Rena We always try to fix issues when they occur rather than hearing about them 2 months after the stay in a review. Some of the disappointment is within our control. We check all the lights on a regular basis and I am not sure why this was not sorted prior to the stay . I have spoken to the house keeper and we have amended our procedures so ALL lamps are checked on every rent. The heating was turned on at 12 noon for this rental as requested, the house is large and can take a while to heat up. We have HIVE active heating and we check the temperature of the house during the rent to make sure that the heating is running and a comfortable temperature is maintained. The radiator in bedroom in question has now been made tamper proof, but an electric heater was available to use in this room so not sure why it wasn't used. There are only 2 stairs to the bathroom on the first floor. The games room is as stated on the web site. The table football is a professional setup and can be used by all ages and abilities, we did have darts and snooker in the pass but these were damaged by others so were removed. As for shops being closed in mid winter this is out of our control. If I seemed curt, I cannot help this, I do respond quickly and try to fix things for renter even when they call late in the evening or when I am just about to go to an event, I think I spoke to Rena on arrival and about the damage bond which was a little late in repayment but we do state 2-4 weeks and due to our own holiday. But renters must understand the bond covers laundry and use of SKY movies and these can take time to cycle through, unfortunately some renters hide damage and misuse the SKY account so we have to treat all renters in the same way. Susie how many cars did you have, we have been going since 2009 and never have had an issue . You can o park 3 cars outside the house and further cars on the street 10 -20 yards down the road I will update the description

Thanks for your comments, as we said at the time of your stay we had some problems with the cleaner and that has been dealt with. We are moving the games area over the autumn as the pool table as suffered with Sun damage and this will be moved to the large basement area as soon as we can.

I am sorry the this visitor found some problems, we are in the process of upgrading the furniture, which was damaged but people sitting on the arms on the sofas, in the meantime have put some throws over these during the summer. Complaints about minor repairs, well if visitors do not tell us about faults it is difficult to repair, the BBQ area has been sett up for disposable BBQ to be used and we tell customer this prior to arrival. The games room I will admit needs some work, but we find that damage occurs and is not reported. None of these comments were reported at the the of the let so it is impossible for use to rectify. We leave keys so that guest can arrive at a time that suits them. We have noted all the comments and will correct them. BUT GUESTS SHOULD MAKE CONTACT WITH ME DURING THE LET SO FAULTS CAN BE CORRECTED RATHER THAN POST A BAD REVIEW.
