Perfect location for our group. Comfortable warm home, has everything you need and plenty of parking. Great communication from host. We have stayed here many times and keep coming back!!!

Stunning holiday home perfect for family

Nice comfortable house to stay, have everything we need. The area is quiet and peaceful. Wish we stayed longer. Seeing kangaroos in front of the house is a bonus.

Wonderful!!!

Idyllic Beachside Holiday House

We absolutely loved our stay at the Red Fin. The house was clean & tidy and exactly as described on the website. It was large enough to comfortably accommodate two families. The Red Fin is perfectly located by the beach and is in close proximity to Mount Gambier and other nearby attractions.

We’d definitely stay here again!

Red Fin is very well equipped, we found everything we needed. The host was extremely helpful and I feel they went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay - they had even turned the heating on for us prior to arrival, which was much appreciated! Well located and in a quiet spot, so much to see and do nearby. Thanks for having us!

Beautiful property

Stayed early February with extended family and 3 dogs. House was well equipped with very comfortable beds. Easy walk to shops. Saw Kangaroos on two nights on reserve across from house. Highly recommend.

Everything about Red Fin was as we required. A well equipped, spacious house for us and a decent back yard for our do. Kim is a great host.

We love staying at Redfin

After last years great experience we are back at Redfin for our annual family holiday and participating in the local tuna fishing competition which we won, Redfin is fantastic for the family and great backyard and lots of parking for the big boat. Close to foreshore, walking tracks and parks. Always clean and well presented. Looking forward to our 2025 stay. Communication with owners is fast and helpful. Highly recommend there properties

Ideal for family get together’s

Plenty of room for large families or even one or more small families.Accomodation provided a well equipped kitchen with large table. Loved that we could take our dogs with us. Thank you for that. Loved the quiet location in a small town. Close to Mount Gambier for shopping. Great location for heaps of seaside trips. Fishing, walking and riding plus the beach. Loved the climb up Mt Schack a dormant Volcano and the visit to the little blue lake and big blue lakes.

Great house for a family catch up

We stayed at Red Fin for three night this weekend just gone. A comfortable house, well suited to catching up with family and their young kids. They loved the toys, DVDs and the cubby house. Just about everything we needed was provided (although a tea towel would have been appreciated). Thanks for providing the house! :) Ingrid

Hi Ingrid Thank you for taking the time to comment on Red Fin. This house is ideal for families with children and dogs as it has a really nice size enclosed backyard. My apologises for the lack of tea towels, there are normally a pile of them in the pantry cupboard but it must have been missed in the last clean. Red Fin Port Macdonnell

House was large and spacious. Property was not well maintained or clean. There was a cigarette butt in the drawer of the bedside table in one of the bedrooms (problematic as the property is meant to be smoke free) and the hostess' response when communicated was "some things get missed." The bed linen on one bed was dirty and there were mice nesting in the weber so it couold not be used eiither.

Hi Kate This property is very well maintained and clean but appreciate your feedback. I did apologise for the missed butt in a drawer in the back bedroom as we are not always perfect as we are only human and yes we do miss things at times but we do try our very best to present a very good property to guests. Our history of reviews shows this. Our bed linen is professionally laundered and we would never put dirty or stained linen on our beds. You had my mobile and could have sent me a message and this could have been fixed quite easily.
