Wonderful long weekend in a great location

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous home! Everyone was able to have their own room, which was very nice, and it is such a short walk to the beach. The only think was that it looked from the listing like there was a hot tub on the property, but there is not. There are several lovely outdoor spaces to eat and socialize, though! We would definitely come back and would recommend to friends or families!

Perfect for 2 families

The space is perfect for 2 families with teenagers & their friends. Location is great too. Easy walk to the beach & restaurants. House was clean with a well stocked kitchen. Perfect backyard for corn hole too!

Location + Size = Ideal family space!

Finding large rentals in this general area can be a challenge- this home fits the bill! The main front porch is massive and really the main ‘living’ space. Our entire family spent mornings drinking coffee and chatting and nights playing games on this patio- in an already large home don’t overlook this massive beneficial space. Communication with the host was quick and helpful. The bottom floor with two bedrooms and full kitchen is a great space as well! Location and access to the beach are great - walk to restaurants, shops and of course the beach in minutes. Street is quiet, and very family friendly. Will be staying again- thanks Teri!

Location and layout of house were good but…

Layout of house and location was great! House was fully equipped with everything you needed, some appliances were old but worked and air conditioner on the 1st floor worked well but the 2nd/3rd floor didn’t keep the house cool. Host wasn’t very responsive, house was clean but doesn’t seem like there was a walk through before we arrived. Several light bulbs were out, some fixtures didn’t work, some trash & belongings left behind from previous guests, linens from previous guest were left on front porch all week and description of layout of bedrooms and # of guests were not correct. House sleeps only 12 and 5 bedrooms have queen size beds and 1 king size. Overall we love Delaware, been there 5 times and always have a good time!

First Dewey Vacation

Photos and descriptions of rooms inconsistent and deceptive. House was beautiful but smaller than photos elude. The house was large enough for our family to spread out, however. Getting to beach was challenging and risky for elderly and folks with infant. Traffic was ridiculous. First time in Dewey. Learning experience. Dewey Beach patrol very accommodating getting a beach wheelchair every day. So thankful. We did have a nice time being all together. Great for young folks, but a little too congested for older folks. Loved all the places within walking distance. Thank the Host for allowing us to rent their beautiful home. .

Family fun with plenty of space

We had a great stay at this home. With the downstairs and upstairs living spaces, it was easy to spread out, prepare meals, and get all the laundry done as needed. The house was clean and comfortable and we loved that there were plenty of bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again.

Great house for our family and close to beach.

Nice to have 2 kitchens and 2 washer and dryers. The kids loved the outside showers and nice to not drag sand into the house. Close to beach and downtown Dewey - could walk easily. Nice location and plenty of room for our families.

Great location and plenty of room to hang out inside and on the decks!

Stayed over the 4th of July and was able to enjoy the restaurants, bars, and beach. House is very centrally located, and was perfect for our group of friends!

Teri was an excellent and responsive hostess. The house is suitable for one large family or two smaller families as it has two kitchens and laundry facilities in connected living spaces. Short walk to the beaches and restaurants of Dewey Beach while being on a quiet residential street just off The Rt.1/1A intersection.

Spacious house with Fabulous location!

Spacious house with Fabulous location - 1&1/2 block walk to the ocean, 1-3 blocks to the Dewey bar scene and bikeable to Rehoboth restaurants! Owner was very responsive to our needs. Separate apartment downstairs worked well for our young adults!

Great location - horrible management, dirty, no communication, broken appliances. Do not stay here!

I had never booked a property with VRBO before, and I never will against The communication between the owner/realtor was almost nonexistent. I had messaged the realtor the day before our arrival to ask how we enter the house for our stay and she gave me the lock box code. She said we could not open the house until after 3 due to the cleaning crew, which was understandable. I tried to contact the realtor the day of arrival to ask if we could at least park at the house but got absolutely no response. When we unlocked the house at 3, it was clear the cleaning crew had not come. There were dishes in the sink that smelled foul, they had probably been there for at least a week. There was laundry lint all over the floor, one bathroom was without a shower curtain and the hot water heater was not working. When we discovered the hot water heater wasn’t working, I again tried to contact the realtor with no luck. The air conditioning on the bottom floor was also not working, it was a sweat box. The realtor finally showed up on Monday and claimed she “did not know we were here.” Which was either a lie, or this website is very disorganized. On top of all this, the house is not advertised as described!! The description says 5 queen beds, which is 100% not true. There was 1 king, 1 queen, and the rest were doubles. Several people had to sleep 2 to a bed on a double bed, which is not what we had planned or expected at all. The location of this house is awesome, that’s the best thing I can say. I had tried to contact the owner and realtor after our stay in order to receive some sort of reimbursement, with no responses. Overall, it was very disappointing and I would not recommend staying in this house.
