Everything was made so easy by Annabel. Check in was great, on time and the house was immaculate. Possibly the best equipped house we have ever stayed in. There was everything we could have needed and more. Beautiful Emma Bridgewater crockery.

Gorgeous stay at Blue Monkey

We had the best stay at Blue Monkey. The house was perfect, nice and cosy for our winter weekend. Right next to the beach we did lots of swimming hiking and relaxing. We will definately be back! 🤩

Magical Blue Monkey

We had a wonderful week staying at Blue Monkey, the cottage provides everything you need plus more. One visit and you'll be hooked. Great area for a holiday, lovely village, great pubs and the wonderful Moran's cafe, go check it out for yours.elves

Blue onkey was welcoming and homely with lots of pleasant touches , the welcome pack was great!

Our holiday included three small connected families - including a nine year old, a toddler and a teenager plus 2 dogs. As the weather was changeable, we made out own entertainment from beachcombing and collecting seaglass to rockpooling, dog walking and exploring the area. As one of our company has been very poorly lately, we were determined to have fun. This involved two pirate nights where we dressed up and generally enjoyed ourselves! Duncan cooked delicious meals including a thai curry and we woke to the smell of freshly baked bread most mornings. We set off with enthusiasm for a longish walk to the Mount Edgecombe estate via Port Picklecombe - the cocker spaniel , Charley, & golden retriever, Sonny ,really relished the walk. The dramatic scenery was spectacular and the mounting storm clouds even more so! Eventually a full-blown electrical storm saw us all running for the cover and warming coffee of the Edgecombe stables coffee shop! Some of our group then chickened out by returning in a taxi! On Monday evening we ordered pizza takeaways from the nearby shop - I think we over ordered but we had cold pizza slices for our beach picnic the next day. A beach we liked was Port Wrinkle - it was warm that day and we all went in for a swim- quite an achievement with ages ranging from 17months to 76. All in all a good holiday - we hope to return to this lovely area and Blue Monkey soon.

Komfortabel ausgestattetes und liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus.

Wir würden Englisch mit Scones und auch einer Flasche Prosecco empfangen. Anabel erkundigte sich nach unserem Befinden. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und heimisch.

Wow! What a place to stay

We stay here with family after a busy wedding week. Could not have picked a better place to set up camp and relax. Everything was perfect and Annabel was amazing in arranging, communicating with us throughout.

What a place!

Firstly, the house is wonderful. Great size, lovely garden, fantastic bedrooms, superb location. Secondly, the area is so lovely. Never heard of it before, but it's stunning. Little beaches, plenty of nice pubs and The Bay restaurant nearby. Just perfect. We will be back!

Lovely home in Kingsand ❤️

The Blue Monkey is a beautiful and very comfortable home, with some gorgeously extravagant touches (best baths!) We loved using the wood burner and the very generously supplied logs. It’s a really lovely place to stay. They’ve thought of everything and I thoroughly recommend it.

Couldn't have been better.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Very well equipped for our younger family members, 3 under 1s. The location was perfect ,close to the sea and the car park is very close. Good pubs very near by. Lovely Stay at Blue Monkey

What an amazing house, right on the small high street. So close to pubs, a great cafe, beach, but feels like you are tucked away when in a great spacious house. Deco all modern and homely, and the log burning fire a great addition on a blustery cold weekend. Would improve nothing, only to say that I hope that we can book it again. Mike

Excellent Short Break at Blue Monkey

Went down to Blue monkey for an extended weekend. Had a fantastic time. The house was amazing with great facilities. The Village that it is situated in, is a picturesque, quaint Cornish village. It is lovely!!

A gem

A most relaxing week with friends & family from Switzerland. Excellent place with all the comforts one could wish for! The welcoming touches and the homely feel were exceptional. It really does feel like home from home. We all thought that the Rame peninsula and Kingsand/Cawsand in particular is a rather special place. We enjoyed our visit immensely!

Excellent place for a Cornish holiday, Facilities are first class and Beaches and places to eat are close by. Its not somewhere where you can park your car on the premises but there is an excellent car park at reasonable prices for the week within 25 metres of the property.

Great place to stay

Lovely family house, sparkling clean with soft white towels in the bedrooms. We had five adults, one toddler and 3 dogs staying and had plenty of space. Fresh flowers in all the rooms and a bottle of wine and scones on arrival was a lovely touch. The large family kitchen is very well equipped. Excellent location, being within short walking distance of the car park and also the pubs. Lovely costal walk nearby.

Luxury Accomadation

Being 2 families wishing to holiday together,spanning the age from 0 to 70's,and needing space and activities for all, Blue Monkey gave us this in abundance.Unlike other viewed properties, staircase was wide and no difficult stairs to reach the bedrooms.As one entered B M there was a very welcoming feel. Fresh flowers in the sitting room + kitchen, in the fridge wine and clotted cream and fire laid ready for a lit match. More than met expectations eg those lovely white fluffy towels,light duvets, pretty Emma B crockery etc etc. Nearby walks long or short to suit one's taste or a ferry ride to Plymouth,takes about 30 mins from Cawsand,over the road from B M the sea and sand await one,just seemed whatever pursuit you wished for,was on hand. Would certainly recommend to friends and family saying, a holiday in B M needs to be experienced asap. Can't wait to return "To the forgotten corner of Cornwall" and stay in this luxury abode.

Blue Monkey will not disappoint!

We arrived to a lovely welcome of homemade scones, clotted cream, local jam and a bottle of wine in the fridge! The perfect start to a wonderful holiday! The house was beautifully presented throughout and extremely well equipped for all. A real home from home. Thank you for making our stay so special. Gorgeous country chic

Thank you Blue Monkey for giving us the perfect location for our wonderful holiday. The house was immaculate, homely and luxurious on arrival. The master bedroom and bathroom were our favourite rooms - massive and very elegant! The dining/living room was very comfortable and relaxing. The garden provided a great setting for BBQ's and out door lunches. We would defiantley recommend the Rame and Mount Edgcombe walks - the dogs loved their coastal runs. The beaches are a 1 and 5 minute walk, pubs 1 minute - very handy having the local store so close too. The house is very dog and baby friendly being a great choice for our family holiday. We will be back and will be recommending Blue Monkey to our friends.

?Lovely House in Lovely Position? 5 of 5

We chose Blue Monkey because while it is in Cornwall, you are spared the nightmare of driving down through to the far south or north of the County. While only just in Cornwall, Cawsand has all the trappings of a typical Cornish village. All very quaint and picturesque but without any tawdry hat. The cottage itself is a very well modernised three storey house with bags of room. A very large kitchen and courtyard garden make eating and drinking at home a pleasure. But Cawsand/Kingsand is well provided with pubs of all kinds. The Devonport is particularly good for food and the Rising Sun for beer. The beaches are great for lounging and swimming and even in the July 2013 heat wave were never too busy. Wonderful costal walks make it ideal for dogs and the rock pools make it perfect for kids. The little ferry to Barbican is ideal for a day trip to Plymouth where we enjoyed the aquarium. All in all a perfect spot for a family holiday.
