Hawaiian Stay

We enjoyed our stay in Princeville. We wanted to cook some of our own meals and loved that the kitchen was stocked with the pans and cooking utensils we needed. Beds and bedding were great. We would stay here again!

Great island retreat

The north shore of Kauai is an amazing place to stay and this home only adds to the experience. With a family of 6, we had plenty of space and enjoyed the very clean and updated home. Matt, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this great place and will miss the rooster alarm clocks.

LOVED staying in this area

Our family of 7 loved staying in this area- great paths to run on in the morning and many great beach options. We never were able to find access to a walkable beach but with not too long of a drive we were able to have some great beach time. Super closer to Queens Bath hike and ocean view. The home was well equipped and clean. It does not have A/C so it was slightly uncomfortable getting it cool enough for sleeping, but overall it was great! Wonderful home in a great neighborhood!

Fantastic property!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The location was great for us, quiet neighborhood with easy access to several close beaches. The house itself was very comfortable and had plenty of room for the six of us (4 adults and 2 children). We had everything we needed for a great beach experience...Snorkel gear, boogy boards, towels, toys, umbrellas, beach mats. ⛱️. Would certainly consider renting again. Be sure to check out hideaway beach, best snorkeling we found!

Perfect Home Away in Princeville

We needed a home with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms and happened onto Hale Nanea. Within 15 minutes after booking the owner called and visited with me about the home, places to see, restaurants and more. We traveled the island and although Princeville is a bit of a drive to South Island sites we would not change our choice. The house is nicely done and furnished. Ceiling fans in the rooms were nice to keep things cool.. Appreciated the extras in the garage...chairs, boogie boards, cooler, etc. Overall and without hesitation I would recommend this home away for your Kauai visit. 6 days there and not a complaint. I appreciated the quick nd follow up contact from Matt (owner) and his management agency. All superior ratings in every area for me and my family.

Amazing property located in Princeville

What can I say! We took a chance on this property, cause when we booked it, it was brand new, with no reviews. I contacted Matt (owner), and he had another VRBO property that he was able to share reviews with that had amazing reviews too. So we felt pretty safe to go ahead with it and booked it all in. Matt was fantastic throughout the booking process, and always prompt with his responses and always willing to help with suggestions etc. We were lucky enough to be let into the property earlier, which was great as we had an early flight into Kauai. So loved having the early check in. The property itself is located in the residential area of Princeville, and it was really nice to have our own piece of paradise away from other tourists. It was an extremely short drive to the Princeville shops where there are restaurants and a large Foodland shopping centre to stock up on goods. But it was also close enough to Hanalei Bay, and further parts of the north. And only an hour and a half from the south. So fantastic location especially if you don't want to be trapped in Poipu. We stayed here with a group of 8 (including 2 kids) and it was fantastic! We all had our own rooms, and bathrooms per each couple / family and we didn't feel cramped. The property was brand new (or possibly renovated). It was immaculate and had everything we needed such as bath towels, beach towels, netflix, shampoo/conditioner, hair drier, coffee, spices, washing machine and dryer (such a bonus on a long trip), and lots of beach gear such as snorkel equipment, kids toys, umbrella's, chairs, etc. Seriously the owner's have put in so much to make this property as amazing as it is, and we would not hesitate to stay here again. Also the beds were super comfy. All in all - perfect stay! If this is available, don't hesitate to book it!

Great home & location (& albatross!!)

Matt was a helpful and responsive host. I knew I’d love his house when he told me about the colony of Laysan albatross that visit the neighborhood each year. Honestly, I’d have given 5 stars just for the experience of getting to see these amazing creatures every day, but the house deserved it on its own. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in the less touristy part of the North Shore. It was only a short drive to the cute town of Hanalei, where we also used the park-and-ride to catch a shuttle to hike in Haena State Park (reservations required). I also took advantage of the shared use paths near the house which offer great views of the Na Pali Coast. All in all, a perfect vacation rental!

Excellent location

We throughly enjoyed our stay in Princeville. The property was spacious and allowed for relaxation when at home and not out and about exploring. The property does not have ac but once all windows and sliding doors were open and fans turned on it was very cool, even cold at night. Matt was very attentive and helpful as our trip approached. Definite recommend this place! Mahalo!

Paradise

This was one of the most memorable vacations we have taken. We had 7 in our group and everyone had their own space and common space was open n airy. The house is beautiful. Matt was a wonderful host and responded to all questions quickly. We met Chris the neighbor and he was very friendly and helpful as well. Kauai is the place to be. We will definitely be back.

Excellent communication and all the necessities

Matt was wonderful to work with. COVID-related travel issues required us to adjust our check-in dates and Matt was accommodating and quickly responded to our requests. The property was exactly as advertised. We appreciated the use of the beach gear and the house had every amenity we would have at our own home.

Nice clean home!

Nice home to stay at overall. It is pretty basic as far as what it is stocked with, but clean and pretty comfy. We would of loved some outdoor furniture on the master balcony to enjoy it more. Be careful for the ends of a couple of the beds, a couple of us ran into them and then ended up tucking the bedding in well so it is visible. Matt was good about communicating with us and made the entry smooth.

Thank you so much for your stay at our little slice of paradise.  We appreciate the feedback about the outdoor furniture on the master balcony and are having it delivered quite soon to make enjoying the stunning views even easier.   We take pride in going above and beyond with what our home is stocked with - a fully-stocked kitchen, thoughtful touches like USB charging ports by each bedside to keep all of your devices charged and ready, fast WIFI, tasteful island decorations, etc. In addition, our garage is full of beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, walking sticks, igloo coolers, snorkel and fin sets, etc., so that you can save the time, money and hassle of either buying or renting those while on island. We truly appreciate you staying with us and I hope that if your travel plans bring you back to Kauai, that you would consider staying at our little slice of paradise again. Mahalo!

House was just aa listed. Property owner was fantastic and helpful. Loved being able to walk to get coffee in am. Comfortable home, would definitely recommend it.
