The apartment was more than we could have hoped for! It was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay in Houston. Our hostess was incredibly communicative, thoughtful, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. She even left a handwritten note and a lovely welcome gift, which made the experience feel extra special. We truly felt at home and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Deborah is an amazing host. Her “refuge in Montrose” was impeccable and she had everything so welcoming for us when we arrived. We loved her home and the location was perfect for us. Dining, walkable, easy access to highways and the parks. Very safe neighborhood. Highly recommend this property and if we have the opportunity, we will definitely stay here again.

We’ve stayed in this lovely home away from home several times now, and it never disappoints. The space is spotless, cozy, and perfectly located close to everything in Houston. Deborah truly goes above and beyond—her thoughtful touches and warm communication make us feel welcomed every time. It’s the perfect little hideaway, and we’re always happy to return.

We are both professionals and have lived in Houston for almost 20 years. We love to travel, but we find comfort in returning to the peace and quiet of our home. We enjoy having dinner parties with friends, walking, reading, undertaking different projects around the house, meeting new people.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

We fell in love with this duplex when we first visited it. We loved the light, the windows and the size and layout were perfect for us. Anton personally did most of the complete remodeling that we undertook while we lived in the upstairs apartment. It was a labor of love! We knew we wanted to live in an older home and preserve some bit of history in Houston. Van Buren is a calm street amid an increasingly bustling neighborhood. Most everything is within walking distance. We still live upstairs, but have lived in both units and love each for their own unique characteristics.

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig

The aspects we love most about the downstairs unit that is available for booking are:

--high ceilings
--spacious kitchen/breakfast nook
--easy first-floor access
--two bathrooms (one with tub and the other with shower)
--view of backyard
