Unser wunderschön renoviertes Cottage und Lodge ist der perfekte Ausgangspunkt, um den alten Forest of Dean und das Wye Valley zu erkunden. Die freiliegenden Balken und das ursprüngliche Mauerwerk werden durch die gemütliche Einrichtung und die Einrichtung mit modernem Komfort ergänzt. Wir befinden uns etwas außerhalb des malerischen Dorfes Longhope, am Rande des Forest of Dean & Wye Valley, einem Gebiet von außergewöhnlicher natürlicher Schönheit.

Beide Häuser verfügen über einen eigenen Garten mit Tisch und Stühlen und einem Grill, sowie weiteren 7 Morgen gepflegter Gärten und Weiden. Der Bach Baynam fließt durch das Anwesen mit einer großen Weide entlang des Ufers und schafft so eine sehr ruhige Umgebung.

Ein Whirlpool kann für Ihren Aufenthalt gegen Aufpreis zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Bitte fragen Sie zum Zeitpunkt der Buchung, ob Sie den Whirlpool vor Ihrer Buchung bestellen möchten.

Viele unserer Gäste kehren zurück, um es nacheinander zu versuchen oder mit Familie und Freunden zurückzukommen. Sowohl das Cottage als auch die Lodge können zusammen zu einem reduzierten Preis gebucht werden.

Das Dorf Longhope hat eine Fülle von Aktivitäten, darunter eine Kochschule, Battlesports, Tontaubenschießen und Besuche in unserer lokalen Brauerei.

Es gibt Schlösser zu entdecken, Trekking, Radfahren und Go Ape im alten Wald von Dean und Kajakfahren auf dem Fluss Wye.

Wir befinden uns in perfekter Lage, um die historischen Marktflecken Ross on Wye und Monmouth zu besuchen. Die Stadt Gloucester ist nur 10 Autominuten entfernt. Etwas weiter entfernt sind Cheltenham Spa, Bath Cardiff, Bristol und Birmingham.

Cosy cottage

Very cosy cottage in idyllic surroundings. The place was well-equipped and everything was spotless and clean. Nice little extras like home-made cake, local bread and beer when we arrived was a nice surprise. We enjoyed our stay and had a couple of relaxing days :-)

A wonderful family stay

A very clean and comfortable property, tastefully decorated and furnished, providing an excellent base from which to explore the Forest of Dean. We paid extra to hire a hot-tube which was enjoyed by us all. The grounds are spacious and lovely too. The fresh cakes that greeted our arrival were delicious! For those not used to living with traffic noise, the proximity to the busy, main road may be an issue, but we're used to it so it did not bother us too much. The owners were lovely and left us to it, while being close on hand had we needed them. Tracey was highly communicative in the run up to our holiday. Thanks to both Tracey and David - you have a lovely holiday home for all to enjoy.

A fabulous find!

Tracey and David have a fabulous couple of cottages set in beautifully well kept gardens. The cottage we stayed in was super clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a fabulous addition. The extra treats were the icing on the cake (excuse the pun!). I would highly recommend this lovely holiday hide away, it's great for all ages - and pups!

Excellent long weekend

There’s so much to like about this property. First of all we received a very warm welcome from Tracey in particular with a delicious home made cake and some nice local products. The cottage itself is very spacious, clean and is very beautifully decorated. The beds were one of the very best we ever had. With our family we had such an enjoyable and relaxing time especially because there is so much to do in the close neighbourhood of the property. We particularly enjoyed the walk to May Hill with its amazing views. We really would like to come back!!!

A lovely weekend near The Forest of Dean

My husband and myself, along with two friends have had an excellent stay at Mill Cottage. The cottage is extremely comfortable and cosy, with all of the facilities that you need for an enjoyable stay. The beds were very comfortable! The wood burner also a big plus. All finishing touches excellent! It is set in very pretty grounds and located in an ideal area for exploring The Forest of Dean. We also visited the nearby Symonds Yat which was lovely. The owners are a stones throw away and they are very welcoming and friendly people without being at all obtrusive. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Mill Cottage and plan to return sometime in the future!

Amazing

40th birthday was had in absolutely gorgeous surrounding and the property itself was so comfortable and clean. Had everything we needed. Also the welcome cakes Tracey left were extremely thoughtful and tasty. We will definitely look at staying again but for longer next time.

Very pleasant stay in a beautiful property

The property is beautifully furnished with lovely local touches, making it very comfortable to stay in. Tracey was very accommodating even when we had changes to our party. I ended up staying on my own during the first night and Tracey was very reassuring that I could call on her if need be. The extra touches milk, bread and delicious cake along with fresh flowers were very welcome.

Wonderful relaxing retreat

A wonderful little cottage in a lovely rural location next to a stream and rolling hills. Just off the main road so minutes away from Ross on Wye and other locations. A great autumn stay in a clean, cosy and welcoming cottage.

A lovely property and very welcoming.

We had a lovely time enhanced by good weather so we were out and about a lot ,we enjoyed evenings in with log fires,which was lovely. The cottage is quite close to a mainish road and there were lorries rumbling past during the night,but that was only a minor downside. We may return.

Amazing and would return in a heartbeat

I can not recommend this cottage enough. The welcome we received was amazing ( and a homemade cake to top it off) and the cottage is just gorgeous and has everything you could possibly need. We had an fabulous 2 night stay here which was a relaxing girlie weekend away. There is plenty to do around the area and also a small walk to the local pub for some very nice food. Overall I have no faults at all about the cottage and will be returning one day soon hopefully. Book it now if you are considering it, Just absolutely stunning.

Great cottage and a lovely setting

Great cottage in a perfect location, spacious, well equipped, clean and tidy inside and out. The log burner was great a fab novelty for us, but to be honest the heating in the cottage was so good you don't need to use it. The gardens are lovely even in the winter, would love to see them in the summer! There was lots of books, dvds and games at the cottage, but with so much to see and do on the doorstep you probably won't get time to use them. The owners were lovely and helpful and on hand if you needed anything. We had a really good week and I would return without hesitation.
