Hosts John and Valerie were very responsive and helpful. The condo was very clean and comfortable for 3 people. Beds were comfortable. It is very close to a little shop and a few great small restaurants with delicious food. Pool close by was not too busy and the trolley to the beach was easy to access. Overall a great time!

Private residence in nice community easy walk to the resorts

This private residence is nice and affordable. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it's not much of a walk to get to the Sian Kahn Resort and from there you can ride a tram anywhere you want. It's not the actual resort experience which means there's not daily maid service and the amenities are limited Etc but it's such a great deal if you want to get into the Baha'i Principe property and not break the bank this is for you the day pass is really not that bad of a deal just make sure you eat all your meals very easy to get a cab to go into town Akumal is really cute little town. Comfortable for a family of four or five make sure you bring extra toilet paper and other things that you might need it's not stocked with supplies. My wife was a little disappointed because she didn't feel spoiled like you do in the resort but I was happy because we got in there for a few days and didn't break the bank on lodging

Love Mexico life!

We can’t say enough about the owners They we’re top notch to deal with ! The area of tulum country club is far from the cancun airport but worth the trip ! When we arrived we picked up b the keys at casa club , all went well We got into the condo and was just like the photos displayed John gave us lots of info before we got there One thing we did not buy enough of was water There is a water service every Wednesday at the condo, but remember there is no dispenser in the condo so buy lots of big jugs at chaudraui before coming to the condo We only used the bedroom upstairs and we found the bed comfortable The furniture in the condo living room area very nice The outdoor patio had lovely furniture to lounge and eat our meals at a nice table We used the oven a lot plus the stove Being there for 1month we explored lots around the area The golf we did not do play but the courses looked lovely The shuttle service to the beach was not large enough for the amount of people wanting to get to Kay beach they need. To send a double one for sure Jungle fish restaurant is a must not a far walk from the condo outside the resort Not enough variety at the jool Booloom at the golf course but great atmosphere Word of advice don’t leave the patio door open No screen and remember you are in a jungle here Thank you again John and Valerie Hope to return next year

Great value for your dollar for super clean and new

I really wanted to give this property 5 stars, because it is a tremendous bargain for such a nice, new, modern, luxurious, super clean property at a location convenient to many Mayan ruins, the adventure parks that start with an X, and many other activities. The resort offers even more right on site, such as 1 hour free water sports per day, beautiful beaches with loungers, and many pools included in this rental price. We enjoyed the jetted tub after being on our feet all day, and used the kitchen every day for breakfasts and to pack our lunches. The jungle view is fantastic. The washer and dryer worked great. We heard no sounds at all from our neighbors except for the wild birds outside at random times of the day and night, so do bring earplugs to use as needed. I gave 4 stars because the hot water was just barely warmer than the cold tap so showering was far from pleasant, and the king bed upstairs has the most caved in mattress that I have ever experienced. You cannot sleep two people in that bed because it is like a hammock and you will roll down to the middle, but thankfully, there is a comfortable futon in that same room and the living room couch downstairs is even more comfortable, so there is a work-around. We reported these things at checkout, so you might want to ask if they have been fixed. We did not eat at any of the onsite restaurants as we found that we could eat for about half the price offsite nearby and in Tulum (if you have a car). We dined beachside at 3 great restaurants: at Paamul beach, Zamas around mid-point of the Tulum "hotel zone", and El Paraiso near the north end of the Tulum hotel zone. All had covered outdoor dining areas with ocean views and served fantastic fish dinners with rice and vegetables. If you only have time for one, do not miss Playa El Paraiso restaurant on the nicest, fanciest beach I've ever been to. The parking lot there is monitored, but is free if you eat at the restaurant or pay for any of their beach services such as lounger rentals, beachside beds, massages, etc. For active persons, we highly recommend the $46 beginner mountain biking jungle tour that meets every morning at the parking lot of Rio Secreto and includes cave tours and swimming in a cenote. Book it through Viator. I am not paid to advertise this, but it is a great value and a unique off-the-beaten-path adventure away from the crowds and immerses you in natural beauty under the supervision of a local guide.

Thanks for the great review! Yes, unfortunately we were aware of the bed issue. It is not the mattress it is the bed frame that a previous guest actually cracked (don't ask how they did it because we don't really know which of our guests did this, but one can only imagine....). I have repaired it previously and we may now need to see if the repair has failed or if we need to purchase a new frame. Once again we apologize for the bed. Now for the hot water issues. We were advised by our Mexican attorneys NOT to get the water too hot (they actually told us a temp to select) as there are a number of lawsuits each year apparently where guests (or their children) injure themselves with hot water burns. Sad but unfortunately this is the world in which we live. We concur with the idea of looking offsite for food as we will occasionally do this too but only if we have a car. Taxis are the most convenient way to get around with out a car and are not too expensive. The easiest approach for most folks visiting in the Rivieria Maya for the first time remains however to go with the onsite restaurants of which there are dozens and dozens. Such an awesome place!! Beautiful!

The condo is absolutely beautiful. We stay every year and love it. New patio furniture this year too which is very nice with a table outside. Also well stocked kitchen for plates and glasses. We love they have the residential tram now coming through Quetzel! The drivers are so nice & fun! This condo sleeps 5 very comfortably! Did a girls trip then extended it with family. The best 11 days! Highly recommend this condo!

Penthouse Condo in Riviera Maya is a Great Destination

The condo is located on the Sian Ka'an side of Bahia Principe's Riviera Maya property. The condo itself is wonderful with beautiful tile throughout and the high ceilings combined with large windows make it bright and inviting. A fully equipped kitchen gives you the option of eating in and the washer and dryer allowed us to pack lighter for the week. The Sian Ka'an side of Riviera Maya features a challenging Robert Trent Jones designed golf course. A really nice layout that incorporates the natural landscape. The resort offers a free trolley service that will take you to each of the different areas within Riviera Maya. We were able to quickly go from Sian Ka'an over to the Gulf side of the resort to lounge on the beach or attend one of the many daily festivities. The all-inclusive food and drink package is a great deal. The food is excellent with a wide variety that will satisfy everyone. The service is also excellent, particularly on the Sian Ka'an side of the resort. The wait staff got to know who we were so that by mid-week they were anticipating our drink orders at each meal. Our only regret is that we did not make it to one of the many a la carte restaurants. Although we did not eat at one, we had multiple discussions with other visitors who did. They all raved about the quality and service. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that is on our repeat list of vacations.
