Swn y Don ist ein fantastisches Haus in einer fantastischen Lage. Aus dem Walisischen übersetzt
Swn y Don bedeutet "Klang der Wellen". Dieses herrliche freistehende Haus liegt in dem hübschen Hafendorf Cemaes Bay. Modern, luxuriös und alles auf einer Ebene, das Haus liegt am Rande des Küstenweges mit einigen der dramatischsten Ausblicke auf die Insel! Gehen Sie aus den großen Falttüren, vorbei an dem großen Luxus-Whirlpool, über den gepflegten Rasen und am Ende des Gartens ist das Meer! Sie sind buchstäblich auf dem Küstenweg und einer der schönsten Wanderungen in Wales! Im Hafendorf Cemaes Bay mit seinen vielen Geschäften und handwerklichen Bäckereien und Metzgereien gelegen, ganz zu schweigen von dem sehr malerischen Strand "Traeth Mawr". Die Küstenlinie in diesem Teil der Insel ist wild und zerklüftet und einige würden sagen, der schönste Teil von Nordwales. So ähnlich ist es an einigen der Küsten weiter nördlich, dass dieser Küstenabschnitt liebevoll als "Schottland Bach" oder kleines Schottland bezeichnet wird.

Peaceful with a beautiful view

Had such a relaxing time with the family. Lots of lovely walks with stunning views and swimming in the sea in the little bays close by. Then back to the hot tub and enjoy the view from the garden. An excellent holiday - one to highly recommend.

Husbands 50th celebrations

6 adults 2 children abs dog. House was perfect. Had everything and was clean and spacious. Walks from the garden to the beach are perfect for dogs. Pub a 7 minute walk to the village - with other shops, cafes etc. Sunday dinner in the bay view hotel was gorgeous!! Hot tub great! Would definitely recommend and go back x

Great stay

An amazing house with lots of communal space, yet also spacious enough to provide everyone with their own space if needed.The location was good, with direct access to the coastal path if you turn right from the garden gate (note that the path was closed for a left turn due to erosion). It's only a short walk to the beach(es) and the town. Town had one pub serving food, a fish n chip shop and a Morrisons local - beyond that, everything is a drive away (nearest supermarket circa 30 mins drive).The central heating and radiators in the house were great, we visited in April, so it was still cold at times, so the fantastic central heating was welcome!Bedrooms were roomy and the beds were comfy, good showers also. The washing machine and the dryer were welcome fixtures in the house - it meant we could travel pretty light. The kitchen was well equipped, with an oven, hob, microwave and airfryer, making any self-catering meals easy to knock up.The views from the conservatory and when in the hot tub are great, especially on a sunny day.The only issue we had was the internet, the service was very intermittent/slow, in this day and age it is almost an essential utility, especially when you have teenagers with you (or you have to try and join a meeting as was my case).We would happily stay there again

Autumn Break

The location and size of the property is excellent. However there are area that need improvement as they are tired such as the TV in the front room and the bathroom one doesn't work at all. The kitchen equipment is in need of replacement and I decided to purchase a frying pan and baking trays myself as didn't feel comfortable to use the ones left. Other items were broken, which is all a shame as these little improvements would make a huge difference.

Stunning!

We chose the house for the situation and view from the garden and it is even better than the pictures show. It was very spacious (more than we needed as a family of 4 plus dog) and well equipped, spotless and really warm which in Feb was important! There is an annex with big bedroom and lovely bathroom (both with sea views) as well as a mini kitchenette and sofa area which could be useful for larger groups. Highlight is the view from the sun room and the hot tub (which is massive and top quality) out to the sea and there are lovely cliff and beach walks from the back gate. Enclosed garden is perfect for dogs to run around in. Cemaes Bay is pretty small but chip shop is good and general store has the essentials. Bay View Hotel worth a visit as it the Lobster Poy in Church Bay. Mark was very responsive to questions before and during our stay. Highly recommend.

Just as beautiful second time around. Stunning view. Lovely walking distance village and that includes walking dustance for a lazy 4 year old! Ice cream shop opened up in village which is a lovely bonus. Clean beautiful beach again easy walking distance. Only holiday home i have come back too and would do so again.

Autumn Family getaway

Turned up to the house in the dark, but impressed straight away with the property. All rooms to high standard and well laid out with the addition of the small kitchen/bedroom/bathroom/living area which was excellent for our family with an infant to have thier own space. Well equipped and hot tub/garden provided fabulous extra space and stunning views. Lovely walk to the village over the cliffs and Cemaes Bay itself is great to visit, fabulous coastline/beach, shop, icecream parlour, pubs and a chippy! Easy driving distance to other places of interest in Anglesey. Fabulous weeks stay.

Beautiful Location

Fantastic location. Very helpful owners/property manager. Kitchen pans could do with an upgrade. Two bathroom windows wouldn’t open and the small bedroom has paint flaking from the ceiling onto to the bed. Internet connection is very slow if you need to work. None of these minor criticisms would put me off staying again.

Beautiful bolthole to have peace and quiet

Every member of the family enjoyed their stay. Every day something different to do and see. The villa was as described spacious clean in fact everything you could wish for. The showers were amazing. Loved the beer/wine fridge. The garden was maintained so big too. The views were spectacular. We would highly recommend.

Amazing property beautiful location

I cant praise this holiday property enough...to start with on arrival there is a key codecso really easy. Inside on arrival property was spotlessly clean. Lovely touches that made lofe with a todler so easy. Dishwasher tablets, washing capsules, bottle of prosecco all supplied. Everything you would need to relax was there. Sensor lights which helps a little one if they wake and not sure where they are. A window from kitchen to hugh conservatory so i could watch toddler when i was in the kitchen. Lovely flow to the property. Then the view...stunning doesnt capture the view. Plus the sunsets out to sea which is beautiful. So relaxing. Hottub brilliant! All the bedrooms were nicely decorated so home from home feel. The beach is sandy and only a few minutes walk from the proprty so again ideal for a young family. The cafe in the village does lovely food too. To top it off we left some clothes behind in one of the bedrooms...lorraine spotted this before we did a is posting them back for us. What a gem. We will look to return in the future.
