Der Melkstand befindet sich auf der Knoblauchfarm auf der Isle of Wight am Fuße des Mersley Down im Arreton Valley, einem Gebiet von außergewöhnlicher natürlicher Schönheit. Das Ferienhaus bietet Platz für bis zu 6 Personen in zwei Doppelzimmern und einem Etagenbett. Es gibt zwei Badezimmer mit Badewanne und Dusche. Draußen gibt es einen großen, geschlossenen Garten mit Sitzgelegenheiten und Grill. Unser hauseigenes Restaurant befindet sich vor der Tür und ist täglich zum Frühstück und Mittagessen geöffnet. Sie erhalten Ermäßigungen im Hofladen und im Restaurant sowie Zugang zum Spielezimmer, Tennisplatz, Fußballplatz und zu allen schönen Spaziergängen in der umliegenden Landschaft. Pfauen, Eichhörnchen und Hühner streifen mit Hochlandrindern und Pferden in den umliegenden Feldern frei um den Hof.

Die Farm ist ideal gelegen, um die Insel zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad zu erkunden, die an der Nabe von Radwegen und Fußwegen liegt, für die die Insel berühmt ist. Es gibt einen privaten Fischteich, einen Kilometer entfernt und die Strände sind nicht mehr als 10 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Es gibt drei Schlafzimmer - zwei Zimmer mit Doppelbetten, ein Zimmer mit Etagenbett. Es gibt zwei Badezimmer - mit Badewanne und Dusche und eines mit Badewanne und begehbarer Dusche. Ein großzügiger Außenbereich mit Grill und Gartenmöbeln öffnet sich zum Paddockfeld.

Glorious stay on the Farlic Farm

This is a beautifully appointed, calm and clean cottage with loads of room for two accompanying teens. Walks from ths front door give beautiful views and adventures further afield are easy to access given the central location on the island. On site shop is great and the breakfasts were spectacular. Add in the electric car charging point on site and the whole package was excellent. Thank you garlic farm.

A fantastic stsy

Great location for getting around the island. Well equipped cottage. Lovely views over the fields opposite with horses and rabbits. Lovely walk around the farm, playground and a field by the cottage which the kids loved to play in. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good.

A Truly Wonderful Stay at The Milking Parlour on The Garlic Farm!

Our recent week at 'The Milking Parlour' on The Garlic Farm was simply fantastic, exceeding all our expectations. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and delightful. The booking process itself was incredibly efficient and straightforward, making the initial arrangements stress-free. The pre-booking communication was equally impressive, keeping us well-informed and excited for our trip. A special mention must go to the discount offer on Ferry prices, which was well worth taking and added significant value to our journey. 'The Milking Parlour' cottage is nothing short of beautiful, and the standard of accommodation is truly top-notch. The team at The Garlic Farm has done an outstanding job in creating a wonderful home-away-from-home – comfortable, charming, and perfectly equipped for a relaxing getaway. The friendly staff also deserve a big shout-out. They were consistently welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere of the farm. We thoroughly enjoyed the onsite amenities. A full breakfast in the restaurant was a delightful start to our day on three occasions, and I particularly appreciated calling in for a coffee and cake after my morning dog walks. My wife, meanwhile, became a regular fixture in the farm shop, spending around £100 and already planning future online purchases to replenish her supplies! Our old dog, Toby, also had a wonderful time, enjoying gentle and peaceful walks exploring the farm with me. The accommodation also offered great views from outside and reliable WiFi access inside, keeping us entertained with streaming TV content in the evenings. We recommend staying at The Garlic Farm if you're seeking peace, quiet, and all the facilities you could need for a truly relaxing break. We can't wait to return!

Great short visit

This is our third visit overall to the Garlic Farm accommodation. It's in a beautiful spot centrally on the island with lovely cottages - I'm sure we'll be back for a fourth time.

Lovely cottage and good location

Very much enjoyed our stay. Well equipped cottage but could do with a shelf for toiletries in en-suite and a mirror in 2nd bedroom. Very helpful owners - en-suite door stuck a bit and they solved the problem immediately. Very helpful visitor information was sent in advance to us and repeated as a book in the cottage- really good recommendations, especially Harvey Brown’s farm shop which we used each day. The on-site restaurant is good and very handy for lunch on arrival prior to check in. The on-site shop is good too - good for presents. Really nice walks around the farm - ideal for stretching the legs at the end of a day exploring the island in a car. The location is very peaceful and reasonably central so well placed for exploring the island. All in all we would definitely recommend this cottage and would definitely return on another visit to the island.

Lovely property, and perfect for our stay. Clean, tidy and well equipped and good layout. With the milking parlour we even had a private garden and gated driveway area. A lovely base to explore the island from. The farm itself is a great place to spend time too, we loved the play area, forest walk, shop and of course seeing our first ted squirrels!

Perfect place to stay

We had the perfect stay at the Milking Parlour at the Garlic Farm. The setting is impossible to beat being surrounded by the most beautiful countryside. The location is excellent for getting to different attractions on the island. The garlic farm restaurant on site serves absolutely delicious food but because the farm closes to the public at 5pm it is very quiet at night, including the road. You’re more likely to be woken by sound of birds than you are people or cars. The cottage itself was well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. You get your own private garden with seating and a bbq, perfect for the sunny evenings we had when we there. The check-in instructions sent in advance were clear and easy to follow. If you’re coming from the mainland be sure to get the garlic farm to book your ferry for you as this saved us nearly £100. Excellent accommodation that I would highly recommend.

Family Memories

We visited the Garlic Farm for a family wedding. I was a bit optimistic as I'd never been to the garlic farm before but I must admit I was wrong. It was incredible. Onsite facilities were amazing! The Milking Parlour itself was basic but at such a high standard. The beds were ridiculously comfortable, the showers were to die for. It had everything you could need when staying away from home. I loved that the parking was out the back as if we didn't want to see anyone we didn't have to use the "front door" which over looks the restaurant. We stayed here with our daughter (2 adults and 1 child) and we didn't feel like we were on top of eachother. Our only downside is the kids play area could do with a few extra bits - our 6 year old was a bit bored after 2 goes on it. But we did the Halloween trail which was fun! We'll be back next year to try the yurts!

Our Fourth Stay

We love the garlic farm location and surroundings and hadn't stayed in this property before. I booked it as I thought it had a bigger garden for our dog, which it did, but it wasn't 100% secure for a small escape artist so we couldn't let him lose in the garden. He could have got out under the gate either side. The main gate had bamboo attached to it but it wasn't right to the ground and small dogs if inclined could get out. In hindsight we would have been better in one of the other cottages with a small back yard area. Cleanliness could have been better this time, there were a few things not very clean and spiders webs etc around. The only other thing I was disappointed was for clothes storage in the bunk room, there is a rickety chest of drawers which is very difficult to open and close, but no hanging space, with two teenagers staying in there it was difficult for their clothes. There is room in there if things were moved slightly to put a hanging rail. There were a few other things that would have just made it a bit better but I don't need to list them all. That's the main points but otherwise we loved our stay, the surroundings are lovely at the garlic farm and they put on a great halloween trail for the younger kids, it's so peaceful there to get away from our manic every day life. We had some nice walks in the woods. I did miss seeing the peacocks though don't know where they have gone. Also visited some nice spots around, highly recommend Quarr Abbey which was lovely. The boys did Karting for a couple of hours which was fun and golf at the driving range both next to Tesco, so if you are looking for teenage activities I would recommend those. Also Shanklin seafront had two big crazy golf courses. I am sure we will be back again soon as we love the IOW.

Lovely location

This is our 2nd stay on the Garlic Farm, but first time in the Milking Parlour. The location is stunning and the free garlic and produce from the shop on the property table were really appreciated. The property was spotless and well appointed kitchen apart from no pizza cutter. Although we would stay at the Garlic Farm again, we would not stay in in the milking parlour - we were woken up at 5am by lots of banging on both mornings we stayed. The hot water in the ensuite shower and sink was way too hot and my husband scolded himself when he first used the shower. The shower in the ensuite is not suitable for the disabled - you have to walk around a glass screen to access the shower across a slippery shower tray with no long shower mat provided, only a small bath mat. Instead of the water draining beneath the shower it drains away from it to the entrance of the shower meaning that with shower gel/shampoo it makes it extra slippery when you try to exit the shower- providing disabled bars does not stop you slipping over and are only really helpful if you are getting up and down from a shower seat - but none is provided. I would normally not mention this, but I don't see the point of a property on one level with ramp access when the ensuite shower isn't accessible. Providing a long shower/bath mat could mitigate this as a short term solution and a fold down shower seat fitted to the wall would be great. Despite this issue the accommodation, seating and beds were all very comfortable and the view from the sitting room was lovely and relaxing. If you are not disabled and are heavy sleepers then this property is a great option, being spacious and close to the restaurant and shop. The children enjoyed the football field, tennis and games room - the playground is very basic but better than nothing. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The restaurant is now over priced and the portions smaller than last year - we would not eat here again. Lovely food if money is no object, though.

Beautiful location, lovely cottage, spotlessly clean. Everything there we needed, little extras too. Will definitely be going again. Disabled friendly. The only thing I would suggest is a seat in the shower of the en suite bathroom.

Fulfilled a wish

Have wanted to stay here for some years. Came for an anniversary. Was a few minor issues which we left private feedback for, hopefully they were addressed, If I hadn’t t had to mention these it would have had more 5 stars. I would stay here again.

Great short Easter break with the children

The accommodation was a great fit to our needs, was clean, easy to check-in and check out. There were a few Garlic Farm products on the dining table for us and some milk and basic bits to get going. The location was great and we had a great base. The Games Room was good and my 5 yr old loved it, there was less to entertain my 2 yr old and the playground could do with a slide and traditional type swing. We didn't get to meet our hosts - it would be lovely if they could pop by and say hi, although I do understand the benefit of being self-sufficient and enjoying family time just together. Thanks for a great stay and we'd certainly look to stay again with you on a visit to the Isle of Wight! Thanks.

Excellent Location and Cottage
