The location is good to walk to Hollyrood Park, Old Town, local restaurants and the Sainsburys close by. It is an average city neighbourhood with many large blocks of flats. The parking is good with a parking pass to park in a carpark behind the building and not far from the flat. You can park briefly to unload the car by the building door. This flat has the benefit of a ground floor courtyard overlooking the small local park. It is overshadowed by a large tree which provides privacy but also blocks all sun from the space which is on the dark side of the flat anyway. The kitchen is well equipped with everything as per listing. The bedroom is a little narrow but space either side and comfy bed. This flat is probably better suited to winter stays when heating comes on and radiators are working. We were there in a summer “heat wave” and our main issue was wet towels and not being able to dry clothes after using the washer. The bathroom fan is useless and everything steams up and gets wet and takes ages to dry out. Even with high summer temperatures and wind clothes on the drying rack took two days to dry. That’s with moving them from the shaded deck outside to inside in the bedroom where the window gets late day sun and back out again. Not easy when the deck just has one std opening door. The flat would be 10/10 with a dryer and an electric heated towel rail in the bathroom or extra towels in summer would help. In all quite good value.
