"Tall Pines" ist ein ursprünglicher gemütliches Ferienhaus in den 1960er Jahren gebaut auf einer Halbinsel mit einem Punkt. Das Haus mit Blick auf eine Bucht und verfügt über einen eigenen Dock mit Boot. Es gibt eine Feuerstelle und Bänke um das Wasser auf den Punkt, mit Blick auf. Neben einem Zinn Boot, kommt das Haus mit einem Grill, Paddelboot und ein Ruderboot. Es ist ein ausgezeichneter Ort für Kinder, da das Wasser entlang der Küste ziemlich flach ist. Dieser Bereich ist auch sehr beliebt für die Fischerei. Es gibt Parkplätze für mehrere Autos neben dem Haus. Das Haus verfügt über ein Doppelbett, ein Doppelbett und ein Etagenbett. Es verfügt über eine voll ausgestattete Küche, Bad mit Dusche und Kamin. Es gibt auch eine bunkie auf dem Grundstück, das über ein Doppelbett. Bitte beachten Sie, dass Bruce und ich habe eine Insel Besitz, 10 Minuten mit dem Boot. Wir verwenden Tall Pines als unsere Straße Zugang zum Island Cottage und wir versichern Ihnen, dass wir kommen und gehen sehr schnell und führt dazu, dass sehr wenig Störung.

We have a holding tank underground on the property, and ask that nothing inappropriate be flushed down the toilet.

This a spacious lovely cottage in a beautiful setting! Clean, lots of windows! Lake frontage and docks on three sides, and ample opportunity to fish. Very private and quiet. The bathroom is new but we found the shower stall a bit small. We had a very relaxing time here. Never saw so many different animals and birds, woodpeckers, eastern Phoebe, a turtle, muskrat, a family of otters, ducks ... Wonderful!

Great place overall but could use some updates in the kitchen with cutlery, pots and pans etc. The bbq was excellent and lots of propane on site also thank you for letting us use the covered boat slip for the week!! Would like to return to Tall Pines next summer for sure, hope to be back.Cheers Bill and Dory.

Okay as an old cottage . Limited space in bedrooms . Kitchen clean and servicable , could use some exra serving pieces and glasses . Needed some extra lighting to read . View was beautiful ! A fantastic waterfront cottage on 1.2 Billion year old Canadian Shield, on a peninsula surrounded by old growth Pine forrest. This property is pure gold for landscape photography.

Great escape from the city

We had a great time - canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, some little swims, campfires, sunbathing 😀 The washroom was nice and new and the kitchen had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the vintage games, books and movies!

tall Pines fishing holiday

The property is as described , it is a cottage on a beautiful point of a bay back of the lake. The fire pit is on the point to enjoy the outside. There is a fireplace for warmth inside if needed. The lake has excellent fishing and has islands all over and lots of wildlife and was a great stay for me.

First vacation in 11 years

The cottage was well equipped with all the comforts of home - including a tv and vhs tapes to watch when the weather turned. My kids loved swimming and exploring the property. The wildlife was amazing! Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful location. The managers were very easy to talk to and addressed any questions or concerns we had.

A perfect get-away! Loved it!

I immediately fell in love with Tall Pines. It is exactly as described. A well cared for, clean and comfortable cottage with spectacular views. The waterfront is perfect for canoeing, kayaking and swimming or for just sitting and drinking in the beauty of nature. I loved having my morning coffee on the deck in the sun. The fireplace and outdoor fire pit are wonderful perks. Situated on a natural peninsula, there is plenty of privacy. Lee and Bruce were excellent hosts, friendly and responsive. I enthusiastically recommend this gem!

Perfect Honeymoon

Very peaceful and the water is gorgeous 😍 Owners are very thoughtful and picked us fresh flowers, which was a wonderful surprise! You can tell that Bruce and Lee put a lot of thought into making their guests comfortable with the fans and blankets and necessities provided. Kitchen was fully stocked with equipment which was amazing! I also really appreciated having access to a clothesline. We got a lot of use out of the indoor fireplace and was one of our favorite memories. The lake was gorgeous with easy fishing, and at night stargazing is a must! 10/10 reccomend if you want peace and quite with gorgeous scenery.

A Peaceful Week at Tall Pines

We enjoyed a very peaceful and relaxing summer week at Tall Pines. The charming cottage, set on the scenic Trent-Severn Waterway near Burleigh Falls, was fully functional and well-equipped with everything we needed. In the morning, the sun bathed the front deck and living room in a warm light. Our bedroom was so close to the shore that reflections from ripples on the water cast patterns on the ceiling. The sheltered bay is ideal for calm paddling, yet close enough to the Stoney Lake channel for easy access to open water. Our hosts, Lee and Bruce, were very friendly and hospitable. We look forward to returning.

Not able to swim in that water

We were all disappointed with the bay of water. Not possible to swim. The use of a paddle boat and canoe, was helpful.

Nice, but needs more privacy!

The property owners are nice, but they come and go from boat dock too much. This would be fine if the property were larger, but it's not so the owners are walking right thru your BBQ to get to their boat. Also cottage needs to be cleaned better. We didn't appreciate a machete (!!!) left in the cottage from previous guests, particularly with our toddler running around. On plus side: cottage is Canada rustic, property is nice and the swimming, though weedy, is great.

Thank you for your feedback Laura, we always appreciate constructive feedback from our guests. We have never had a situation where a guest left a large knife behind, and unfortunately, because it was hidden out of the way, our cleaners did not find it. I really appreciated your cooperation when we let you know right away. that we were faced with having to locate the knife. Thank you for finding it, and I must add, it came well protected in a very secure, strong and well made holder, so there was no risk to anyone. I think we all handled it to the best of our ability. Regarding your privacy and our presence, we do use the Tall Pines property for parking our car and also docking our boat. We try very hard to be discreet and try to walk at a good distance away from the Tall Pines cottage to our boat. We try to stick to the laneway which is approximately 15 feet away from the Barbeque and building. And we do indicate in the cottage instructions that our access is part of the rental. I am sorry that you found it intrusive. Hope you and your family have a wonderful rest of the summer! Lee and Bruce

We wish we are still there

We had the time of our life. We rented the cottage to unwind and go hiking. Oh boy did we unwind. The veranda is simply heaven. You come out in the morning with a coffee and look over the lake. The location is amazing. We are not really water sport people but we used the canoe and the paddle boat and did a few loops around the nearby islands. The cottage has everything you need. Brand new bath room, fully equipped kitchen, even books and games. Its so cosy and homey, you don’t want to leave. Everything was very clean. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. Tall Pines review

Location was great for a quiet getaway. Cottage has been partially renovated after storm damage last year. Bathroom is new. We enjoyed relaxing on the screen porch - our favourite spot to do jigsaw puzzles and listen to birdsong. Water has some weeds, so we did not swim, but we are not big swimmers anyway. We enjoyed canoeing - the location is perfect for that. Host was very friendly, and quickly dealt with any issues that came up. We would definitely consider coming back next year. Unfortunately we cannot recommend vrbo to anyone, as we had numerous problems with them, but once we were able to communicate with the host directly everything turned out fine.

We had an excellent time at this very well equipped cottage. If you love birds and other wildlife this is fantastic, we saw merlin, osprey, herons, loons, woodpeckers, mink, frogs, turtles, and more. Just note that the internet doesn’t work well sometimes, so if you are trying to work, particularly on a weekend, it isn’t the best; but you’re supposed to be on vacation, right :)

Excellent stay in a charming cottage by the lake

This was the perfect week-long getaway for our little family. The cottage was super clean and had all the amenities that you could ask for in a cabin. WE had a 4-year-old and an 18-month-old and they both had a blast. Cozy stay with an amazing lakefront view!

Beautiful property

What an amazing property, right on the water with the most gorgeous view. Lots of water toys to play with and board games for rainy days. Fire pit right on the water and even an indoor fireplace in case it gets chilly. What more could you ask for? Hopefully we get a chance to come again.

We have now purchased a cottage on an island, and travel to this from "Tall Pines". The residents of the cottage will admire majestic white pines and pink granite.
