Was für eine Art, einen Urlaub auf der Schiene in Ihrer eigenen Kombüse zu verbringen. Sie ist wunderschön, seitdem sie komplett überarbeitet wurde, um es dem Besucher bequem zu machen. Das Schlafzimmer befindet sich auf der Rückseite des Caboose mit einem großen Bett, könnte ich hinzufügen. Es gibt eine Badewanne mit ebenerdiger Dusche. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet. Aber wenn Sie grillen möchten, während Sie die schöne Anlage genießen, ist sie auch für Sie da. Sie sind 90 Fuß vom Unabhängigkeitssee entfernt, der Sie zum Fischen oder einfach zum Spielen in ihrem schönen warmen Binnenwasser anregen wird. Unique and cozy

Neat area to stay lots of things to do ! We hit waterfalls and new to us mountain bike trails in big bay which are amazing !! I found the unique caboose very cozy and accommodating ! Thank you for a great weekend in big bay!

The cutest caboose!

My husband, our dog and I spent 2 nights at this wonderful spot! The caboose had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were great and very responsive.

Fishing Vacation

We fished every day so didn’t spend alot of time in the caboose. However, it was clean, well furnished, and very comfortable. We enjoyed it very much.

Loved the setting! So unique! The hosts were very accommodating. Caboose had all the amenities, but the internet tended to be unpredictable at times. Great weather while we were there.

Outstanding

Staying in the caboose on Lake Independence was a very unique and fun experience. The cabin is small, but cozy and comfortable, and you can’t beat the grounds and the view. Gina and Paul a delight - always available, never intrusive, ever generous. We would definitely come back.

Great location

We had a short stay (just two nights) so didn't have a lot of time to enjoy Independence Lake but it looked fun for kayaking and just floating around. Our hosts were so friendly and greeted us when we arrived, made sure we had everything we needed. We hiked around Sugarloaf Mountain, and visited the beach on Lake Superior which was awesome. Overall very cozy and beautiful location if water and woods are your thing. Close enough to Marquette to enjoy that area too. Eat at Crams cafe before heading home, it was delicious!

a perfect getaway!

We had an enjoyable stay. The caboose has everything necessary in it and outside. Gina and Paul are very nice and responsive hosts. Gina's gorgeous garden is the best place ever to have your morning coffee! The area is full of natural wonders, and you will rarely see other people on your hiking trail. Unique, Comfortable & Relaxing 😌

Totally loved our stay in the adorable little Caboose. The set up is perfect and the bed was very comfortable. Gina and Paul were great hosts and their property is lovely. Enjoyed Gina's beautiful garden drinking my coffee and watching the cute little chipmunks chasing each other all over the place. The lake provided a wonderful background for many gorgeous pictures. Totally recommend this special place to anyone wanting a unique experience and a relaxing vacation.

Perfect weekend getaway

The caboose was perfect for our anniversary getaway weekend. The property owners are friendly and welcoming. The lake is beautiful and we had use of a canoe and kayaks. There was also a grill and fire pit available. Upon check in we were given a sheet with places to go visit including waterfalls and a beach. Gina and Paul are great people, we will definitely be making a return trip.

I really enjoyed my stay in the caboose!

The caboose had all I needed to have a unique and memorable vacation. Gina and Paul were attentive and helpful hosts. I enjoyed talking with Gina when I saw her working in her garden. The caboose was clean. The grounds were beautiful. On clear nights the stars were amazing. I didn't go on the lake, but I can see how it would be a lot of fun for boating and fishing. The U.P. has always been a favorite vacation spot. The caboose is now a favorite destination. I highly recommend it! Cozy caboose on a beautiful lake

The caboose was very comfortable and the hosts were very inviting. However the lake was the best surprise. The clean sandy bottom extended 30-60 feet off shore and hardly got deeper then 3'. The center of the lake does get deeper but along the shore was perfect for kayaking or canoeing.

I was born in the Upper Peninsula, after graduating high school went to the lower Peninsula to continue my education,marry, have my children and live on a fast track for some years. Always I hoped to be back home where I started from. Hence here I am, lucky enough to have raised my children in pristine surroundings,with good air, lots of lakes to play in, trails to walk or climb. I'm a gardener with a passion so you will have lovely grounds to enjoy. When I'm not on me knees in the garden I enjoy cooking,making bird baths or hunting drift wood. Paul and I keep ourselves very busy with our rental interests. We have met some of the most enjoyable people. What a blessing.

This property was purchased because it was the perfect place to retire,plus there needed to be a home for our Caboose. We have our home on the property also so anything you would need would be taken care of right away.

What is more unique then a lovely Caboose. Look out the front door and there is beautiful Lake Independence, go for a stroll in the garden, or just sit there and listen to the water fall. Grill out on your own weber grill, that fish which you might have caught that morning. You can enjoy some of the most wonderful 4 wheeler trails, Hiking, the fall colors are just beautiful!
