Das Seascape ist unser Premium-Hotel in exklusiver Luccombe mit herrlichem Blick über Sandown Bay. Suchen Sie nach Vectis Ferienhäuser auf Ihrem Webbrowser für mehr Info und buchen Sie zum besten Preis plus Fähren Rabatte.
Während der Schulferien ist unser Wechseltag Freitag und unser Mindestaufenthalt beträgt sieben Tage. Zu allen anderen Zeiten bieten wir jedoch Kurzaufenthalte mit einem Mindestaufenthalt von drei Tagen an.

Der Seascape nimmt das Erdgeschoss eines Architektenhauses ein. Es wurde vor kurzem renoviert und verfügt über kostenloses WiFi und TV in allen Zimmern. Jedes Detail ist wichtig, so dass die Bettwäsche aus 100% Baumwolle besteht und ein Willkommenspaket, Handtücher und Bademäntel zur Verfügung gestellt werden, um Ihren Urlaub oder eine kurze Pause noch luxuriöser zu gestalten.

Sie können im Bett liegen und das Meer beobachten, da Segelboote und Kreuzfahrtschiffe vorbeifahren. Dann entspannen Sie sich mit einem BBQ in den frühen Abend und beobachten Sie die Lichter auf rund um Sandown Bay. Oder genießen Sie ein Glas etwas sprudelnd beim Sitzen im Whirlpool mit Blick auf die dramatische Küste. Dies ist, wie Feiertage sein sollten.

An einem klaren Tag - und wir haben viele von denen auf der Isle of Wight, da es einer der sonnigsten Orte in Großbritannien ist - können Sie bis zur Küste von Sussex sehen.

BEST PROPERTY EVER

We had an amazing stay at The Seascape. From the second we walked through the door the house lived up to everything we saw in the photos. It is possibly the most comfortable and well-equipped house we have ever rented, with a wonderful view of the sea and perfect hot tub location on the decking. We would highly recommend this for any time of the year.

End of year getaway

We chose this property as a base to get away for a week after Christmas, the criteria we normally look for are comfy seating and beds, reasonable TV, decent cooking facilities and a few things to do in the local area. The apartment was well suited to all of these, it is well equipped, situated in a great spot, the garden overlooking the sea was lovely and the views sitting in the hot tub were excellent. The hot tub was clean, maintained daily with checks on the levels to keep everything healthy and clean, and a great way to chill out in the evenings. Some good walking in the area, a few attractions still open and a great base to go back to meant we were never at a loss for things to do. The red squirrel visitor in the garden was an added bonus too. We had a great week away and could not really pick any faults with this great apartment

Our Isle of Wight Visit

We are a group of 5 adults ( 2 Brits and 3 from the US) and we had a wonderful stay. The property is just as represented. Three lovely bedrooms with comfortable beds and baths, a lounge and kitchen/dining area combo. The washer and drier are conveniently placed in the kitchen. Very clean inside and out. Two bedrooms have lovely views as does the lounge. The grounds keepers visited while we were there. The house and grounds are well cared for and it shows. We didn’t need any assistance while we visited as all our questions and concerns had been quickly answered before our trip. The location is very convenient to the ferry and there is a lot to do in the area. If we are lucky enough to return to the Isle we hope this property is available and will stay there again.

Where not to stay if you want luxury

As soon as we walked into The Seascape, we were disappointed. The property is dark and dismal and the decor in the living area is dark maroon, dark purple, with a rug that looks as if it has seen better days. The dining table surface is worn, how about a tablecloth? The kitchen work surface was not totally clean, a dirty baking tray had been left in a cupboard, the cooking utensils on the stand were well worn and didn’t feel inclined to use. No teacups and saucers, only mugs some of which were thick with advertising on them. We used two bedrooms facing the terrace, both beds were uncomfortable; suggest mattresses are turned. In the bedroom through the lounge, the water is not running away efficiently in the shower. In the separate bathroom, the toilet seat is not fixed properly. At least one bedside lamp is not working. In the garden/terrace, there is no proper seating area only several tables and chairs and the set by the shed looked as if they had not been cleaned for some while. Also, just benches and who wants to sit on those for an afternoon reading ? This is definitely NOT a luxury property unless you assume three bedrooms/bathrooms, a jacuzzi, and a partial sea view makes it so. We believe the owners live upstairs; surely they inspect the property downstairs regularly to ensure it is up to scratch. Very disappointing and we will certainly not be recommending any of our friends/family. Maureen and Eric Blumenfeld

Firstly, we would like to assure you that we take all feedback very seriously and thus we will consider each of your points very carefully when considering what action to take. We recognise that we have chosen to decorate and equip The Seascape in a contemporary style and that this might not suit people of a particular age group. On some of your points we would simply disagree, for example your statement that the apartment is gloomy, since daylight pours into each room through a combination of windows, French, and patio doors. It also has a panoramic rather than a partial sea view. Sadly, you did not give us an opportunity to address any of the simpler issues, even though we left two messages checking that everything was all right for you. For example, the cleaning team would have happily returned to address cleaning and kitchen equipment issues, and we would have investigated and if necessary, rectified the maintenance issues you mention. We are sorry that you found your experience of The Seascape disappointing, but we can’t help feeling that it reflected the poor weather and your preference to find fault rather than to address issues with us directly. Fortunately, the other nine reviews we have received through VRBO give a much more balanced and realistic view of what a guest should expect from The Seascape.

Place was amazing x we were blown away

From moment we arrived we were thrilled. Everything immaculate, views amazing, attention to details including robes and towels, hot tub was super, bottle of wine for us, red squirrels outside, reclining sofas, ice maker, tea and coffee and biscuits. Everything was organised and nothing too much trouble. Beds ultra comfortable. Short drive into shanklin but you could walk. We couldn’t have been happier. Thank you so much we will definitely visit again.

Seascape: a wonderful apartment in Luccombe Road, Shanklin

The apartment is in a great location and has wonderful views to the sea and beyond. As five friends meeting up again for our biennial reunion it couldn't have been better. It provided everything we needed for a self catering or going out holiday break. If the weather had been kinder, the garden and hot tub would have seen more use! I would highly recommend this apartment for those wanting a luxury get-away!

A perfect island retreat

We've just enjoyed a fabulous week in this most beautiful home. It's perfectly situated with stunning views and the apartment is just wonderfully appointed both inside and out! Amazing accommodation

We received a very warm welcome at The Seascape . This is 5 star accommodation with everything you need for a lovely break in the beautiful Isle of Wight . The rooms are tastefully decorated and everything is is a high quality . The hot tub was fun and enjoyed by all . The location is quiet with lovely views .. we will be back soon .
