we could have taken advantage of the Fire pit. Coffee, tea, soaps and towels were all provided and the beds were very comfortable. The bagpiper playing at the riverbend was a surprise plus 😊

Great Location, Accommodation & Pet Friendly

Chosen particularly as it is Pet Friendly. Didn't disappoint good security for our pet and the best free range dog access we have ever seen. It was a huge dog run. Accommodation was fine and close to everything. Hosts were great and good options to arrive when we were incoming late. Only a little thing shower hot water could have been a little hotter - only a minor item.

A bit expensive for what it is. Very small yard with not much grass for the dog. No views from the property and no access to the river. Close to Cafe and short drive to shops. Good security for the car and accommodation.

Comfy Rustic Cabin

The cabin was exactly as described, rustic and very comfortable. We were disappointed because the write up read "Both the cottage & cabin are north facing, with a creek view from the garden". There was no view of the creek- it was hidden behind a 1.5 meter high fence with a large sign reading NO ACCESS. For us the trip was about walking our dogs, sitting and having a glass of wine viewing the creek, so this was disappointing. We did find a wonderful walk 5 minutes away at Petrie Park, the Gary Evans Walk is great. We enjoyed the complementary nice SA bottle of red wine, and chocolates. All in all a good stay.

OK but overpriced and terrible bed

The owners were nice enough and unobstrusive, the property was spacious and great to let the dogs run around. The cabin was reasonably outfitted, with the exception of the collapsing inner spring mattress, which was like sleeping on a bendy board, and 4 flat thin old pillows. There was only a bottom sheet, which was quite strange. I had back pain and very little sleep for the whole four days of my stay. The cottage, the other accommodation, was only about 3 feet away from the cabin, so the noise of 4 children in that space was enough to wake me every morning. There was however a good hot shower. The fences on the property were not dog proof and I was not advised of this- when I talked to the host's husband I got a lecture about being responsible for my dogs. It was however good to be able to have the dogs inside. There was no internet to speak of, minimal, so any kind of netflix or even reliable email was not possible. The DVD collection" was a few very old and awful movies. Generally lacking in creature comforts.

Great little get away with fam and doggo, close to beaches

We stayed in the Cabin, two adults, one child and a dog for 5 nights in early Jan. Combined kitchen, dining and living area, with 1 x queen size and 1 x single bed. Bedding and towels provided. Mattresses firm, new and super comfortable. Small dining table with 3 chairs. Small kitchen with small fridge, microwave, portable hotplates. Plenty of cutlery and crockery and a few pots and pans for cooking. Area has new Daikin split system aircon, which kept the place nice and cool. We ran the air con pretty much all the time we were inside, a bit too hot inside without it (in early Jan). Also a single ceiling fan. 2 burner, gas BBQ outside. Small outdoor patio with table and two chairs. Separate bathroom with toilet and shower, modern, clean and roomy. Back yard is grassy area, small but private. Fire pit in the back yard, which we used on 2 nights, need to provide your own fire wood, kindling and fire starters. Fully fenced. Cabin is in close proximity to another Stayz property and the main house. We got a little noise from our neighbours and their dog in the other rental, but nothing to worry about. Property is on the main road, secured behind a tall fence and automatic gate, but pretty quiet. Quite a big property, including a small dam, but access to most of it is restricted to the owners. Wifi available, but it did drop out occasionally which impacted streaming (Netflix) via the TV. 15 min drive from Mudjimba beach, dog friendly and patrolled. Less than 5 min drive into Nambour, Woolies and everything else you’d expect to find in a small town. Great communication from host Deb before and during our stay. Welcome pack included a bottle of Merlot, chocolates, and a folder including a list of dog friendly cafes and restaurants nearby. One gotcha we didn’t expect: you can’t leave your dog alone inside (outside is fine, but it was a bit hot and it’s not a big area). It was fine, we took our dog out with us, but would have been good to know this before booking. Would stay here again

We had a nice relaxing weekend and our dog Ace had a great time. A lovely fully fenced property meant he could go and run all he liked and we knew he was safe.
