The house is really nice and confortable with four room each equipped with AC, located just above a great spot to swim in the sea.The agency is not so great but sill ok.

Great vacation

Had an amazing week in Dubrovnik . Loved the house really has a beautiful charm about it the location was excellent. Bedrooms great size and lovely cotton sheets . Kitchen was a little tired but it didn’t stop us from enjoying every minute.

Absolutely perfect

We were looking for a villa close to Old Town but slightly outside and close to a beach. This villa did not disappoint. It was SO charming, perfectly clean, and in a fantastic location. Mornings eating breakfast overlooking the sea and evenings having a glass of wine before walking into town were glorious. Seriously, it was a dream and exactly what I wanted. The pictures actually do not do it justice!

For location and proximity to the Old Town, this cottage was good. It is located about 10-12 min walk from the main gate, but the part of the route was obstructed by the construction during our visit. There is a small but very cute swim area right below the property, easily accessible by the stairs, and a larger public beach just down the road.The cottage itself is old and rustic. It was renovated since the time of original construction, but all renovation probably took place around Yugoslavian War. The furniture seemed to be procured around the same time and looks very tired. All bedrooms are located on the second and third floors accessible by the stairs that should be deemed an occupational hazard. It is very narrow, steep, and all steps vary in width literally making every step a guesswork, especially since there is no bright light above the staircase. I would not recommend staying there if your party has small children or elderly people with limited mobility. The big positive thing is that the cottage is equipped with the working AC, though also seemingly inherited from Milosevic era, but still quite mighty. The only unfortunate thing about the AC units is that the filters probably were not cleaned for decades and the air blows dust and some moldy smells - but during the heatwave hitting Europe one should not be too picky. The hot water supply was sufficient and the house was equipped with enough towels for all guests.

We must gently note that references to the war and Serbian president Milošević from that time, carry deep historical trauma here in Dubrovnik, Croatia, so a brief look into local history before visiting can help keep reviews respectful to our community. Please rest assured that our AC filters are cleaned regularly as part of our strict maintenance, but we appreciate your comments regarding the steps and furnishings as we continuously work on updates.

Villa near Old Town Dubrovnik

15 minute walk to Ploce gate. Villa private with rocky cove below on sea front. Comfy 4 double beds all with aircon. Little tired but well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and outside barbecue. Host company very responsive to sort out WiFi issue. Host can offer transfers, shopping and other activities..good but not cheap. Hill to access town and house not suitable for for infirm as lots of open steps. Uber is a godsend in Dubrovnik. Avoid cruise tourists by hitting old town and wall when it opens at 8am! Airport transfer 30 minutes.
