Greenbanks ist das letzte Haus entlang des Küstenwegs zwischen Abbotsbury und West Bexington. Diese freistehende Ferienimmobilie befindet sich am Chesil Beach und bietet einen herrlichen, unverbauten Blick auf das Meer und den Himmel. Das Haus wurde komplett renoviert und ist seit fünfzig Jahren ein beliebtes zweites Zuhause. Es bewahrt viele seiner ursprünglichen Merkmale, darunter einen offenen Kamin, und bietet geräumige und komfortable Unterkünfte. Jedes Schlafzimmer hat ein eigenes Bad. Obwohl die Lage sehr privat ist (der Zugang erfolgt über einen schmalen, manchmal holprigen Pfad), ist es nur ein 20-minütiger Spaziergang entlang des Küstenwegs nach West Bexington, wo Sie das nächste Pub mit Speisen finden. Nach einem 15 bis 20-minütigen Spaziergang in Richtung Abbotsbury gelangen Sie zu den subtropischen Gärten. Die örtlichen Geschäfte in Abbotsbury erreichen Sie nach 3,2 km. Bridport, Dorchester und Weymouth sind jeweils etwa 16 km entfernt. Das Gebiet ist aufgrund der örtlichen Flora und Fauna von besonderem wissenschaftlichen Interesse. Die Spaziergänge, Aussichten und Sonnenuntergänge sind fantastisch. Geschäfte 2 ½ Meilen, Pub und Restaurant 1 Meile.

Erdgeschoss: Wohnzimmer mit französischen Türen zum Esszimmer / Wintergarten / gemütlichen und Kinderspielbereich. Ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett. Nasszelle mit WC. Voll ausgestattete und gut ausgestattete Küche.

Erster Stock: 3 Schlafzimmer, alle mit Meerblick. Schlafzimmer 1: Doppelzimmer (6 Fuß) mit en-suite Badezimmer mit Dusche über der Badewanne und Toilette, Schlafzimmer 2: Doppelzimmer (6 Fuß) oder Zweibettzimmer (ein Reißverschluss- und Verbindungsbett), mit zusätzlichem Einzelbett, mit eigenem Badezimmer mit Dusche über der Badewanne und separates WC. Schlafzimmer 3: Doppel- (6ft) oder Zweibettzimmer (ein Reißverschluss- und Verbindungsbett) mit eigenem Duschbad.

Kamin im Wohnzimmer (anfänglicher Brennstoff eingeschlossen). Zentralheizung aus Biomasse-Holzpelletskessel, Strom, Bettwäsche und Handtücher inklusive. Hochstuhl. Ein Kinderbett ist vorhanden, jedoch ohne Bettwäsche. Elektroherd, Mikrowelle, Küchenmaschine und Liquidator, Geschirrspüler und Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach. Waschmaschine, Wäschetrockner und ein zweiter Kühl- / Gefrierschrank im externen Waschraum / Schuhraum. Wi-Fi und Sky-TV. Großer Garten mit Rasen und eine Terrasse mit Möbeln und Grill. Ausreichend Parkplätze. Rauchen verboten. NB: 3 Stufen von der Terrasse in den Garten mit Rasen.

Beautiful sea views from this charming house

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - fabulous location and very well stocked house right on the beach. The house felt so homely - more like someone’s home than a rental - great cafe/restaurant 20 mins walk down the beach.Our age range was 23 through to 88 - something for everyone.

Perfect, even better than we expected

The location, the house, wow this was absolutely faultless. 7 adults, 1 teenager and 2 two dogs for 3 nights at new year and it was everything we hoped for. Spectacular views and perfect for the storm as we hunkered down and had a fire in the comfortable lounge playing games. We all found the beds extremely comfortable and each bathroom was spacious and very clean. The whole place, just incredible!

Stunning property & location

Greenbanks is a wonderful property - this is the 3rd year running that we've been, we love it. The first thing that hits you when you get out of the car when you arrive is the tranquility - just the sound of the waves on shingles & birdsong. The view of the sea & the sunsets are so memorable.Good well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds with soft sheets. Great bathrooms. Lovely walks from the property & a lovely safe garden for the grandchildren. Right on the South West Coast Path. We'll be back again soon.

Amazing location and great accommodation

This really is the most fantastic location. Fabulous sea views, beautiful sunsets, rabbits playing on the lawn, great walks, quiet and peaceful but near lots of places to visit if you want to. The cottage itself is also wonderful - very comfortable, well-equipped, spotless - the pictures don't do it justice, even though they are lovely! Communication with the owners and their team was excellent, they were very responsive to any queries we had. On their recommendation we had a delicious Sunday lunch at the Manor House in West Bexington, just along the coast path from the cottage. I would recommend this as a great holiday destination to anyone, and really hope to be able to return some day!

Breathtaking location

Five of us stayed in October including my 80year old parents. We had such a wonderful time. The location is stunning with sweeping views of the English Channel. The house is big and has lots of different spaces to get away from each other if you need to! Kitchen is fully equipped - you don’t need to bring anything. I also love that the house is still owned by family members, I wouldn’t ever sell it. It’s gorgeous.

Excellent stay next to sea and countryside

Super! The larks sang every day as I had breakfast in the garden. We loved the house, as always. Many thanks for the small improvements, especially the new rail by the steps up to the utility area. The downstairs shower needed a repair and Shirley came promptly and the plumber turned up first thing next day, so we didn't lose any holiday. Brilliant.

Just beautiful

Fantastic introduction to the property from Shirley. Beautiful property, clean & equipped with everything you may need. You can forget all your troubles when you are surrounded by such comfort and views out to sea. A few metres walk to the shingle beach and a great base from which to explore the surrounding area. Traveled with 3 generations, with party members aged 3-80. Visited Abbotsbury Gardens, the Swannery, Weymouth & Lyme Regis. Unable to get a table at any of the recommended eateries, so booking in advance recommended.

Absolutely wonderful

We loved our week at Greenbanks. We have stayed in many holiday homes over the years and loved pretty much all of them, but Greenbanks is an absolute star. The location is delightful and so quiet, which is great. The house is beautifully furnished and very homely. It is made extra special by the mentions and photos of Gt. Uncle Edgar and Aunt Marian and all the family books and furnishings. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with just about everything you need and all of it is high quality. You could even bake a cake if you really wanted to go that mad on holiday. Thank you to the lovely owners and to Nina and co for their wonderful care.

Stunning setting

The setting is a real wow. You arrive along the shingle beach and then can see no other buildings. The house is warm and comfortable. If anything there is too much kitchen equipment so there are few places to store your own. The dinning area has a fabulous. Outlook, the lounge a cosy fire. The weather whilst we were there was stormy so very exciting. The upstairs beds and baths were. excellent . The downstairs bed is comfortable but in a very small room. The wet room was vg indeed

Wonderful location, immaculately presented.

Our second stay, a beautifully presented property almost on the beach (Chesil Bank), ideal for a family holiday. A peaceful location, no passing traffic, a wonderful place to spend a day on the terrance watching the sea, enjoying a BBQ or playing with the kids on the lawn. It is a pleasant 20/25 minute walk along the Dorset Coatal Path to West Bexington with its sea food restaurant or Abbotsbury’s Sub Tropical Gardens with its excellent tea room. Perfectly placed to explore the Jurassic Coast and the beaches at Weymouth or Lyme Regis. Some practical points, Waitrose will deliver, be careful on Chesil Bank it’s not safe for bathing and Children need careful supervision.

We love the house. Another great fortnight in Dorset. Have rebooked for next year. My only (very small) disappointment is the fact that the anglers come and park their cars and 4x4s right in front of the house - any chance of putting a stop to that? Is the NT a help (or hindrance) here? We liked the small changes you had made to the property - shelves in kitchen, etc. The housekeeper is always very helpful. Many thanks.
