Diese Unterkunft erstreckt sich über 3 Ebenen und verfügt über viele Treppen, so dass die Gäste körperlich sein müssen.

Sie benötigen ein Auto, da es keine öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel in der Nähe gibt - oder Sie können Taxis benutzen.

Wir akzeptieren bis zu 2 Hunde, die im Stall ausgebildet sind und zur Sicherung unseres Viehbestandes gehalten werden müssen. Wir akzeptieren nicht alle Rassen. Bitte geben Sie bei einer Anfrage die Rasse an.

Ein makellos geräumiges Anwesen mit 2 Schlafzimmern und einem Badezimmer auf einem privaten, sicheren Anwesen in einer ruhigen Gasse. Ca. 950 Quadratfuß. Lounge, separates Esszimmer mit Holzofen, moderne Küche, Bad, alles zu einem hohen Standard präsentiert und mit einer Mischung aus modernen und antiken Möbeln eingerichtet. Die Unterkunft ist für 4 Personen ausgelegt. Allerdings können wir 6 mit der Nutzung von 2 Betten schlafen und es gibt einen Aufpreis für die Gäste 5 und 6.

Diese Eigenschaft ist Teil unseres Hauses und wir freuen uns, Ihnen während Ihres Aufenthalts zu helfen.

Wonderful accommodation with a most delightful host, you could not ask for a more friendly, fun and helpful owner who is onsite for advice and any needs that you may have. She also has the most beautiful garden which if you are lucky enough she will show you around! (Yes please Lesley, next time). Superb location in beautiful countryside. We used Uber to get around which proved ideal, Windsor can be a nightmare to park in. I would very highly recommend Lesley and her tastefully furnished cottage, enjoy your visit!

Fantastic guests who stayed on their way home back to Australia. They managed to fit in a visit to Windsor and went to Twickenham for the rugby, all in a very short time. Everything was left in perfect condition. Highly recommended.

A wonderful place if you want to experience the English countryside. Close to lovely walks including the Long Walk in the Great Park and Savill Garden. Lots of food choices in nearby Englefield Green.

Where to start...The Gatehouse is an absolute gem of a holiday getaway, the pictures are good but don't do it justice! The Gatehouse is very clean, exceptionally cosy and well equipped! We had a wonderful time for a girly weekend break and cannot wait to go back! Lesley, who owns and runs the property was brilliant and amazing, she made us feel absolutely welcome and made us smile all weekend! I cannot say enough good things, it's really a very special place!

Short 2couple stay

Very enjoyable 3night stay in this well managed , clean , modern , comfortable gatehouse. Excellent location and entertaining owners and "pet" chickens. Stairs could be a problem for bad knee travelers but is not a issue for active elderly. Good Italian Tratoria nearby and very quiet location and private safe parking. All in all an excellent choice in all respects. Thanks , Lesley for a great stay.

We loved our stay SOOOO much!!

It was such fun to stay at the Gatehouse! There was plenty of room for my family of 5. The neighborhood was quiet with stores within 5-10 minutes of driving. We were 10 minutes from Windsor castle and 15 minutes from the train we took into London. Leslie was WONDERFUL!!! It was so fun to meet her. My daughter says to tell everyone that the dog and chickens are sweet. :)

Large house in beautiful english landscape

We choose this location for the proximity to Windsor and to the Beaumont Estate where we attended a conference. We could not be more happy. We were welcomed by the owner, who did her best to make us feel comfortable at the Gatehouse. We had plenty of space for our group of five. The house has been recetly renovated, it is nicely decorated and has all you need for a pleasant stay. The place is also very quite. Highly recommended.

100-year-old gatehouse charm

We had a wonderful stay at this 100-year-old gatehouse property in England. The house is full of charm and history, and the host was very gracious and accommodating. The gatehouse is full of character and set on multiple levels. The main house where Lesley the host lives, is all part of this beautiful property and spacious grounds. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions and countryside and also not far from the train station and the village pub, which has superb food. You will need a car though. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience.

What a great property with so much character and charm! Lesley (the property owner) was an awesome host who made us feel as if we had been friends for years. And, she provided a bottle of wine when she greeted us upon arrival! The property is very convenient to Englefield Green, Egham, Windsor and London. From Egham Rail Station, it's easy to access central London, Wimbledon and the London suburbs. Englefield Green and Egham both have lots of places to eat and pretty places to stroll. Strolling around Lesley's garden and fields is a great way to start or finish your day. The property was just right for four adults; and, it's very convenient to Heathrow. We can't wait to return!

Great spot!

Lesley is, as many other guests have said, a fantastic host. Upon arrival she showed us the guest house and gave us the rundown. Our navigation system in the car stopped us about half a mile short of the farm, in the housing subdivision so consider carrying on into the farm land just beyond the smaller houses if yours does the same. Be prepared for a few stairs. Everything was clean, well kept, quiet with modern appliances, a nice eating area, living room upstairs, back bedrooms. Plenty of parking, easy to use gate clicker. Without doubt, we would stay again. And we would certainly head for supper at the Barley Mow up the road too!! Thanks for a great stay!

Christmas visit to The Gatehouse

We had a fantastic time at The Gatehouse - despite all of us falling ill ! It was comfortable and warm and was a real home from home ! We loved the grounds and the total ambience and Lesley' s little touches of kindness- a little Christmas tree and well stocked coffee tea and sugar and milk in the fridge . We loved the area and the walks for our dog . Above all we loved Lesley's humour - she had us all in stitches most of the time - we could not have asked for a more genuine host . We felt very relaxed on our first Christmas ever away from home ! Thankyou a million times Lesley we hope to be back soon - perhaps even next Christmas !? And how lucky was I?! Just the best, most friendly family that I could have wished for over the Christmas holiday. By the time you left, I felt I had made new friends and was sad when you went. I too felt completely relaxed in your company, which I enjoyed immensely. Not something I take for granted with the rental business. Vacation Base Camp

Charming and enchanting cottage. This cottage in Windsor is a great base to see much of England. We went all the way to Canterbury and Dover in a day-only to come back to a clean and quiet place to stay to rest. It is very easy to go to London on the train and you can easily drive on over to Stonehenge as well. Lesley is very accommodating and makes sure that you are very comfortable. The property is like a big garden overflowing with flowers. Getting into the heart of Windsor is only about a 5 minute drive-so easy! We did so many day trips from the cottage, and it was so nice to come back at night to a quiet and relaxing getaway. Highly recommend this place. I hope we can come back one day.

Lovely property with character plus plenty of space outside for our dog.

Great property and ideal for us as with have a dog that needs lots of exercise. Location excellent for Windsor and the Great Park (plus other areas in the vicinity). We stayed over the Easter weekend so didn’t want to travel too far. With Savill Gardens and the entrance to the Park just over a mile away (car needed), this was spot on for us. Good selection of restaurants nearby. The Fox & Hounds was ideal as it allowed dogs plus we could sit outside in their front garden. Food good also. Lesley was very helpful and on hand should we have needed it. Overall a peaceful and relaxing weekend we thoroughly enjoyed.

Magical Christmas Holiday

Everything about our visit was utterly exquisite. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we were treated with warmth, friendliness and a hospitality that would be extremely difficult to surpass. We were welcomed with open arms and throughout our stay, the owners were very attentive to our needs whilst not being at all intrusive. By the end of the holiday, it felt like we'd become part of the family. The layout of the Gatehouse makes it a unique, charismatic and really fun place to stay. The added magic of Christmas made it feel like we were in our very own romcom. The property is decorated beautifully and features all mod cons and is incredibly warm and cosy. We all agreed that we enjoyed some of the best sleep we'd experienced for a long time as the beds were extremely comfortable. Views from the upstairs rooms look straight out onto the fields and woodland. Nearby are many attractions of historic interest and natural beauty which make this property a must for anyone wanting to visit nearby Windsor Castle, Great Park and surrounding area. Thank you so much for making our Christmas amazing and for giving us lifelong memories of a beautiful holiday. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this property to anyone who is looking for something completely different and out of the ordinary.

Lovely Gatehouse cottage near Virginia Water

Lovely Gatehouse on an impressive former Farm Estate. Enough privacy in combination with a very welcoming owner. We felt right at home. Lovely area with the Windsor Great Park next door and the beautiful Savill Garden around the corner. Windsor Castle within 10 minutes, Londen City center 35 minutes by car or train. For golfers this is a location made in heaven, with Wentworth, Sunningdale and other magical courses in the neighborhood.

Wonderful guests from Holland. They looked after our Gatehouse so well and even stripped the beds on departure. They are friendly and easy going and I would recommend them immediately.

Wonderfull stay at a beautifull property

We had a great time in the gatehouse and Lesley made us feel very welcome. Our boys spent times with all the animals, a perfect plays to stay when you love the countryside and want to visit London and all the other interesting places.

Wonderful, friendly guests, who left our property in an immaculate condition. The boys were delightful and I thoroughly enjoyed introducing them to all our animals. I do hope I will get the opportunity to welcome them again.

Excellent place to stay

the property was beautiful - private, extremely clean, short of nothing, spacious, lovely furniture, peaceful location, easy to find and in a great location for accessing surrounding areas in Surrey, Windsor, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. Could not fault it. Lesley the host/owner of the property is on hand if you need her but I doubt you ever would as everything is immaculate and in good order. Lesley is a lovely and welcoming person and we will most definitely return to stay at this property.

Lovely couple with a super dog. It transpired we were very much on the same wave length. If they want to book your property, grab them! They are friendly, good fun, and so, so clean and tidy. They looked after The Gatehouse as if it were their own. I sincerely hope they return as they were such fab guests.

This quiet, private location is a rarity. You will think you are staying in the country. Yet we are very convenient as a base to explore London or many of the tourist attractions in the south of UK. Windsor Great Park is just a couple of minutes drive away and Windsor itself is about 10 minutes.
We are also close to many important sporting events inc. racing at Ascot, Henley, Smiths Lawn Polo, Wentworth and Sunningdale golf.

A rural location away from the rat race, yet with easy access to London (Waterloo - 34 mins), and the M25/M3/M4/M40. Heathrow Airport is a mere 8 miles away.
