Erleben Sie das Beste aus New Glarus in diesem charmanten Vintage-Haus mit schönen Holzböden, einer voll ausgestatteten Küche, einem Wohnzimmer, einem Esszimmer, einem Familienzimmer und einer Wäscherei. Es gibt eine zentrale Klimaanlage und Heizung mit WIFI im gesamten Gebäude.

Das Gästehaus wurde liebevoll mit modernem Komfort und Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet. Es ist ein Haus im Cape Cod-Stil mit drei Schlafzimmern und eineinhalb Bädern. Antiquitäten und Vintage-Stücke wurden einfach mit neuen Möbeln kombiniert, um saubere, komfortable und entspannte Wohnräume zu schaffen. Genießen Sie Ihre Privatsphäre, da das gesamte Haus für Sie und Ihre Freunde oder Familie ist und nicht an Dritte weitergegeben wird.

Private Parkplätze stehen in der Einfahrt zur Verfügung. In der kleinen Garage können Sie Motorräder, Fahrräder oder andere Outdoor-Ausrüstung abstellen. Der schlüssellose Zugang erleichtert das Einchecken und macht sich keine Sorgen um verlorene Schlüssel.

Obere Ebene: Zwei Schlafzimmer (eines größer mit Sitzecke) und ein sehr schönes Badezimmer (gerade renoviert) mit Badewanne und Dusche.

Jedes Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett mit Kissenauflagen und gemütlichen Bettdecken. Alle Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind neu oder fast neu und weiß oder hell gefärbt. Zusätzliche Decken und Kissen sorgen für zusätzlichen Komfort.

Untere Ebene: Schönes Familienzimmer mit neuem Teppich und vielen Sitzgelegenheiten, Fernseher, DVD-Player, Heimtrainer und Yogamatten. Es gibt eine große Waschmaschine und einen Trockner mit Seifen, ein Bügeleisen und -brett sowie einen Ganzkörperspiegel.

We enjoyed our stay here. Most of the rentals we have stayed in were more rural, and I was a little afraid it would be too noisy, but that wasn't the situation.

This was a lovely place to stay for the two nights we were there. Adequate space for the 5 of us to sit around the table to eat and to play games. Well-equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds. Comfortable living room. Good location near to shops and eating places.

Wonderful Getaway

My mom and my sisters and I stayed here for a girls weekend. We had a wonderful stay. We did some day trips into Madison, but New Glarus has some cute shops, great places to eat, interesting scenery, etc. The beds were very comfortable, the water pressure was good. Plenty of dishes for 6 people. Nice seating area to eat, play games, put puzzles together. Felt very safe walking around. It is near the Sugar River Bike Trail. I would definitely come back and bring bikes. There is a wonderful winery with great views and good food. There are a couple of playgrounds and a pool in town for young kids. Teri was easy to work with. Very positive experience. Would definitely come back.

The Holy Cow! Guest Haus in New Glarus was wonderful. Teri is a great host. It was very clean and comfortable. The upstairs bedrooms were a little warm, but it was also in the upper 80s/lower 90s so it was expected. The central air kept the house very comfortable overall. There were plenty of dishes, glasses and silverware and the pots and pans were in good condition. Enjoyed grilling steaks on the propane grill.The house is located about 0.2 miles from the northern trailhead of the Sugar River state trail and is close to the Badger state trail and a reasonable drive to the Military Ridge state trail. The ice cream store next to the parking lot for the Sugar River trailhead was a pleasant surprise.The kitchen/dining room side of the house faces a state road that has a 5-7% incline so there is a little bit of noise from large/heavy vehicles coming up the hill but after a couple of days didn't really notice it.The driveway is on the back side of the house off of 6th Avenue between the house and church that faces 6th Avenue so you'll need to ignore gps/map app directions which will tell you to turn onto 2nd Street..Some of the outlets lack a grounding hole so if you want to plug in anything with a grounded plug, you'll need an adapter.Will definitely stay at the Holy Cow! Guest Haus again if it's available when I'm in the area.

Great Getaway!

The “Holy Cow” house is a charming home and very comfortable. Very easy to walk downtown for shopping and food. Terry was a wonderful host, and even had some cookies waiting for us from the local bakery. We would definitely recommend staying here when visiting New Glarus.

Great place!

We wouldn't hesitate to book this location again. The location was perfect to enjoy all New Glarus has to offer. The house was well appointed and very comfortable. The owner was responsive and accommodating. The only TINY negative feedback is that the TVs in the common areas are way too small for the space. We planned on a lazy Sunday watching the game, which we still were able to do, but would have preferred a larger screen.

Mom and adult kids

It was so nice to spend a weekend with my adult children. No spouses, no grandkids. We don’t get the opportunity to get together because of distance but our stay gave us time to reconnect. We had a cute house that was very clean and tidy. Also one block away from downtown and close to everything. It was so easy to book and communicate with Teri. We had everything we needed to “cook in” a few meals. Thank you Teri!

Renting Again

This is the second year in a row we stayed at the Holy Cow Guest Haus and it felt like coming home. Teri is a fantastic host and quick to answer any question or concern we had. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, the beds are comfortable, and there is plenty of room four adults. New Glarus is a charming town and Teri’s home fits right in with the ambiance. Only 30 minutes from Madison, it’s an easy drive and a quiet, quaint place to relax and unwind. Thank you, Teri! We enjoyed our stay once again!

Thoughtful and Comfortable Home in Heart of New Glarus

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in the Guest Haus! It's perfectly situated in the heart of New Glarus with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The house is very thoughtfully equipped, all of our needs were taken care of. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. We had a toddler and two older guests that found the main stairwell challenging given it is steep, so be aware of that if you have similar guests in your party. We would love to return to the Guest Haus in the future!

The house was very nice and in a great location to enjoy the Madison/New Glarus area.

Our only issue was with the $45/person “extra” fee for more than 2 people. If your place is advertising that it sleeps 6 with 3 bedrooms why would you need to charge more than that? It didn’t mention that fee up front, only as we were booking it. We suggest raising your base rental rate. We’ve used VRBO for lodging all over the US and haven’t had this issue before. Otherwise Teri was wonderful to work with and the house was clean, the kitchen well stocked. Very nice house to stay in. Loved the cow theme throughout the house!
