Dieses neue, maßgefertigte Haus wurde vom Hausbesitzer selbst gebaut. Dieses Haus verfügt über neue Geräte aus Edelstahl, eine grüne, energieeffiziente Klimaanlage und ein großes Rundum-Deck. Es ist eingebettet auf 1,30 Hektar in einer Sackgasse. Das Hotel liegt zwischen der Innenstadt von Jim Thorpe und dem Skigebiet JFBB. Wildwasser-Rafting befindet sich nur wenige Minuten vom Haus entfernt. Schöne Landschaft, friedliche und ruhige Lage. Dieses Haus verfügt über 3 Schlafzimmer, 2,5 Bäder, einen Dachboden, eine Waschküche, einen großen Raum mit einem schönen Holzkamin, ein Deck mit Grill und eine Gas-Feuerstelle für die verschneiten Nächte nach dem Skifahren und Snowboarden den ganzen Tag. Location is beautiful

The communication with the owner exceeded expectations. The house in a really nice location. The driveway was a bit steeper than I imagined but once the snow was gone it was no problem for three different types of vehicles we had. The house was as described - photos reflected exactly. Also the front steps had ice/snow melters installed which I thought was fantastic.

Perfect family getaway

The location was perfect for our family trip. The kids loved the lake, we spent all day there and even had the beach all to ourselves one day. Each of our 3 nights we built a fire and the surrounding was ideal. We explored the trail down the creek as well. The house was well maintained and great space for our needs.

Great property surrounded by nature

Awesome place. Loved relaxing by the fire in the evenings and having morning coffee on the deck. The house was very clean and had lots of games for the kids and adults. Close to rafting and hickory run state park but secluded and surrounded by nature.

Perfect Little Getaway

The property was absolutely perfect! We had a few last minute days off and decided to get away from the city. The house is located in a community, but you would never know it, definitely a secluded feel. We had perfect weather and spent most of our nights relaxing on the deck and watching the wildlife and listening to leaves fall from the trees. Plus, the Chalet was in the perfect location for all the places we wanted to visit! We visited Jim Thorpe the second night there and enjoyed a beautiful scenic train ride and after we had an AMAZING lunch at Ouros. Our third day there we hiked some trails at Hickory Run state park and visited Boulder field. Definitely will be back!

Lovely short getaway

We had a wonderful time at the house. It is such a cool place and our kids really enjoyed the game room downstairs. Location is awesome. Weather didn't work out for us, but the house was such a nice place to just hang out and relax. Owners were super easy to reach if anything came up!

Spacious and quiet house

This house was great with spaces to sleep and common areas. We loved the beck and fire pit. The basement had many amenities for our group, and we spent our last night down there. We had a blast and would recommend this house.

Great trip! Great cabin!

Wonderful stay! Property is great! My teens loved it! It is clean and spacious. After a few days in NYC it was great to just relax in this beautiful home. The property has all you need and then some! Owners are very responsive and helpful. Don’t hesitate to reserve this place!

Peaceful Getaway

Our family loves this place! For two years now we have gone over Thanksgiving and it was such a peaceful, quiet place to get away. There is plenty of room for our big family to spread out when we need space, hang out together in the rec area or go for walks and see deer and foxes. Our boys loved walking to different fishing sites either behind the house or at the lake. Jennifer was a great host who was quick to get back to us when we had questions. We will definitely be back in the years to come!

Plenty of space to relax

Between the large deck, comfy living room, long kitchen table, and incredible game room and bar downstairs, there's a ton of space to relax and have fun. The teens in particular enjoyed the basement with its pool table and bunk beds. Jen was extraordinarily quick with responses before and during our stay, even when she was on her own vacation.

Wonderful Thanksgiving getaway

We truly enjoyed our three days in this home. The homeowner was very responsive to questions. Clean, peaceful, relaxing. Loved the wall of windows! Enjoyed frisbee golf at Hickory Run and Eurana while we were there. Was too cold to enjoy the outdoor firepits but fire in the fireplace made it very cozy. Would go back anytime!!

Presidents Day long weekend

We had a fun weekend staying in this house. 6 little girls loved the bunk beds in the basement. They enjoyed exploring the trail to the creek and the bonfire was nice in the morning and evening. We went to Winterfest in Jim Thorpe. It wasn’t the snowy weekend we were hoping for as it was unseasonably warm but still a relaxing getaway.

Built with love

One of the best homes we have rented in the Poconos. Lots to do just at the house alone. From fuse ball to playing pool, karaoke and a nice size fire pit. The deck gets plenty of sun to relax but has shaded areas to stay cool! Quiet area with community beach. Not far from stores either! We will definitely make our way back here!

Amazing Christmas at the Boarding Bear Chalet

We had a wonderful and very relaxing Christmas stay at the Boarding Bear Chalet. The house was beautiful and very clean. We were not expecting Christmas decorations and were so excited to see a stunning Christmas tree and outside lights. The house is extremely well designed and we especially loved the large master bathroom! We woke up on Christmas Eve to a light dusting of snow that transformed the forest into a winter wonderland. We loved sitting in the living room looking out over the forest (very secluded!) Overall, a wonderful family vacation!

Nice Getaway!

This property is convenient to the PA turnpike but nicely secluded in the woods. The home is spacious and well appointed. We enjoyed the deck, game room, and the open floor plan which was nice when you have several people and it is easy to monitor kids. The only minor disappointment was the outdoor grill, it was in very poor condition so we did not use it. The property owner was very quick to respond to questions and had very useful information about the area and the property, If we would visit the area in the future I certainly would consider staying at the property again.

Wonderful home!

We got lucky with this vacation home find. 7 of us had plenty of space plus some. We loved playing pool and foosball and very much enjoyed no TV in the "living room." Sitting by the fireplace without a distracting TV, playing games and connecting as a family made this trip amazing! Jen was so responsive to all our questions and provided every answer we needed. We loved this home and would come back again for different seasons. The community beach looks like it would be great in the summer. Thanks again for having such a beautiful home to share.

Beautiful, Quiet location

This is a nice quiet location on the edge of the Poconos. If quiet, away from it all, is what you seek, then this place will suit. The home itself is spacious. Basement has yet to be finished and the ceilings in the main area. Not really a drawback to the entire property. The hosts were great throughout the process. We did see wildlife, even spotted a bear cub walking by our cars. We did go whitewater rafting near by, but I can see this also being a really nice fall/winter retreat.

We met at Camelback Ski Resort at The Thirsty Camel after a day of skiing and snowboarding in 2002. The Poconos holds a special place in our hearts. We decided to buy land and build our very own vacation home from the ground up. Garry is a builder and contractor in South Jersey. We both built this house with our own hands in our spare time while running businesses, starting & raising a family. We love Jim Thorpe, the location, the activities, the beautiful scenery, the wildlife, etc...We hope you enjoy and respect it as much as we do. We really hope you enjoy your stay and make special memories while staying in our home.

The options are limitless. You can raft or hike during the day then come back, unwind, and relax around the firepit in the evening. The choice is yours! Our home offers the right amount of serenity in an area full of adventure, shopping in downtown Jim Thorpe, restaurants, and/or entertainment, etc...

Our home is located on a cul-de-sac nestled in the woods where we usually see bears, deer, turkey, and fox run freely. We love the scenery and the peaceful, quiet setting. Very relaxing yet there are many activities to keep you and your family busy no matter the season.
