Villa Belica ist ein wunderschönes 3-Schlafzimmer-Ferienhaus in Bohinj, das Platz für bis zu 7 Personen bietet. Nur wenige Autominuten vom Bohinj-See, einem der schönsten Naturschätze Sloweniens, und in der Nähe des erstklassigen Skisports in Vogel und einer großen Auswahl an Fluss-, See- und Bergaktivitäten in Sommer. Am Rande eines ruhigen Dorfes mit Wochenendchalets gelegen, befindet sich auf einer Seite des Chalets ein wunderschöner, von Wald umgebener Garten, auf der anderen Seite ein Panoramablick auf die Julischen Alpen. Die Villa verfügt über drei Schlafzimmer (ein Zweibettzimmer, zwei Doppelzimmer - eines mit eigenem Bad, eines mit Balkon), ein großes Wohn- / Esszimmer, das zur Terrasse führt, eine voll ausgestattete Küche, zwei Badezimmer und ein zusätzliches WC sowie ein zweites Wohnzimmer im Untergeschoss und Waschküche. Sehr schön eingerichtet und auf höchstem Niveau ausgestattet, einschließlich einem schönen Garten mit Lounge-Sitzen, Essbereich im Freien und einem Grillbereich. Great House, terrible WiFi

This is a large, spacious house with great views of the mountains. It is well furnished and decorated. It also has a TVs and DVDs player. That said the 3G/4G coverage is terrible as is the WiFi. The property needs a dedicated antenna, without it you are in for frustration. What they have just now just doesn't work adequately The kitchen is also tiny for the size of the house and lacks a microwave, and the freezer is in the basement. The cupboard draws also catch the walls and the radiator, it is not well thought out. The kitchen also lacks things like an oven glove, slotted spoon and a working percalater. Lots of the cups also had chips in them. Next to the house are two other plots which new properties are being worked on, though not all the time. The harmonica playing builder was a novelty. The village is near by but walking to it is not advisable as there are no paths on the road or street lights. There is a path through the woods but this takes about 40 minutes. As a base for exploring the area it is adequate. It could so easily however have been much better.

Many thanks for your feedback. Apologies for the poor wifi service. Just before your stay we had replaced the modem at the house and the new modem is poorer at picking up the mobile network signal that the old one (due to the location of the house the internet is on the mobile network). We are working to install an antenna to improve the reception. It will still not be fibre optic speed, but most guests find it Ok for moderate holiday usage and understand it is not uncommon for some alpine villages / locations to have slower internet reception than guests might be used to in thier home cities. It would be fair I think also to mention in your review the considerable efforts we made to improve the service for you with multiple visits to the house, calls to the providers and conversations with you. As for the kitchen sorry to hear you didnt like that, but it is exactly as shown on the pictures of the property and descriptions of the appliances available etc. It is true that it is not the largest kitchen but in our view it is well designed, attractive and quite practical in the way it is semi open plan with the dining room. We take your comments about chipped cups and will be going through that with the owners at the end of the season. The village of Polje is a charming village of holiday chalets and great mountain views with a couple of restaurants in walking distance from the house, there are indeed no streetlights and these are country lanes without pavements, but for many people that is part of the charm of the place and it is not usual to expect lights and pavements in tiny alpine villages. The path to the lake and the nieghbouring village of Ribčev Laz is a lovely walk through the forest (usually less than 30 mins), which many guests really enjoy.

Villa Bellica-

What we really liked about the house: -Location is good with a nice view of the mountains. -The living-room downstairs with all the games and DVD's . -The kitchen was well equipped ,except for the Freeser. -In summer ,the garden and the table outside are really useful. The house was very nice , but there were a few things that could make us feel better : -It would be nice to have in the house a little bit of extra material like Toilet-Paper, washing detergents ,tablets for the Dishwasher ,etc.(we had to go specially and buy all that during our stay.). -No Freeser in the Kitchen (In summer times it's a must .) Overall , we enjoyed our stay and surprised to discover how beutiful Slovenia is.(The food in the region is awsom). We can recommend this house for families with kids.

Très agréable maison de vacances, idéalement située au calme et avec une très jolie vue

Globalement, nous sommes ravis de notre séjour et de la villa. Un peu décu du rapport qualité-prix...le prix de la location s'élevait pour nous a 350€ par nuit. Déception au niveau de l'équipement sommaire de la cuusine. Pas de machine à café, pas de four à micro-ondes, les couverts en nombre réduit ( nous étions 5), l'écoulement des eaux dans la salle de bain du bas. On s'attendait, pour le prix, à un équipement plus complet ou plus moderne. Sinon très belle maison et idéalement situé dans un havre de paix. Des petites choses mais globalement un très bel endroit.

It can be a nice place after some improvements

The house is well located. Heating was very good. The kitchen is well equipped. Altogether, a good house which needs some more attention and maintenance. Below are some specific points. 1. The house was not really clean when we received it. The beddings looked like someone used it before. 2. There are not enough towels. We were four people and only four (relatively) small towels were given, and they looked like used. 3. The two bathrooms have no furniture. No place to put toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant etc. in the bathrooms, no place to put soap and shampoo inside the bath and shower. 4. The bath in the upper floor needs a curtain. The lack of it results in a very wet floor after a shower is taken. 5. The Wi-Fi does not really work. The only way that we could use it is putting the receiver outside. Thus, when raining and snowing there is no Wi-Fi. 6. The basement has a terrible smell – we were unable to use it.

Many thanks for your review and sorry you were not happy with some elements of the stay. We use professional cleaners and a professional laundry and have checked with both and the house was definitely prepared for you as normal and the house was clean and bedding was fresh. You asked whether we could send up the cleaners again and change all the towels and bed linen for you which we did. In terms of numbers of towels, at the moment we offer one towel person, but we will speak to the owners about providing more towels in future based on your comments. Likewise will will suggest to them to get some shelves for bathroom and shower curtain / screen for the top bathroom. We are currently working with a local builder to install ventilation in the basement. The smell you mentioned comes from the heating oil tanks, but this does not usually smell outside this area if the 2 doors to this area are kept closed and the window in that room left open which is how it was prepared before arrival. The wifi signal is a problem in the area, but usually works well enough for guests for normal browsing / emailing / social media etc. For large media downloads it is not suitable and it also can be affected by certain extreme weather conditions as you mentioned since the signal is through the mobile network.

Villa Belica - Summer 2010

Excellent property. Really clean & well maintained. Local agent / housekeeper really helpful. Great location close to main villages and attractions not to mention fantastic views of Triglav. Don't forget to go to Tourist Information and get the Bohinj Guest Card - gives discounts at some attractions but most usefully allows free parking in area.

We had a great time!

The villa is situated in a small village surrounded by mountains. There are many things that worth seeing in the vicinity, like Bled or Lake Bohinj. The villa itself is clean, well furnished and very comfortable. The living room has stunning view on the mountains. It was spacious enough for 8 of us (4 couples) and the owners were very kind too. Overall we had a great time here.

Villa Belica, Slovenia

Villa Belica is an ideal place for those looking to have a lot of walking, hiking and skiing. The place is modern, well fitted and we were well looked after by the housekeeper Mirko and his daughter Nika who live closeby. In October, the villages and lakes were quiet and peaceful, just what we wanted. Bled has some outstanding golf courses and restaurants and a drive up the mountains from the villa led us to a no of villages with pristine beauty and peace. We loved Slovenia and will be back again for sure.

Great house!

We were 4 young travelers and had a great time at Villa Belica. The owners were so helpful and were always there before, during and after our stay if we needed anything anytime. They gave great directions to the house and were very helpful. The house on the inside looks very modern, clean, nicely designed and furnished, very comfortable beds and sheets, well equipped kitchen... It is very well located next to lake Bohinj and about 25min from Bled. We highly recommend it to everyone! Tal

Fantastic!!!

I don't have enough good things to say about this property and company. The descriptions were accurate, the place was extremely clean and well maintained and everyone we dealt with were friendly and helpful. The property is in a wonderful and quiet area that might have been hard to find if we had not gotten such excellent driving directions including pictures of intersections. It is right outside the National Park and about 15 minutes from Bled. I have already recommended it to a few friends.
